Aionian Verses
Todos sus hijos y todas sus hijas vinieron a consolarle; mas él no quiso ser consolado, sino que dijo: “Por tristeza bajaré adonde está mi hijo, al scheol.” Así lo lloró su padre. (Sheol h7585)
and all his sons and all his daughters rise to comfort him, and he refuses to comfort himself, and says, “For I go down to my son mourning, to Sheol,” and his father weeps for him. (Sheol h7585)
Mas él respondió: “No bajará mi hijo con vosotros, pues su hermano murió, y él es el único que me ha quedado. Si le sucediera alguna desgracia en el camino por donde vais, tendrías la culpa de que mis canas desciendan de puro dolor al sepulcro.” (Sheol h7585)
and he says, “My son does not go down with you, for his brother [is] dead, and he by himself is left; when harm has met him in the way in which you go, then you have brought down my grey hairs in sorrow to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
Si lleváis también a este de mi presencia, y le sucede alguna desgracia, haréis descender con dolor mis canas al sepulcro’. (Sheol h7585)
when you have taken also this from my presence, and harm has met him, then you have brought down my grey hairs with evil to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
sucederá que al ver que el joven no existe, morirá; y así tus siervos harán descender con dolor al sepulcro las canas de tu siervo, nuestro padre. (Sheol h7585)
then it has come to pass, when he sees that the youth is not, that he has died, and your servants have brought down the grey hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to Sheol; (Sheol h7585)
Pero si Yahvé hace algo inaudito, de modo que la tierra abriendo su boca se los trague con todo cuanto es suyo y bajen vivos al scheol, conoceréis que estos hombres han despreciado a Yahvé.” (Sheol h7585)
but if YHWH does a strange thing, and the ground has opened her mouth and swallowed them and all that they have, and they have gone down alive to Sheol, then you have known that these men have despised YHWH.” (Sheol h7585)
Descendieron vivos al scheol con todo lo que tenían, y los cubrió la tierra. Así perecieron de en medio del pueblo. (Sheol h7585)
and they go down—they and all that they have—alive to Sheol, and the earth closes over them, and they perish from the midst of the assembly; (Sheol h7585)
Se ha encendido el fuego de mi ira, que arderá hasta lo más hondo del infierno, devorando la tierra con sus productos, y abrasando los cimientos de los montes. (Sheol h7585)
For a fire has been kindled in My anger, And it burns to the lowest [part] of Sheol, And consumes earth and its increase, And sets on fire [the] foundations of mountains. (Sheol h7585)

YHWH puts to death, and keeps alive, He brings down to Sheol, and brings up. (Sheol h7585)

The cords of Sheol have surrounded me, The snares of death have been before me. (Sheol h7585)
Harás conforme a tu sabiduría, y no permitas que desciendan sus canas en paz al scheol. (Sheol h7585)
and you have done according to your wisdom, and do not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

and now, do not acquit him, for you [are] a wise man, and you have known that which you do to him, and have brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)

A cloud has been consumed, and it goes, So he who is going down to Sheol does not come up. (Sheol h7585)
Es más alta que el cielo, ¿qué podrás hacer? más honda que el scheol, ¿cómo podrás conocerlo? (Sheol h7585)
Heights of the heavens—what [can] you do? Deeper than Sheol—what [can] you know? (Sheol h7585)
¡Ojalá me escondieras en el scheol, para ocultarme hasta que pase tu ira; y me fijases un plazo para acordarte de mí! (Sheol h7585)
O that You would conceal me in Sheol, Hide me until the turning of Your anger, Set a limit for me, and remember me. (Sheol h7585)

Drought—also heat—consume snow-waters, Sheol—[those who] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)

Sheol [is] naked before Him, And there is no covering to destruction. (Sheol h7585)

For in death there is no memorial of You, In Sheol, who gives thanks to You? (Sheol h7585)

