Ester 10

1 El rey Asuero impuso un tributo a la tierra y a las islas del mar.

King Achashyerosh laid a tribute on the land, and on the islands of the sea.

2 Y todos los actos de su poder, y sus hazañas, y los detalles de la grandeza a la cual el rey elevó a Mardoqueo, ¿no están escritos en el libro de los anales de los reyes de Media y Persia?

All the acts of his power and of his might, and the full account of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

3 Porque el judío Mardoqueo era segundo después del rey Asuero, el más eminente entre los judíos, y amado de todos sus hermanos, porque procuraba el bien de su pueblo e intercedía por la prosperidad de su nación.

For Mordecai the Jew was next to King Achashyerosh, and great among the Jews, and accepted by the multitude of his brothers, seeking the good of his people, and speaking peace to all his descendants.
