1 Este es el libro de los descendientes de Adán. El día en que Dios creó a Adán, lo hizo a imagen de Dios.
This is the record of Adam's descendants. When God created human beings, he made them to be like him.
2 Los creó varón y mujer y los bendijo: y los llamó “hombre” en el día de su creación.
He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day he created them he called them “human.”
3 Tenía Adán ciento treinta años cuando engendró un hijo a su semejanza, según su imagen, al cual puso por nombre Set.
When Adam was 130, he had a son who was like him, made in his image; and he named him Seth.
4 Fueron los días de Adán, después de engendrar a Set, ochocientos años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
Adam lived another 800 years after Seth was born, and had other sons and daughters.
5 Y fueron todos los días que vivió Adán novecientos treinta años, y murió.
Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.
6 Set tenía ciento cinco años cuando engendró a Enós.
When Seth was 105, he had Enosh.
7 Y vivió Set, después de engendrar a Enós, ochocientos siete años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
Seth lived another 807 years after Enosh was born, and had other sons and daughters.
8 Y fueron todos los días de Set novecientos doce años, y murió.

18 Yared tenía ciento sesenta y dos años cuando engendró a Enoc.
When Jared was 162, he had Enoch.
19 Vivió Yared, después de engendrar a Enoc, ochocientos años y engendró hijos e hijas.
After Enoch was born, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.
20 Y fueron todos los días de Yared novecientos sesenta y dos años, y murió.
Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 Enoc tenía sesenta y cinco años cuando engendró a Matusalén.
When Enoch was 65, he had Methuselah.
22 Anduvo Enoc con Dios, (viviendo) después de engendrar a Matusalén, trescientos años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
He had a close relationship with God. After Methuselah was born, Enoch lived another 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
23 Y fueron todos los días de Enoc trescientos sesenta y cinco años.
Enoch lived a total of 365 years.
24 Enoc anduvo con Dios, y desapareció porque Dios se lo llevó.
Enoch had such a close relationship with God that he didn't die, he just wasn't there anymore, because God took him.
25 Matusalén tenía ciento ochenta y siete años cuando engendró a Lamec.
When Methuselah was 187, he had Lamech.
26 Vivió Matusalén, después de engendrar a Lamec, setecientos ochenta y dos años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
After Lamech was born, Methuselah lived another 782 years and had other sons and daughters.
27 Y fueron todos los días de Matusalén novecientos sesenta y nueve años, y murió.
Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 Lamec tenía ciento ochenta y dos años, cuando engendró un hijo,
When Lamech was 182, he had a son.
29 al cual puso por nombre Noé, diciendo: Este nos consolará de nuestras fatigas y del trabajo de nuestras manos, causado por la tierra que maldijo Yahvé.
He named him Noah, with the explanation, “He will provide relief for us from all the hard manual labor we need to do in cultivating the ground the Lord has cursed.”
30 Vivió Lamec, después de engendrar a Noé, quinientos noventa y cinco años, y engendró hijos e hijas.
After Noah was born, Lamech lived another 595 years and had other sons and daughters.
31 Y fueron todos los días de Lamec setecientos setenta y siete años, y murió. Noé tenía quinientos años, cuando engendró a Sem, Cam y Jafet.
Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
Noah was 500 before he had Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