Oh Yahvé, no tenga yo que avergonzarme por haberte invocado; avergonzados queden los impíos y reducidos al silencio del abismo. (Sheol h7585)
O YHWH, do not let me be ashamed, For I have called You, let the wicked be ashamed, Let them become silent to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Como ovejas son echados al sepulcro; su pastor es la muerte, y a la mañana los justos dominarán sobre ellos. Pronto su figura se volverá un desecho, y el sepulcro será su casa. (Sheol h7585)
They have set themselves as sheep for Sheol, Death afflicts them, And the upright rule over them in the morning, And their form [is] for consumption. Sheol [is] a dwelling for him. (Sheol h7585)

Who [is] the man that lives, and does not see death? He delivers his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

Cords of death have surrounded me, And straits of Sheol have found me, I find distress and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

If I ascend the heavens—You [are] there, And spread out a bed in Sheol, behold, You! (Sheol h7585)

Sheol and destruction [are] before YHWH, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
El sabio va hacia arriba siguiendo la senda de la vida, para apartarse del scheol que está abajo. (Sheol h7585)
A path of life [is] on high for the wise, To turn aside from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)

Sheol, and a restrained womb, Earth—it [is] not satisfied [with] water, And fire—it has not said, “Sufficiency,” (Sheol h7585)
Todo lo que pueda hacer tu mano ejecútalo con tus fuerzas, porque en el scheol a dónde vas no hay obra, ni plan, ni ciencia, ni sabiduría. (Sheol h7585)
All that your hand finds to do, with your power do, for there is no work, and plan, and knowledge, and wisdom in Sheol to where you are going. (Sheol h7585)
¡Ponme cual sello sobre tu corazón, cual marca sobre tu brazo! Porque es fuerte el amor como la muerte, e inflexibles los celos como el infierno. Sus flechas son flechas de fuego, llamas del mismo Yahvé. (Sheol h7585)
Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm, For strong as death is love, Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, Its burnings [are] burnings of fire, a flame of YAH! (Sheol h7585)
Por eso el scheol ensanchará sus fauces y abrirá sin medida su boca. Descenderá allí la gloria de (Jerusalén) y su multitud turbulenta que se regocija en ella. (Sheol h7585)
Therefore Sheol has enlarged herself, And has opened her mouth without limit. And its honor has gone down, and its multitude, And its noise, and its exulting one—into her. (Sheol h7585)
“Pide para ti una señal de parte de Yahvé tu Dios; en lo profundo del scheol, o arriba en lo alto.” (Sheol h7585)
“Ask for a sign from your God YHWH, Make the request deep, or make [it] high upwards.” (Sheol h7585)
El scheol se conmueve en sus profundidades, a causa de ti, para salir a tu encuentro, y por ti despierta él a las sombras de los gigantes, a todos los poderosos de la tierra; hace que se levanten de sus tronos todos los reyes de las naciones. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol beneath has been troubled at you, To meet your coming in, It is waking up Rephaim for you, All chief ones of earth, It has raised up from their thrones All kings of nations. (Sheol h7585)
Ha bajado al scheol tu gloria al son de tus arpas, tendrás por cama la podredumbre, y los gusanos por cubierta. (Sheol h7585)
Your excellence has been brought down to Sheol, The noise of your stringed instruments, The worm has been spread out under you, Indeed, the worm is covering you. (Sheol h7585)
Pero ahora has sido precipitado al scheol, a lo más profundo del pozo. (Sheol h7585)
Only—you are brought down to Sheol, To the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Vosotros decís: “Hemos hecho pacto con la muerte, y convenio con el scheol; cuando pase el azote, cual torrente, no llegará a nosotros; porque nos hemos refugiado en la mentira, y la falsedad es nuestro abrigo.” (Sheol h7585)
Because you have said: “We have made a covenant with death, And we have made a provision with Sheol, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Does not meet us, Though we have made a lie our refuge, And have been hidden in falsehood.” (Sheol h7585)
Vuestro pacto con la muerte será anulado, y vuestro convenio con el scheol no subsistirá más; cuando pase el azote, cual torrente, seréis aplastados por él. (Sheol h7585)
And your covenant with death has been annulled, And your provision with Sheol does not stand, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Then you have been to it for a treading-place. (Sheol h7585)
“Yo dije: A la mitad de mis días iré a las puertas del scheol, privado del resto de mis años. (Sheol h7585)
“I said in the cutting off of my days, I go to the gates of Sheol, I have numbered the remnant of my years. (Sheol h7585)
Pues no puede alabarte el scheol, ni celebrarte la muerte, ni esperan en tu fidelidad los que bajan a la fosa. (Sheol h7585)
For Sheol does not confess You, Death does not praise You, Those going down to the pit do not hope for Your truth. (Sheol h7585)
Llevaste ungüentos al rey, y multiplicaste tus unciones; enviaste lejos a tus legados, y descendiste hasta el scheol. (Sheol h7585)
And go joyfully to the king in ointment, And multiply your perfumes, And send your ambassadors far off, And humble yourself to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: El día en que bajó al scheol, ordené Yo un gran duelo; por él vestí de luto el abismo y detuve sus ríos; y se pararon las caudalosas aguas; por él enluté al Líbano, y se desmayaron todos los árboles del campo. (Sheol h7585)
Thus said Lord YHWH: I have caused mourning in the day of his going down to Sheol, I have covered the deep over him, and diminish its flowings, And many waters are restrained, And I make Lebanon black for him, And all trees of the field [have been] a covering for him. (Sheol h7585)
