Levítico 24
1 Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo:
The Lord told Moses,
2 “Manda a los hijos de Israel que te traigan aceite puro de olivas majadas para el candelabro para alimentar continuamente las lámparas.
“Order the Israelites to bring you pure, pressed olive oil for the lamps, so they will always stay lit.
3 Aarón las aderezará fuera del velo del Testimonio, en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, (para que ardan) de continuo ante Yahvé desde la tarde hasta la mañana. Es ley perpetua para vuestras generaciones.
From evening until morning Aaron is to constantly look after the lamps continually before the Lord, outside the veil of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting. This regulation is for all time and for all future generations.
4 El aderezará siempre las lámparas del candelabro (de oro) puro que está delante de Yahvé.
He is to constantly look after the lamps placed on the pure gold lampstand before the Lord.
5 Tomarás flor de harina, y cocerás de ella doce tortas. Dos décimas tomarás para cada torta.
Using the best flour bake twelve loaves, with two-tenths of an ephah of flour per loaf.
6 Las colocarás en dos pilas, seis en cada pila, sobre la mesa pura delante de Yahvé.
Place them in two piles, six in each pile, on the table made of pure gold that stands before the Lord.
7 Pondrás sobre cada pila incienso puro, que haga del pan un memorial que se ofrece a Yahvé mediante el fuego.
Place pure frankincense beside each pile to go with the bread to act as the ‘reminder part,’ a food offering to the Lord.
8 Cada sábado se aderezará delante de Yahvé continuamente el pan de parte de los hijos de Israel. Será una alianza perpetua.
Every Sabbath day the bread shall be placed before the Lord, given by the Israelites as an ongoing sign of the eternal agreement.
9 Pertenecerá a Aarón y a sus hijos, que lo comerán en lugar sagrado; porque es para él cosa santísima como las ofrendas hechas a Yahvé mediante el fuego. Es ley perpetua.”
It is for Aaron and his descendants. They are to eat it in a holy place; for they must treat it as a most holy part of the food offerings given to the Lord. It is their share of the food offerings for all time.”
10 Se metió entre los hijos de Israel el hijo de una mujer israelita, pero de padre egipcio; y riñeron en el campamento el hijo de la israelita y un hombre de Israel.
One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went into the Israelite camp and had a fight with an Israelite.
11 Y blasfemó el hijo de la israelita el nombre (de Dios) y le maldijo, por lo cual le condujeron a Moisés. El nombre de su madre era Selomit, hija de Dibrí, de la tribu de Dan.
The Israelite woman's son cursed the name of the Lord. So they took him before Moses. (His mother's name was Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, from the tribe of Dan.)
12 Le guardaron en prisión esperando el juicio por boca de Yahvé.
They detained him until it was clear what the Lord wanted them to do about it.
13 Y Yahvé habló a Moisés, y dijo:
The Lord told Moses,
14 “Saca al blasfemo fuera del campamento, y todos los que le oyeron pongan las manos sobre su cabeza, y apedréele todo el pueblo.
“Take the man who cursed me outside the camp. Have all who heard him curse put their hands on his head; then have everyone stone him to death.
15 Y dirás a los hijos de Israel estas palabras: “Cualquier hombre que maldijere a su Dios llevara sobre sí su pecado.
Tell the Israelites that anyone who curses their God will be punished for their sin.
16 Quien blasfemare el Nombre de Yahvé muera irremisiblemente; toda la Congregación le apedreará. El extranjero y el indígena cuando blasfemare el Nombre morirá.”
Anyone who curses the name of the Lord must to be executed. All of you must stone them to death, whether they are a foreigner who lives with you or an Israelite. If they curse my name, they must be executed.
17 Quien hiriere a otro mortalmente, muera irremisiblemente.
Anyone who kills someone else must be executed.
18 Quien hiriere mortalmente a una bestia restituirá otra por ella. Bestia por bestia.
Anyone who kills an animal has to replace it—a life for a life.
19 Si alguno causare una herida a otro, según hizo él, así se le hará;
If anyone injures someone else, whatever they've done must be done to them:
20 fractura por fractura, ojo por ojo, diente por diente; se le hará la misma lesión que él haya causado a otro.
a broken bone for a broken bone, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Whatever way they injured the victim, the same must be done to them.
21 Quien matare una bestia hará restitución por ella, mas quien matare a un hombre, morirá.
Anyone who kills an animal has to replace it, but anyone who kills someone else must be executed.
22 Una misma ley tendréis para el extranjero y para los de vuestro pueblo; porque Yo soy Yahvé, vuestro Dios.”
The same laws apply to foreigners who live with you as to Israelites, for I am the Lord your God.”
23 Habló entonces Moisés a los hijos de Israel, y sacaron al blasfemo fuera del campamento y le apedrearon. Así hicieron los hijos de Israel como Yahvé había mandado a Moisés.
Moses told this to the Israelites, and they took the man who cursed the Lord outside the camp and stoned him to death. The Israelites did what the Lord ordered Moses to do.
