Oseas 5

1 ¡Oíd esto, oh sacerdotes! ¡Casa de Israel, escucha! ¡Prestad oídos vosotros, los de la casa real! porque vosotros seréis juzgados, por haber sido un lazo en Masfá y una red tendida sobre el Tabor.

Hear ye this, O ye priests, And hearken, O house of Israel, And give ear, O house of the king! For judgment is coming upon you, Because ye have been a snare at Mizpah, And an outspread net upon Tabor.

2 Por sus sacrificios llevaron la apostasía hasta el extremo; por tanto los castigaré a todos ellos.

By their sacrifices they commit deep transgression, And I will bring chastisement upon them all.

3 Conozco a Efraím, e Israel no se me oculta, puesto que tú, oh Efraím, has fornicado, e Israel se ha contaminado.

I know Ephraim, And Israel is not hidden from me; For thou committest fornication, O Ephraim, And Israel is defiled.

4 Sus malas obras no lo dejan volver a su Dios; pues el espíritu de fornicación vive en su corazón, de modo que no conocen a Yahvé.

They will not frame their doings To return to their God; For a spirit of fornication is within them, And they have no regard to Jehovah.

5 La soberbia de Israel se muestra en su cara; Israel y Efraím caerán por su propia iniquidad; y Judá caerá juntamente con ellos.

The pride of Israel testifieth to his face; Therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.

6 Con sus rebaños y con sus vacadas irán en busca de Yahvé, y no lo hallarán, porque Él se ha retirado de ellos.

With their flocks and with their herds shall they go to seek Jehovah, And shall not find him; He hath withdrawn himself from them.

7 Han sido infieles a Yahvé, engendrándole hijos bastardos; por lo cual la nueva luna los consumirá con sus bienes.

They have been false to Jehovah, For they have begotten strange children; Now shall the new moon consume them with their possessions.

8 ¡Tocad la bocina en Gabaá, y la trompeta en Ramá! ¡Alzad el grito en Betaven! ¡Cuidado, Benjamín!

Blow ye the trumpet in Gibeah, And the cornet in Ramah; Cry aloud at Bethaven! Look behind thee, O Benjamin!

9 Efraím será una desolación en el día del castigo; lo que he anunciado a las tribus de Israel, se cumplirá.

Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke; Among the tribes of Israel do I make known what is sure.

10 Los príncipes de Judá se han hecho como los que mudan los linderos; por lo cual derramaré sobre ellos como agua mi ira.

The princes of Judah are like them that remove the land mark; I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

11 Efraím está oprimido, quebrantado por el castigo, porque quiso andar tras el mandato.

Ephraim is oppressed; he is crushed with punishment, Because he willingly walked after the decree.

12 Yo seré como polilla para Efraím, y como carcoma para la casa de Judá.

I am as a moth to Ephraim, And as rottenness to the house of Judah.

13 Cuando Efraím vio su falta de fuerzas y Judá su llaga, recurrió Efraím a Asiria, y llamó a un rey vengador; mas este no podrá sanaros, ni curaros la llaga.

When Ephraim saw his sickness, And Judah his wound, Then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, And Judah sent to the hostile king; But he will not be able to heal you, Nor will he cure you of your wound.

14 Porque Yo seré cual león para Efraím, y como leoncillo para la casa de Judá. Yo, yo tomaré la presa, y me iré; me la llevaré, y nadie me la arrancará.

For I will be as a lion to Ephraim, And as a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear, and will depart; I will take away, and none shall rescue.

15 Me iré, y me retiraré a mi lugar hasta que ellos reconozcan su culpa y busquen mi rostro.

I will go back to my place, Till they have suffered for their sin, and seek my face! In their affliction they will seek me early.
