Números 4
1 Habló Yahvé a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2 “Haced el censo de los hijos de Caat, de entre los hijos de Leví, según sus familias y casas paternas,
“Take a census of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,
3 de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all who enter into the service to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.
4 He aquí el oficio de los hijos de Caat relativo al Tabernáculo de la Reunión, el Santo de los Santos:
“This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting, regarding the most holy things.
5 Siempre que haya de levantarse el campamento, entrará Aarón con sus hijos, para bajar la cortina del velo y cubrir con ella el Arca del Testimonio.
When the camp moves forward, Aaron shall go in with his sons; and they shall take down the veil of the screen, cover the ark of the Testimony with it,
6 Pondrán encima una cubierta de pieles de tejón, sobre la cual extenderán un paño todo de jacinto, y colocarán las varas.
put a covering of sealskin on it, spread a blue cloth over it, and put in its poles.
7 También sobre la mesa de la proposición extenderán un paño de jacinto, sobre el cual pondrán los platos, las cucharas, las tazas y las copas para las libaciones, quedando encima el pan perpetuo.
“On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the cups with which to pour out; and the continual bread shall be on it.
8 Sobre ellos tenderán un paño carmesí, cubriéndolo con una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y colocarán las varas.
They shall spread on them a scarlet cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.
9 Luego tomarán una tela de jacinto con que cubrirán el candelabro del alumbrado, con sus lámparas, sus despabiladeras, sus platillos, y todos sus vasos para el aceite, todo lo necesario para su servicio.
“They shall take a blue cloth and cover the lamp stand of the light, its lamps, its snuffers, its snuff dishes, and all its oil vessels, with which they minister to it.
10 Lo envolverán, con todos sus utensilios, en una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y lo pondrán sobre las angarillas.
They shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it on the frame.
11 También sobre el altar de oro tenderán un paño de jacinto, que cubrirán con una cubierta de pieles de tejón; y colocarán las varas.
“On the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles.
12 Luego tomarán todos los utensilios que se usan para el servicio del Santuario, los envolverán en un paño de jacinto, cubriéndolos con una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y los pondrán sobre las angarillas.
“They shall take all the vessels of ministry with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame.
13 Después quitarán las cenizas del altar, sobre el cual extenderán un paño de púrpura;
“They shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it.
14 pondrán encima todos los utensilios necesarios para su servicio: los braseros, los tenedores, las paletas, los tazones, todos los utensilios del altar, extenderán sobre él una cubierta de pieles de tejón y colocarán sus varas.
They shall put on it all its vessels with which they minister about it, the fire pans, the meat hooks, the shovels, and the basins—all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles.
15 Cuando Aarón y sus hijos hayan acabado de cubrir el Santuario y todos los enseres del Santuario y se levante el campamento, se llegarán los hijos de Caat para alzarlos; mas no tocarán el Santuario, no sea que mueran. Esto es lo que toca a los hijos de Caat (en el transporte) del Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
“When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. The sons of Kohath shall carry these things belonging to the Tent of Meeting.
16 Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, tendrá a su cargo el aceite del alumbrado, el incienso aromático, la oblación perpetua, el óleo de la unción, el cuidado de toda la Morada y de todo lo perteneciente a ella, de (todo) el Santuario con sus utensilios.”
“The duty of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the continual meal offering, and the anointing oil, the requirements of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, the sanctuary, and its furnishings.”
17 Yahvé habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
18 “No permitáis que el linaje de las familias de los caatitas sea extirpado de en medio de los levitas.
“Don’t cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;
19 Para que vivan y no mueran, cuando se lleguen a las cosas santísimas, haced con ellos de esta manera: Aarón y sus hijos vendrán y señalarán a cada uno su servicio y lo que ha de transportar.
but do this to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint everyone to his service and to his burden;
20 Pero ellos no deben entrar, ni aun por un solo instante, para ver las cosas santas, no sea que mueran.”
but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.”
21 Yahvé habló a Moisés, diciendo:
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
22 “Haz también el censo de los hijos de Gersón, según sus casas paternas y sus familias.
