Salmos 16
1 Presérvame, oh Dios, pues me refugio en Ti;
Preserve me, O God, for in thee do I take refuge.
2 dije a Yahvé: “Tú eres mi Señor, no hay bien para mí fuera de Ti”.
Thou my soul have said to Jehovah, Thou are my Lord. I have no good beyond thee.
3 En cuanto a los santos e ilustres de la tierra, no pongo en ellos mi afecto.
As for the sanctified who are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight.
4 Multiplican sus dolores los que corren tras falsos dioses; no libaré la sangre de sus ofrendas, ni pronunciaré sus nombres con mis labios.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts for another god. Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names upon my lips.
5 Yahvé es la porción de mi herencia y de mi cáliz; Tú tienes en tus manos mi suerte.
Jehovah is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup. Thou maintain my lot.
6 Las cuerdas (de medir) cayeron para mí en buen lugar, y me tocó una herencia que me encanta.
The lines are fallen to me in pleasant places. Yea, I have a fine heritage.
7 Bendeciré a Yahvé, porque me (lo) hizo entender, y aun durante la noche me (lo) enseña mi corazón.
I will bless Jehovah, who has given me counsel. Yea, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
8 Tengo siempre a Yahvé ante mis ojos, porque con Él a mi diestra no seré conmovido.
I beheld Jehovah always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Por eso se alegra mi corazón y se regocija mi alma, y aun mi carne descansará segura;
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices. My flesh also shall dwell in hope.
10 pues Tú no dejarás a mi alma en el sepulcro, ni permitirás que tu santo experimente corrupción. (Sheol h7585)
For thou will not leave my soul to Sheol, nor will thou allow thy holy man to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
11 Tú me harás conocer la senda de la vida, la plenitud del gozo a la vista de tu rostro, las eternas delicias de tu diestra.
Thou made known to me the path of life. Thou will fill me of joy with thy countenance.
