Levítico 9

1 El día octavo llamó Moisés a Aarón y sus hijos, y a los ancianos de Israel,

And it came to pass on the eighth day that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

2 y dijo a Aarón: “Tómate un becerro de la vacada para el sacrificio por el pecado y un carnero para holocausto, ambos sin tacha, para ofrecerlos ante Yahvé.

And he said unto Aaron, Take unto thyself a young calf for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and bring them near before the Lord.

3 Y hablarás a los hijos de Israel, diciendo: ‘Tomad un macho cabrío para el sacrificio por el pecado, y un becerro y un cordero, ambos primales y sin tacha, para el holocausto,

And unto the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, Take ye a he-goat for a sin-offering; and a calf and a sheep, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;

4 y un toro y un carnero para el sacrificio pacífico, que se inmolen ante Yahvé, y una oblación amasada con aceite; porque hoy se os mostrará Yahvé’.”

Also a bullock and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord, and a meat-offering mingled with oil; for this day the Lord will appear unto you.

5 Trajeron, pues, ante el Tabernáculo de la Reunión lo que Moisés había mandado, y se acercó todo el pueblo y se mantuvo en pie delante de Yahvé.

And they brought that which Moses had commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the Lord.

6 Dijo entonces Moisés: “He aquí lo que ha mandado Yahvé; hacedlo y se os aparecerá la gloria de Yahvé.”

And Moses said, This thing which the Lord hath commanded shall ye do: and then will the glory of the Lord appear unto you.

7 Después dijo Moisés a Aarón: “Acércate al altar y ofrece tu sacrificio por el pecado y tu holocausto, y haz la expiación por ti mismo y por el pueblo; ofrece también la oblación del pueblo y haz la expiación por ellos; como Yahvé lo ha prescrito.

And Moses said unto Aaron, Draw near unto the altar, and prepare thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people; and prepare the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the Lord hath commanded.

8 Se acercó, pues, Aarón al altar y degolló el becerro del sacrificio por su propio pecado.

And Aaron drew near unto the altar; and he slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself.

9 Los hijos de Aarón le presentaron la sangre; y él, mojando su dedo en la sangre roció con ella los cuernos del altar y derramó la sangre al pie del altar.

And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar; and the [remaining] blood he poured out at the bottom of the altar.

10 Luego quemó sobre el altar el sebo, los riñones y la telilla del hígado, del sacrificio por el pecado, como Yahvé había mandado a Moisés;

And the fat, and the kidneys, and the midriff from the liver of the sin-offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

11 pero la carne y la piel las quemó fuera del campamento.

And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

12 Después degolló el holocausto, y los hijos de Aarón le presentaron la sangre, la cual derramó todo en torno sobre el altar.

And he slew the burnt-offering; and the sons of Aaron presented unto him the blood, and he sprinkled it upon the altar round about.

13 Le presentaron igualmente el holocausto, trozo por trozo, juntamente con la cabeza, y lo quemó sobre el altar.

And the burnt-offering they presented unto him, in its proper pieces, together with the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

14 Y habiendo lavado las entrañas y las patas las quemó encima del holocausto sobre el altar.

And he washed the inwards and the legs; and he burnt them upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

15 Después ofreció la oblación del pueblo. Tomó el macho cabrío correspondiente al pueblo para el sacrificio por el pecado, lo inmoló y lo presentó por el pecado del mismo modo que el primero.

And he brought near the people's offering; and he took the goat of the sin-offering which belonged to the people, and slew it, and made atonement with its blood, as the first.

16 Ofreció así el holocausto, haciéndolo según, el rito.

And he brought near the burnt-offering, and offered it according to the prescribed manner.

17 Además presentó la oblación. Tomando un puñado de ella lo quemó en el altar, juntamente con el holocausto de la mañana.

And he brought near the meat-offering, and he filled his hand thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt-sacrifice of the morning.

18 Degolló asimismo el toro y el carnero como sacrificio pacífico por el pueblo. Los hijos de Aarón le entregaron la sangre, la cual él derramó sobre el altar, todo alrededor,

He slew also the bullock and the ram, the sacrifice of peace-offering which belonged to the people: and the sons of Aaron presented unto him the blood, and he sprinkled it upon the altar round about,

19 y las partes grasas del toro y del carnero con la cola, el sebo que cubre las entrañas, los riñones y la telilla del hígado.

Also the fat of the bullock, and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the midriff of the liver;

20 Las partes grasas las pusieron sobre los pechos (de las víctimas) y él las quemó sobre el altar.

And they put these pieces of fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar;

21 Mas los pechos y la pierna derecha los meció Aarón como ofrenda ante Yahvé, conforme Moisés había mandado.

And with the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron made a waving before the Lord; as Moses had commanded.

22 Entonces Aarón alzando las manos hacia el pueblo lo bendijo, y se retiró después de haber ofrecido el sacrificio por el pecado, el holocausto y la hostia pacífica.

And Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessed them; and came down after he had offered the sin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and peace-offerings.

23 Luego Moisés y Aarón entraron en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión y cuando salieron bendijeron al pueblo. Entonces la gloria de Yahvé se apareció a todo el pueblo.

And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came then out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the people.

24 Salió fuego de la presencia de Yahvé que consumió el holocausto puesto en el altar y las partes grasas. Todo el pueblo lo vio, y prorrumpiendo en gritos de júbilo cayeron sobre sus rostros.

And there came forth a fire from before the Lord, and consumed upon the altar the burnt-offering and the fat; and when all the people saw this, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