“Take a census of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses, by their families;
23 Desde treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta los contarás a todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
you shall count them from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old: all who enter in to wait on the service, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting.
24 He aquí el cargo de las familias de los gersonitas, tanto en el servicio como en el transporte.
“This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:
25 Llevarán las cortinas de la Morada y el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, su cubierta, la cubierta de pieles de tejón que está encima de aquella, el velo que se halla en la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión,
they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, the covering of sealskin that is on it, the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting,
26 las cortinas del atrio y la cortina de la puerta de la entrada del atrio que rodea la Morada y el altar, con sus cuerdas y todos los utensilios de su servicio; harán todo lo referente a su servicio.
the hangings of the court, the screen for the door of the gate of the court which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done with them. They shall serve in there.
27 Todo el servicio de los gersonitas, en todo lo que han de transportar o de ejecutar, estará a las órdenes de Aarón y de sus hijos. Vosotros les señalaréis lo que es de su obligación, todo lo que han de transportar.
At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden and in all their service; and you shall appoint their duty to them in all their responsibilities.
28 Este es el servicio de las familias de los gersonitas, relativo al Tabernáculo de la Reunión; el servicio de ellos estará bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón.
This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting. Their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29 Haz también el censo de los hijos de Merarí según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
“As for the sons of Merari, you shall count them by their families, by their fathers’ houses;
30 contándolos desde los treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, a todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
you shall count them from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who enters on the service, to do the work of the Tent of Meeting.
31 He aquí los objetos del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, que tienen que llevar en todo su servicio: los tablones de la Morada, sus travesaños, sus columnas y sus basas,
This is the duty of their burden, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting: the tabernacle’s boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets,
32 las columnas que rodean el atrio, sus basas, estacas y cuerdas, todos sus utensilios, y todo lo perteneciente a su servicio. Les señalaréis por nombre los objetos que tienen que transportar.
the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service. You shall appoint the instruments of the duty of their burden to them by name.
33 Este es el oficio de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, conforme a todo su servicio en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote.”
This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.”
34 Moisés y Aarón y los príncipes de la Congregación contaron a los caatitas, según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation counted the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,
35 de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, a todos los que habían de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting.
36 Y fueron los empadronados, según sus familias, dos mil setecientos cincuenta.
Those who were counted of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred fifty.
37 Estos fueron los empadronados de las familias de los caatitas, todos aquellos que servían en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, a quienes contaron Moisés y Aarón, conforme a la orden que Yahvé había dado por boca de Moisés.
These are those who were counted of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.
38 Los empadronados de los hijos de Gersón, contados según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
Those who were counted of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,
39 de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que habían de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión;
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting,
40 esos, empadronados según sus familias y sus casas paternas, fueron dos mil seiscientos treinta.
even those who were counted of them, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, were two thousand six hundred thirty.
41 Estos son los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Gersón, todos aquellos que servían en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, a quienes Moisés y Aarón contaron por orden de Yahvé.
These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Gershon, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh.
42 Los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
Those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,
43 de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que habían de prestar algún servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión;
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old—everyone who entered into the service for work in the Tent of Meeting,
44 esos empadronados según sus familias, fueron tres mil doscientos.
even those who were counted of them by their families, were three thousand two hundred.
45 Estos son los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, a quienes Moisés y Aarón contaron por orden de Yahvé dada a Moisés.
These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.
46 El total de los levitas contados por Moisés y Aarón y los príncipes de Israel, según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
All those who were counted of the Levites whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel counted, by their families and by their fathers’ houses,
47 de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos aquellos que tenían una función en el servicio y en el transporte del Tabernáculo de la Reunión,
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered in to do the work of service and the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting,
48 su número fue de ocho mil quinientos ochenta.
even those who were counted of them, were eight thousand five hundred eighty.
49 Conforme a la orden de Yahvé dada a Moisés, este asignó a cada uno su ministerio y lo que había de transportar. Y los designados fueron aquellos que Yahvé había señalado a Moisés.
According to the commandment of Yahweh they were counted by Moses, everyone according to his service and according to his burden. Thus they were counted by him, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
