Juan 2
1 Al tercer día hubo unas bodas en Caná de Galilea y estaba allí la madre de Jesús.
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
2 Jesús también fue invitado a estas bodas, como asimismo sus discípulos.
and Jesus also was bidden, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 Y llegando a faltar vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: “No tienen vino”.
And when the wine failed, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4 Jesús le dijo: “¿Qué ( nos va en esto ) a Mí y a ti, mujer? Mi hora no ha venido todavía”.
And Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5 Su madre dijo a los sirvientes: “Cualquier cosa que Él os diga, hacedla”.
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6 Había allí seis tinajas de piedra para las purificaciones de los judíos, que contenían cada una dos o tres metretas.
Now there were six waterpots of stone set there after the Jews’ manner of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 Jesús les dijo: “Llenad las tinajas de agua”; y las llenaron hasta arriba.
Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 Entonces les dijo: “Ahora sacad y llevad al maestresala”; y le llevaron.
And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the ruler of the feast. And they bare it.
9 Cuando el maestresala probó el agua convertida en vino, cuya procedencia ignoraba —aunque la conocían los sirvientes que habían sacado el agua—, llamó al novio
And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and knew not whence it was (but the servants which had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calleth the bridegroom,
10 y le dijo: “Todo el mundo sirve primero el buen vino, y después, cuando han bebido bien, el menos bueno; pero tú has conservado el buen vino hasta este momento”.
and saith unto him, Every man setteth on first the good wine; and when [men] have drunk freely, [then] that which is worse: thou hast kept the good wine until now.
11 Tal fue el comienzo que dio Jesús a sus milagros, en Caná de Galilea; y manifestó su gloria, y sus discípulos creyeron en Él.
This beginning of his signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
12 Después de esto descendió a Cafarnaúm con su madre, sus hermanos y sus discípulos, y se quedaron allí no muchos días.
After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and [his] brethren, and his disciples: and there they abode not many days.
13 La Pascua de los judíos estaba próxima, y Jesús subió a Jerusalén.
And the passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 En el Templo encontró a los mercaderes de bueyes, de ovejas y de palomas, y a los cambistas sentados ( a sus mesas ).
And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 Y haciendo un azote de cuerdas, arrojó del Templo a todos, con las ovejas y los bueyes; desparramó las monedas de los cambistas y volcó sus mesas.
and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables;
16 Y a los vendedores de palomas les dijo: “Quitad esto de aquí; no hagáis de la casa de mi Padre un mercado”.
and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise.
17 Y sus discípulos se acordaron de que está escrito: “El celo de tu Casa me devora”.
His disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house shall eat me up.
18 Entonces los judíos le dijeron: “¿Qué señal nos muestras, ya que haces estas cosas?”.
The Jews therefore answered and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19 Jesús les respondió: “Destruid este Templo, y en tres días Yo lo volveré a levantar”.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Replicáronle los judíos: “Se han empleado cuarenta y seis años en edificar este Templo, ¿y Tú, en tres días lo volverás a levantar?”
The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
21 Pero Él hablaba del Templo de su cuerpo.
But he spake of the temple of his body.
22 Y cuando hubo resucitado de entre los muertos, sus discípulos se acordaron de que había dicho esto, y creyeron a la Escritura y a la palabra que Jesús había dicho.
When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he spake this; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
23 Mientras Él estaba en Jerusalén, durante la fiesta de Pascua, muchos creyeron en su nombre, viendo los milagros que hacía.
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, during the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he did.
24 Pero Jesús no se fiaba de ellos, porque a todos los conocía,
But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for that he knew all men,
25 y no necesitaba de informes acerca del hombre, conociendo por sí mismo lo que hay en el hombre.
and because he needed not that any one should bear witness concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
