Levítico 1

1 Llamó Yahvé a Moisés y le habló desde el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, diciendo:

And the Lord called unto Moses, and spoke unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

2 “Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Cuando alguno de vosotros quisiere presentar a Yahvé una ofrenda de animales, ofreceréis una res del ganado mayor o del ganado menor.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any one of you wish to bring an offering unto the Lord: of the cattle, either of the herds, or of the flocks, shall ye bring your offering.

3 Si su ofrenda es holocausto de ganado mayor, presentará un macho sin tacha. A la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión lo presentará para que sea grato delante de Yahvé.

If his offering be a burnt-sacrifice of the herds, then shall he offer a male without blemish: unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation shall he bring it, that it may be favorably received for him before the Lord.

4 Pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del holocausto, y será acepto para expiación suya.

And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt-offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

5 Luego degollará el becerro delante de Yahvé; y los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, ofrecerán la sangre, derramándola sobre todos los costados del altar que está a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión.

And he shall kill the young steer before the Lord: and the sons of Aaron the priests shall bring near the blood, and they shall sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

6 Después será desollado el holocausto y cortado en trozos,

And he shall flay the burnt-offering, and cut it into its pieces.

7 y los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, pondrán fuego en el altar y dispondrán la leña sobre el fuego.

And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire;

8 Luego los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, dispondrán los trozos, juntamente con la cabeza y el sebo, sobre la leña que hay sobre el fuego encima del altar;

And the sons of Aaron the priests shall lay in order the parts, the head, and the fat, upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar;

9 y después de lavar con agua las entrañas y las patas, el sacerdote lo quemará todo sobre el altar. Es holocausto, sacrificio de combustión, de olor grato a Yahvé.

But its inwards and its legs shall he wash in water; and the priest shall burn the whole on the altar, as a burnt-sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord.

10 Si su ofrenda es de ganado menor, tomada de las ovejas o de las cabras, ofrecerá como holocausto un macho sin tacha.

And if his offering be of the flocks, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt-sacrifice: then shall he offer a male without blemish as the same.

11 Lo degollará al lado septentrional del altar, delante de Yahvé; y los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, derramarán su sangre sobre todos los costados del altar.

And he shall kill it on the side of the altar, northward, before the Lord; and the sons of Aaron the priests shall sprinkle its blood upon the altar round about.

12 Lo cortarán en trozos, y junto con la cabeza y el sebo lo ordenará el sacerdote sobre la leña dispuesta sobre el fuego encima del altar;

And he shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat; and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar;

13 y luego de lavar con agua las entrañas y las patas, el sacerdote lo ofrecerá todo, y lo quemará sobre el altar. Es holocausto, sacrificio de combustión, de olor grato a Yahvé.

But the inwards and the legs shall he wash with water; and the priest shall bring near the whole, and burn it upon the altar; it is a burnt-sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord.

14 Cuando ofrezca a Yahvé un holocausto de aves, será su ofrenda de tórtolas o de palominos.

And if of fowls be the burnt-sacrifice for his offering to the Lord: then shall he bring his offering of turtle-doves, or of young pigeons.

15 El sacerdote la llevará al altar y después de retorcerle con las uñas la cabeza la quemará sobre el altar y se hará gotear su sangre sobre el borde del altar.

And the priest shall bring it near unto the altar, and pinch off its head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out on the wall of the altar.

16 Le quitará el buche con sus suciedades y lo tirará junto al altar, al lado oriental, en el lugar de las cenizas.

And he shall remove its crop with its feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, at the place of the ashes.

17 Después le quebrantará las alas, pero sin separarlas, y el sacerdote la quemará sobre el altar, encima de la leña dispuesta sobre el fuego. Es un holocausto, sacrificio de combustión, de olor grato a Yahvé.

And he shall cleave it by its wings, but shall not divide it asunder; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is on the fire: it is a burnt-sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the Lord.
