Proverbios 8
1 He aquí que la sabiduría levanta la voz, y se hace oír la inteligencia.
Whether wisdom crieth not ofte; and prudence yyueth his vois?
2 En las altas cimas, junto a la carretera, en las encrucijadas de los caminos es donde se para.
In souereyneste and hiy coppis, aboue the weie, in the myddis of pathis,
3 En las puertas, en las entradas de la ciudad, en los umbrales de las casas, hace ella oír su voz:
and it stondith bisidis the yate of the citee, in thilke closyngis, and spekith, and seith, A!
4 “A vosotros, mortales, me dirijo, mi voz va a los hijos de los hombres.
ye men, Y crie ofte to you; and my vois is to the sones of men.
5 Aprended, oh necios, la sabiduría, y vosotros, oh insensatos, la inteligencia.
Litle children, vndirstonde ye wisdom; and ye vnwise men, `perseyue wisdom.
6 Escuchadme que voy a deciros cosas magníficas, y mis labios se abrirán para (enseñar) lo recto.
Here ye, for Y schal speke of grete thingis; and my lippis schulen be openyd, to preche riytful thingis.
7 Porque verdad proclama mi boca, y mis labios abominan la maldad.
My throte schal bithenke treuthe; and my lippis schulen curse a wickid man.
8 Justos son todos los dichos de mi boca; nada hay en ellos de torcido o perverso.
My wordis ben iust; no schrewid thing, nether weiward is in tho.
9 Todos son rectos para quien tiene inteligencia, y justos para quien llegó a entender.
`My wordis ben riytful to hem that vndurstonden; and ben euene to hem that fynden kunnyng.
10 Recibid mi instrucción, y no la plata, y la sabiduría, antes que el oro escogido.
Take ye my chastisyng, and not money; chese ye teching more than tresour.
11 Pues la sabiduría vale más que perlas, y todas las cosas deseables no la igualan.
For wisdom is betere than alle richessis moost preciouse; and al desirable thing mai not be comparisound therto.
12 Yo, la sabiduría, habito con la prudencia, y poseo el conocimiento más profundo.
Y, wisdom, dwelle in counsel; and Y am among lernyd thouytis.
13 Temer a Yahvé es detestar el mal; yo abomino la soberbia, la altivez, el mal camino y la boca perversa.
The drede of the Lord hatith yuel; Y curse boost, and pride, and a schrewid weie, and a double tungid mouth.
14 Mío es el consejo y la prudencia, mía la inteligencia y mía la fuerza.
Counseil is myn, and equyte `is myn; prudence is myn, and strengthe `is myn.
15 Por mí reinan los reyes y los príncipes administran la justicia.
Kyngis regnen bi me; and the makeris of lawis demen iust thingis bi me.
16 Por mí mandan los gobernantes, los grandes y todos los jueces de la tierra.
Princis comaunden bi me; and myyti men demen riytfulnesse bi me.
17 Yo amo a los que me aman; y los que me buscan me hallarán.
I loue hem that louen me; and thei that waken eerli to me, schulen fynde me.
18 En mi mano están la riqueza y la gloria, los bienes duraderos y la justicia.
With me ben rychessis, and glorie; souereyn richessis, and riytfulnesse.
19 Mi fruto es mejor que el oro más puro, y mis productos son mejores que la plata escogida.
My fruyt is betere than gold, and precyouse stoon; and my seedis ben betere than chosun siluer.
20 Yo voy por las sendas de la justicia por medio del recto camino,
Y go in the weies of riytfulnesse, in the myddis of pathis of doom;
21 para dar bienes a mis amigos, y henchir sus tesoros.
that Y make riche hem that louen me, and that Y fille her tresouris.
22 El Señor me poseyó al principio de sus caminos, antes de sus obras más antiguas.
The Lord weldide me in the bigynnyng of hise weies; bifore that he made ony thing, at the bigynnyng.
23 Desde la eternidad fui constituida, desde los orígenes, antes que existiera la tierra.
Fro with out bigynnyng Y was ordeined; and fro elde tymes, bifor that the erthe was maad.
24 Antes que los abismos fui engendrada yo; no había aún fuentes ricas en aguas.
Depthis of watris weren not yit; and Y was conseyued thanne. The wellis of watris hadden not brokun out yit,
25 Antes que fuesen asentados los montes; antes que los collados fui yo dada a luz,
and hillis stoden not togidere yit bi sad heuynesse; bifor litil hillis Y was born.
26 cuando aún no había creado Él la tierra ni los campos, ni el primer polvo del orbe.
Yit he hadde not maad erthe; and floodis, and the herris of the world.
27 Cuando estableció los cielos, allí estaba yo; cuando trazó el horizonte sobre la faz del abismo;
Whanne he made redi heuenes, Y was present; whanne he cumpasside the depthis of watris bi certeyn lawe and cumpas.
28 cuando fijó las nubes en lo alto, y dio fuerza a las aguas de la profundidad;
Whanne he made stidfast the eir aboue; and weiede the wellis of watris.
29 cuando señaló sus límites al mar, para que las aguas no traspasasen sus orillas; cuando puso los cimientos de la tierra,
Whanne he cumpasside to the see his marke; and settide lawe to watris, that tho schulden not passe her coostis. Whanne he peiside the foundementis of erthe;
30 entonces estaba yo con Él, como arquitecto, deleitándome todos los días y me regocijaba delante de Él continuamente.
Y was making alle thingis with him. And Y delitide bi alle daies, and pleiede bifore hym in al tyme,
31 Me holgaba en el orbe de la tierra, teniendo mi delicia en los hijos de los hombres.
and Y pleiede in the world; and my delices ben to be with the sones of men.
32 Y ahora, hijos, oídme: Dichosos aquellos que siguen mis caminos.
Now therfor, sones, here ye me; blessid ben thei that kepen my weies.
33 Escuchad la instrucción, y sed sabios; y no la rechacéis.
Here ye teching, and be ye wise men; and nile ye caste it awei.
34 Bienaventurado el hombre que me oye, y vela a mis puertas día tras día, aguardando en el umbral de mi entrada.
Blessid is the man that herith me, and that wakith at my yatis al dai; and kepith at the postis of my dore.
35 Porque quien me halla a mí, ha hallado la vida, y alcanza el favor de Yahvé.
He that fyndith me, schal fynde lijf; and schal drawe helthe of the Lord.
36 El que a mí me ofende daña a su propia alma; todos los que me odian, aman la muerte.
But he that synneth ayens me, schal hurte his soule; alle that haten me, louen deeth.
