Salmos 72
1 Para Salomón. Oh Dios, entrega al Rey tu juicio, y tu justicia al Hijo del Rey;
“For Solomon.” To the king, O God! give thy justice, And to the son of a king thy righteousness!
2 para que Él gobierne a tu pueblo con justicia, y a los humildes tuyos con equidad.
Yea! he shall judge thy people with equity, And thine oppressed ones with justice.
3 Los montes traerán al pueblo la paz; y los collados, la justicia.
For the mountains shall bring forth peace to the people, And the hills, through righteousness.
4 Él defenderá a los humildes del pueblo, Él salvará a los hijos de los pobres, y aplastará al opresor.
He shall defend the oppressed of the people; He shall save the needy, And break in pieces the oppressor.
5 Permanecerá como el sol, y como la luna, de generación en generación.
They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon shall endure, From generation to generation.
6 Descenderá, como lluvia, sobre el prado segado, como las aguas que riegan la tierra.
He shall be like rain descending on the mown field, —Like showers which water the earth.
7 En sus días florecerá la justicia, y abundará la paz mientras dure la luna.
In his days shall the righteous flourish, And great shall be their prosperity, as long as the moon shall endure.
8 Y Él dominará de mar a mar, y desde el Río hasta los confines de la tierra.
He shall have dominion from sea to sea, And from the river to the ends of the earth.
9 Ante Él se prosternarán sus enemigos, y sus adversarios lamerán el polvo.
They that dwell in the desert shall bow before him, And his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 Los reyes de Tarsis y de las islas le ofrecerán tributos; los reyes de Arabia y de Sabá le traerán presentes.
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts;
11 Y lo adorarán los reyes todos de la tierra; todas las naciones le servirán.
Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; All nations shall serve him.
12 Pues Él librará al que clama desvalido, y al mísero que no tiene amparo.
For he shall deliver the poor who crieth for aid, And the oppressed who hath no helper.
13 Se compadecerá del necesitado y del pobre, y a los indigentes salvará la vida,
He shall spare the weak and needy, And save the lives of the poor.
14 los libertará del daño y de la opresión, y la sangre de ellos será preciosa a sus ojos.
He shall redeem them from deceit and violence, And their blood shall be precious in his sight.
15 Por eso vivirá; y le darán del oro de Arabia, orarán siempre a causa de Él; sin cesar le bendecirán.
He shall prosper, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba; Prayer also shall be made for him continually, And daily shall he be praised.
16 Habrá abundancia de trigo en la tierra; en las cumbres de los montes ondeará su fruto como el Líbano; y florecerán los habitantes de las ciudades como la grama del campo.
There shall be an abundance of corn in the land; Its fruit shall shake like Lebanon, even on the tops of the mountains; And they of the cities shall flourish as the grass of the earth.
17 Su nombre será para siempre bendito, mientras dure el sol permanecerá el nombre suyo; y serán benditas en Él todas las tribus de la tierra; todas las naciones lo proclamarán bienaventurado.
His name shall endure for ever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun. By him shall men bless themselves; All nations shall call him blessed.
18 Bendito sea Yahvé, Dios de Israel, único que hace maravillas;
[[Praised be God, Jehovah, the God of Israel, Who alone doeth wonderful things!
19 y bendito sea por siempre su glorioso Nombre; llénese de su gloria toda la tierra. ¡Así sea; así sea!
Praised be his glorious name for ever! May his glory fill the whole earth! Amen, Amen!
