San Mateo 11
1 Cuando Jesús hubo acabado de dar así instrucciones a sus doce apóstoles, partió de allí para enseñar y predicar en las ciudades de ellos.
And it came to pass when finished Jesus commanding the twelve disciples of Him, He departed from there to teach and to preach in the cities of them.
2 Y Juan, al oír en su prisión las obras de Cristo, le envió a preguntar por medio de sus discípulos:
And John having heard in the prison the works of the Christ, having sent (on account of *N(K)O*) of the disciples of him
3 “¿Eres Tú «El que viene», o debemos esperar a otro?”
said to Him; You yourself are the coming [One], or another are we to look for?
4 Jesús les respondió y dijo: “Id y anunciad a Juan lo que oís y veis:
And answering Jesus said to them; Having gone do relate to John what you hear and see:
5 Ciegos ven, cojos andan, leprosos son curados, sordos oyen, muertos resucitan, y pobres son evangelizados;
Blind receive sight, and lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and deaf hear, (and *no*) dead are raised, and poor are evangelised;
6 ¡y dichoso el que no se escandalizare de Mí!”
And blessed is he who (only *NK(o)*) unless shall fall away in Me myself.
7 Y cuando ellos se retiraron, Jesús se puso a decir a las multitudes a propósito de Juan: “¿Qué salisteis a ver al desierto? ¿Acaso una caña sacudida por el viento?
As these now were going away began Jesus to speak to the crowds concerning John: What went you out into the wilderness to see? A reed by [the] wind shaken?
8 Y si no, ¿qué fuisteis a ver? ¿Un hombre ataviado con vestidos lujosos? Pero los que llevan vestidos lujosos están en las casas de los reyes.
But what did you go out to see? A man in delicate (garments *k*) dressed? Behold those delicate [clothing] wearing in the houses (of kings *NK(o)*) are;
9 Entonces ¿qué salisteis a ver? ¿Un profeta? Sí, os digo, y más que profeta.
But what did you go out to see? a prophet? Yes I say to you; and [one] more excellent than a prophet.
10 Este es de quien está escrito: “He ahí que Yo envío a mi mensajero que te preceda, el cual preparará tu camino delante de ti”.
For this (for *ko*) is [he] concerning whom it has been written: Behold I myself send the messenger of Mine before [the] face of You who will prepare the way of You before You.’
11 En verdad, os digo, no se ha levantado entre los hijos de mujer, uno mayor que Juan el Bautista; pero el más pequeño en el reino de los cielos es más grande que él.
Amen I say to you; not has been raised among [those] born of women one greater than John the Baptist; Yet the least in the kingdom of the heavens greater than he is.
12 Desde los días de Juan el Bautista hasta ahora, el reino de los cielos padece fuerza, y los que usan la fuerza se apoderan de él.
From then the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of the heavens is taken by violence, and [the] violent claim it.
13 Todos los profetas, lo mismo que la Ley, han profetizado hasta Juan,
All for the prophets and the law until John prophesied.
14 y, si queréis creerlo, él mismo es Elías, el que debía venir.
And if you are willing to receive [it], he himself is Elijah who is being about to come.
15 ¡Quién tiene oídos oiga!”
The [one] having ears he should hear.
16 “¿Pero, con quien comparar la raza esta? Es semejante a muchachos que, sentados en las plazas, gritan a sus camaradas:
To what however will I compare generation this? Like it is (children *N(k)O*) sitting in (the *no*) markets (who *N(K)O*) (calling out *N(k)O*) (to others *N(K)O*) (of them *k*)
17 Os tocamos la flauta y no danzasteis, entonamos cantos fúnebres y no plañisteis.
(and *k*) saying: We piped for you and not you did dance, we sang a dirge (to you *k*) and not you did wail.
18 Porque; vino Juan, que ni comía ni bebía, y dicen: “Está endemoniado”.
Came for John neither eating nor drinking, and they say; A demon he has!
19 Vino el Hijo del Hombre, que come y bebe, y dicen: “Es un glotón y borracho, amigo de publicanos y de pecadores”. Mas la Sabiduría ha sido justificada por sus obras”.
Came the Son of Man eating and drinking, and they say; Behold a man a glutton and a drunkard, of tax collectors a friend and of sinners! But is justified wisdom by the (deeds *N(K)O*) of her.
20 Entonces se puso a maldecir a las ciudades donde había hecho el mayor número de sus milagros, porque no se habían arrepentido:
Then He began to denounce the cities in which had taken place the most miracles of Him because not they repented;
21 “¡Ay de ti Corazín! ¡Ay de ti Betsaida! porque si en Tiro y en Sidón se hubiesen hecho los prodigios que han sido hechos en vosotras, desde hace mucho tiempo se habrían arrepentido en saco y en ceniza.
Woe to you Chorazin! Woe to you Bethsaida! For if in Tyre and Sidon had taken place the miracles which having come to pass in you, long ago then would in sackcloth and ashes they have repented.
22 Por eso os digo, que el día del juicio será más soportable para Tiro y Sidón que para vosotras.
But I say to you; for Tyre and Sidon more tolerable will it be in [the] day of judgment than for you.
23 Y tú, Cafarnaúm, ¿acaso habrás de ser exaltada hasta el cielo? Hasta el abismo serás abatida. Porque si en Sodoma hubiesen sucedido las maravillas que han sido hechas en ti, aún estaría ella en pie el día de hoy. (Hadēs g86)
And you yourself Capernaum, (surely not *N(K)O*) to (*k*) heaven (will be exalted? *N(k)O*) to Hades (will go down! *N(k)O*) For if in Sodom (happened *N(k)O*) the miracles that were happening in you, (it remained *N(k)O*) then would until the day. (Hadēs g86)
24 Por eso te digo que el día del juicio será más soportable para la tierra de Sodoma que para ti”.
But I say to you that for [the] land of Sodom more tolerable will it be in day of judgment than for you.
25 Por aquel tiempo Jesús dio una respuesta, diciendo: “Yo te alabo, oh Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque encubres estas cosas a los sabios y a los prudentes, y las revelas a los pequeños.
At that [very] time answering Jesus said; I fully consent to You, Father Lord of the heaven and the earth, for (You did hide *N(k)O*) these things from wise and learned and did reveal them to little children.
26 Así es, oh Padre, porque esto es lo que te agrada a Ti.
Yes O Father, for thus well-pleasing it was before You.
27 A Mí me ha sido transmitido todo por mi Padre, y nadie conoce bien al Hijo sino el Padre, ni al Padre conoce bien nadie sino el Hijo y aquel a quien el Hijo quisiere revelar ( lo ).
All things to Me was delivered by the Father of Mine, And no [one] knows the Son only except the Father, nor the Father anyone does know only except the Son and to whom if shall choose the Son to reveal [Him].
28 Venid a Mí todos los agobiados y los cargados, y Yo os haré descansar.
Come to Me all you who [are] toiling and burdened, and I myself and I myself will give rest to you.
29 Tomad sobre vosotros el yugo mío, y dejaos instruir por Mí, porque manso soy y humilde en el corazón; y encontrareis reposo para vuestras vidas.
do take the yoke of Mine upon you and do learn from Me for gentle I am and humble in heart, and you will find rest for the souls of you.
30 Porque mi yugo es excelente; y mi carga es liviana”.
The for yoke of Mine [is] easy and the burden of Mine light is.
