Salmos 124

1 Cántico gradual. De David. Si Yahvé no hubiera estado con nosotros —dígalo ahora Israel—

A Song of the Ascents, by David. Save [for] Jehovah — who hath been for us, (Pray, let Israel say),

2 si no hubiera estado Yahvé de nuestra parte cuando los hombres se levantaron contra nosotros,

Save [for] Jehovah — who hath been for us, In the rising up of man against us,

3 nos habrían tragado vivos al inflamarse contra nosotros su furor;

Then alive they had swallowed us up, In the burning of their anger against us,

4 entonces nos habrían sumergido las aguas, el torrente habría pasado sobre nosotros

Then the waters had overflowed us, The stream passed over our soul,

5 y nuestra alma habría caído bajo las aguas tumultuosas.

Then passed over our soul had the proud waters.

6 Bendito sea Yahvé que no nos dio por presa de sus dientes.

Blessed [is] Jehovah who hath not given us, A prey to their teeth.

7 Nuestra vida escapó como un pájaro del lazo de los cazadores. El lazo se ha roto y hemos quedado libres.

Our soul as a bird hath escaped from a snare of fowlers, The snare was broken, and we have escaped.

8 Nuestro socorro está en el Nombre de Yahvé, el que hizo el cielo y la tierra.

Our help [is] in the name of Jehovah, Maker of the heavens and earth!