Con el estruendo de su caída hice temblar las naciones, cuando lo arrojé al scheol, con los que bajan a la fosa. Y se consolaron en lo profundo de la tierra todos los árboles del Edén, los más escogidos y hermosos del Líbano, todos los regados de agua. (Sheol h7585)
I have caused nations to shake at the sound of his fall, In My causing him to go down to Sheol, With those going down to the pit, And all trees of Eden are comforted in the lower earth, The choice and good of Lebanon—All drinking waters. (Sheol h7585)
Estos también bajaron con él al scheol, hacia los que perecieron al filo de la espada; los cuales habían sido su brazo y habían habitado bajo su sombra, en medio de las naciones. (Sheol h7585)
Those with him have also gone down to Sheol, To the pierced of the sword, And—his arm—they dwelt in his shade in the midst of nations. (Sheol h7585)
En medio del scheol le dirigirán la palabra los más poderosos de los potentados, así como a sus auxiliadores (diciendo): «Han descendido, yacen los incircuncisos, traspasados por la espada». (Sheol h7585)
The gods of the mighty speak to him out of the midst of Sheol, With his helpers—they have gone down, They have lain with the uncircumcised, The pierced of the sword. (Sheol h7585)
Y no yacen entre los héroes de los incircuncisos, que cayeron y descendieron al scheol con sus armas de guerra, la espada debajo de sus cabezas, y el escudo sobre sus huesos, por haber sido el terror de los fuertes en la tierra de los vivientes. (Sheol h7585)
And they do not lie with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty [is] in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
Yo los rescataré del poder del scheol, los redimiré de la muerte. ¿Dónde están tus plagas, oh muerte? ¿dónde tu destrucción, oh scheol? Mis ojos no ven arrepentimiento alguno. (Sheol h7585)
Will I ransom them from the hand of Sheol? Will I redeem them from death? Where [is] your plague, O death? Where your destruction, O Sheol? Comfort is hid from My eyes. (Sheol h7585)
Si penetrasen hasta el scheol, de allí los sacaría mi mano, y si subiesen hasta el cielo, de allí los haría descender. (Sheol h7585)
If they dig through into Sheol, From there My hand takes them, And if they go up [to] the heavens, From there I cause them to come down. (Sheol h7585)
“Clamé a Yahvé en mi angustia, y Él me oyó; desde el vientre del scheol pedí auxilio, y Tú has atendido a mi voz. (Sheol h7585)
And he says: “I called, because of my distress, to YHWH, And He answers me, From the belly of Sheol I have cried, You have heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
Así como el vino es engañoso, así tampoco permanece el hombre orgulloso; se ensancha como el infierno su apetito, y es insaciable como la muerte; junta consigo todas las naciones, y reúne bajo su dominio todos los pueblos. (Sheol h7585)
And also, because the wine [is] treacherous, A man is haughty, and does not remain at home, Who has enlarged his soul as Sheol, And is as death that is not satisfied, And gathers to itself all the nations, And assembles to itself all the peoples, (Sheol h7585)
Mas Yo os digo: “Todo aquel que se encoleriza contra su hermano, merece la condenación; quien dice a su hermano «racá» merece el sanhedrín; quien le dice «necio» merece la gehenna del fuego. (Geenna g1067)
but I say to you that everyone who is angry at his brother without cause will be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Stupid, will be in danger of the Sanhedrin, and whoever may say, Moron, will be in danger of the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna g1067)
Si, pues, tu ojo derecho te hace tropezar, arráncatelo y arrójalo lejos de ti; más te vale que se pierda uno de tus miembros y no que sea echado todo tu cuerpo en la gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
But if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast from you, for it is good to you that one of your members may perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Y si tu mano derecha te es ocasión de tropiezo, córtala y arrójala lejos de ti; más te vale que se pierda uno de tus miembros y no que sea echado todo tu cuerpo en la gehenna”. (Geenna g1067)
And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast from you, for it is good to you that one of your members may perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Y no temáis a los que matan el cuerpo, y que no pueden matar el alma; mas temed a aquel que puede perder alma y cuerpo en la gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
And do not be afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Y tú, Cafarnaúm, ¿acaso habrás de ser exaltada hasta el cielo? Hasta el abismo serás abatida. Porque si en Sodoma hubiesen sucedido las maravillas que han sido hechas en ti, aún estaría ella en pie el día de hoy. (Hadēs g86)
And you, Capernaum, which were exalted to Heaven, will be brought down to Hades, because if the mighty works that were done in you had been done in Sodom, it had remained to this day; (Hadēs g86)
Y si alguno habla contra el Hijo del hombre, esto le será perdonado; pero al que hablare contra el Espíritu Santo, no le será perdonado ni en este siglo ni en el venidero. (aiōn g165)
And whoever may speak a word against the Son of Man it will be forgiven to him, but whoever may speak against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is coming. (aiōn g165)
El sembrado entre los abrojos, este es el hombre que oye la palabra, pero la preocupación de este siglo y el engaño de las riquezas sofocan la palabra, y ella queda sin fruto. (aiōn g165)
And that sown toward the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, chokes the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)

