Ezequiel 13

1 Y me llegó la palabra de Yahvé, que dijo:

And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:

2 “Hijo de hombre, vaticina contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan; y di a los profetas que siguen su propio corazón: Oíd la palabra de Yahvé.

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say to them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of Jehovah!

3 Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: ¡Ay de los profetas insensatos, que andan tras su propio espíritu, sin haber visto nada!

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

4 Como zorras del desierto, así son tus profetas, oh Israel.

Thy prophets, O Israel, are like the foxes in the deserts.

5 No habéis subido a las brechas, ni habéis amurallado la casa de Israel para que se mantenga firme en el combate el día de Yahvé.

Ye have not gone up into the breaches, nor built a wall around the house of Israel, to stand in battle in the day of Jehovah.

6 Han visto vanidad y (pronunciado) oráculos mentirosos, diciendo: «Habla Yahvé», sin que Yahvé los haya enviado. ¡Y con todo esperan el cumplimiento de su palabra!

They see falsehood, and lying divination. They say, “Jehovah hath spoken,” when Jehovah hath not sent them; and they cause men to hope for the fulfilment of the word.

7 ¿No habéis visto acaso visiones falsas? ¿No pronunciáis oráculos mentirosos cuando decís: «Dice Yahvé» siendo así que Yo nada he hablado?”

Have ye not seen a false vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, and said, “Jehovah hath spoken,” when I have not spoken?

8 Por eso así dice Yahvé, el Señor: “Por cuanto habéis hablado vanidad y habéis visto mentira, por tanto he aquí que vengo a vosotros, dice Yahvé, el Señor.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken falsehood and have seen a lie, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Jehovah.

9 Y extenderé mi mano contra los profetas que tienen visiones vanas y vaticinan mentira. No formarán parte de la asamblea de mi pueblo, ni serán inscritos en el registro de la casa de Israel, ni volverán a la tierra de Israel; y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé, el Señor.

My hand shall be against the prophets that see falsehood and divine lies. They shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

10 ¡Cómo han extraviado a mi pueblo, diciendo: «Paz», y no había paz! Cuando (el pueblo) edifica una muralla, ellos la revocan con barro.

Because, yea, because they seduce my people, and say, “Peace!” when there is no peace; and one buildeth up a wall, and, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar;

11 Di a los que revocan con barro, que ella caerá. Vendrán inundaciones de agua, y arrojaré piedras de hielo que caerán (del cielo) y un huracán la derribará.

say to them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall; there shall be an overflowing shower, and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall, and a stormy wind shall rend it.

12 Y caída la muralla, ¿acaso no se os dirá: «¿Dónde está el barro con que la revocasteis?»

So when the wall is fallen, shall not men say to you, “Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?”

13 Por eso, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: En mi furor desencadenaré un huracán, y a causa de mi cólera vendrán aguas inundadoras, y a causa de mi ira piedras de hielo para arrasarla.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury, and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

14 Y destruiré la muralla que habéis revocado con barro y la igualaré al suelo; se descubrirán sus cimientos y caerá, y vosotros pereceréis en medio de ella; y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé.

Thus I will break down the wall which ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and will bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered; it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof, that ye may know that I am Jehovah.

15 Así desfogaré mi ira en la muralla y en los que la revocaron con barro, y os diré: Ya no hay muralla ni los que la revocaron.

Thus will I accomplish my fury upon the wall, and upon them that daubed it with untempered mortar; and I will say to you, The wall is no more, nor they that daubed it;

16 Ya no hay profetas de Israel que profetizan a Jerusalén, y ven a favor de ella visiones de paz cuando no hay paz, dice Yahvé, el Señor.

even the prophets of Israel, who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and see visions of peace for her when there is no peace, saith the Lord Jehovah.

17 Y tú, oh hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra las hijas de tu pueblo, que profetizan a su capricho, y vaticina contra ellas.

Likewise, son of man, set thou thy face against the daughters of thy people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them.

18 Dirás: Así habla Yahvé, el Señor: ¡Ay de las que cosen almohadillas para todas las articulaciones de los brazos y hacen cabezales de todo tamaño para las cabezas, a fin de cazar almas! ¿Creéis acaso que cazando las almas de mi pueblo podréis salvar las vuestras?

And say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the women that sew cushions for all elbows, and make pillows for heads of every stature, to ensnare men to destruction! Will ye hunt the lives of my people, and shall ye save your own?

19 Vosotras me profanáis delante de mi pueblo por un puñado de cebada y un bocado de pan, haciendo morir las almas que no deben morir, y salvando las almas que no deben vivir, mintiendo a mi pueblo que escucha la mentira.

And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley, and for pieces of bread, slaying them that should not die, and saving them alive that should not live, by lying to my people, who hearken to your lies?

20 Por eso, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que Yo odio vuestras almohadillas con las que cazáis las almas, como (se cazan) las aves; Yo las arrancaré de vuestros brazos, y dejaré volar las almas que estáis cazando.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will set myself against the cushions with which ye ensnare men to destruction, so that they shall escape you; and I will tear them from your arms, and make them free whom ye would ensnare, so that they shall escape you.

21 Rasgaré vuestros cabezales, y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestro poder, para que no sean más presa de vuestras manos. Y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé.

Your pillows also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall no more be in your hand to be ensnared, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

22 Pues con mentiras habéis afligido el corazón del justo, a quien Yo no quería afligir, y habéis fortalecido los brazos del impío, para que no se convierta de su mal camino y viva.

Because with lies ye have made sad the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad, and have strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life;

23 Por eso no tendréis ya visiones vanas ni pronunciaréis oráculos; Yo libraré a mi pueblo de vuestra mano, y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé.

therefore shall ye no more see falsehood, nor divine divinations; but I will deliver my people out of your hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
