Isaías 46
1 Bel se dobla, Nebo se encorva; sus imágenes son puestas sobre bestias y jumentos; esos (ídolos) que solíais llevar, son para las bestias carga abrumadora.
Bel has bowed down, Nebo is stooping, Their idols have been for the beast and for livestock, Your burdens are loaded, a burden to the weary.
2 Se encorvan y se postran a una, no pueden salvar al que los lleva, porque ellos mismos son llevados cautivos.
They have stooped, they have bowed together, They have not been able to deliver the burden, And have gone into captivity themselves.
3 Escuchadme, casa de Jacob, y todo lo que queda de la casa de Israel; vosotros, los que llevo Yo desde el nacimiento, y que sois mi carga desde el seno materno.
“Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of Israel, Who are borne from the belly, Who are carried from the womb,
4 Hasta vuestra vejez soy Yo el mismo, y os soportaré hasta que encanezcáis. Ya lo hice, y seguiré llevándoos; cargaré con vosotros y os salvaré.
Even to old age, I [am] He, and to grey hairs I carry, I made, and I bear, indeed, I carry and deliver.
5 ¿A quién queréis compararme? ¿A quién igualarme? ¿Con quién parangonarme, para que seamos semejantes?
To whom do you liken Me, and make equal? And compare Me, that we may be like?
6 Sacan ellos del bolsillo el oro, y pesan la plata en la balanza; pagan a un platero, para que les haga un dios, ante el cual se postran y adoran.
They are pouring out gold from a bag, And they weigh silver on the beam, They hire a refiner, and he makes it a god, They fall down, indeed, they bow themselves.
7 Lo cargan sobre los hombros y lo llevan, lo colocan en su lugar y allí se queda, sin moverse de su sitio. Aun cuando le invocan no responde, ni los salva de la tribulación.
They lift him up on the shoulder, They carry him, and cause him to rest in his place, And he stands, he does not move from his place, Indeed, one cries to him, and he does not answer, He does not save him from his adversity.
8 Recordad esto, y sed hombres; tenedlo en cuenta, oh transgresores de la Ley.
Remember this, and show yourselves men, Turn [it] back, O transgressors, to the heart.
9 Acordaos de lo que pasó desde los tiempos antiguos; que Yo soy Dios, y no hay otro. Yo soy Dios, y no hay quien sea semejante a Mí.
Remember former things of old, For I [am] Mighty, and there is none else, God—and there is none like Me.
10 Yo anuncio desde el principio lo que ha de venir, y mucho tiempo antes lo que aún no se ha hecho. Yo digo: “Mi designio subsistirá, ejecutaré toda mi voluntad.”
Declaring the latter end from the beginning, And from of old that which has not been done, Saying, My counsel stands, And all My delight I do.
11 Yo llamo del Oriente un ave de rapiña, y de tierra remota a un varón que Yo he designado. Lo he dicho y lo cumpliré, lo he ideado, y lo voy a realizar.
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, The man of My counsel from a far land, Indeed, I have spoken, indeed, I bring it in, I have formed [it], indeed, I do it.
12 Escuchadme hombres de duro corazón, que estáis lejos de la justicia.
Listen to Me, you mighty in heart, Who are far from righteousness.
13 Yo hago venir mi justicia, que no está lejos, y mi salvación que no tardará. Yo pondré en Sión la salud, y mi gloria en Israel.
I have brought My righteousness near, It is not far off, And My salvation—it does not linger, And I have given salvation in Zion, For Israel My glory!”
