Salmos 4
1 Al maestro de música. Para instrumentos de cuerda. Salmo de David. Cuando te invoque, óyeme ¡oh Dios de mi justicia! Tú, que en la tribulación me levantaste, ten misericordia de mí, y acoge mi súplica.
To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me [when I was] in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 Hijos de hombres ¿hasta cuándo seréis insensatos? ¿Por qué amáis la vanidad y buscáis lo que es mentira?
O ye sons of men, how long [will ye turn] my glory into shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, [and] seek after falsehood? (Selah)
3 Sabed que Yahvé favorece maravillosamente al santo suyo; cuando le invoco, Yahvé me oye.
But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call to him.
4 Temblad, y no queráis pecar; dentro de vuestros corazones, en vuestros lechos, recapacitad y enmudeced.
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
5 Ofreced sacrificios de justicia, y esperad en Yahvé.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
6 Muchos dicen: “¿Quién nos mostrará los bienes?” Alza Tú sobre nosotros la luz de tu rostro, oh Yahvé.
[There are] many that say, Who will show us [any] good? LORD, lift thou upon us the light of thy countenance.
7 Tú has puesto en mi corazón mayor alegría que cuando abunda trigo y vino.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time [when] their corn and their wine increased.
8 Apenas me acuesto, me duermo en paz, porque Tú me das seguridad, oh Yahvé.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for thou only, LORD, makest me dwell in safety.
