Salmos 13

1 Al maestro de coro. Salmo de David.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

2 ¿Hasta cuándo, Yahvé? ¿Me tendrás olvidado constantemente? ¿Hasta cuándo me esconderás tu rostro?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

3 ¿Hasta cuándo fatigaré mi alma con cavilaciones y mi corazón con tristezas cada día? ¿Hasta cuándo habrá de prevalecer sobre mí el enemigo?

Consider [and] hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;

4 Mira y respóndeme, Yahvé, Dios mío; alumbra mis ojos para que no me duerma en la muerte,

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

5 y no diga el adversario: “Lo he vencido.” Los que me afligen saltarían de gozo si yo cayera,

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 después de haber puesto mi confianza en tu misericordia. Sea mi corazón el que se alegre por tu socorro; cante yo a Yahvé por su bondad para conmigo.

I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