and the enemy who sowed them is the Devil, and the harvest is [the] full end of the age, and the reapers are messengers. (aiōn g165)

As, then, the darnel is gathered up, and is burned with fire, so will it be in the full end of this age; (aiōn g165)

so will it be in the full end of the age, the messengers will come forth and separate the evil out of the midst of the righteous, (aiōn g165)

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Assembly, and [the] gates of Hades will not prevail against it; (Hadēs g86)
Si tu mano o tu pie te hace tropezar, córtalo y arrójalo lejos de ti. Más te vale entrar en la vida manco o cojo, que ser, con tus dos manos o tus dos pies, echado en el fuego eterno. (aiōnios g166)

Y todo el que dejare casas, o hermanos, o hermanas, o padre, o mujer, o hijos, o campos por causa de mi nombre, recibirá el céntuplo y heredará la vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
and everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My Name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
y viendo una higuera junto al camino, se acercó a ella, mas no halló en ella sino hojas. Entonces le dijo: “¡Nunca más nazca ya fruto de ti!” Y en seguida la higuera se secó. (aiōn g165)
and having seen a certain fig tree on the way, He came to it, and found nothing in it except leaves only, and He says to it, “No more fruit may be from you—throughout the age”; and instantly the fig tree withered. (aiōn g165)

Después, habiendo ido a sentarse en el Monte de los Olivos, se acercaron a Él sus discípulos en particular, y le dijeron: “Dinos cuándo sucederá esto, y cuál será la señal de tu advenimiento y de la consumación del siglo”. (aiōn g165)
And when He is sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came near to Him by Himself, saying, “Tell us, when will these be? And what [is] the sign of Your coming, and of the full end of the age?” (aiōn g165)
