2 Crónicas 24
1 Siete años tenía Joás cuando empezó a reinar, y reinó cuarenta años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Sibiá, de Bersabee.

2 Hizo Joás lo que era recto a los ojos de Yahvé durante toda la vida del sacerdote Joiadá.

3 Joiadá tomó dos mujeres para Joás, y este engendró hijos e hijas.
and to lift: marry to/for him Jehoiada woman: wife two and to beget son: child and daughter
4 Después de esto resolvió Joás restaurar la Casa de Yahvé.
and to be after so to be with heart Joash to/for to renew [obj] house: temple LORD
5 Por lo cual reunió a los sacerdotes y a los levitas y les dijo: “Recorred las ciudades de Judá, y juntad, cada año, en todo Israel dinero para reparar la Casa de vuestro Dios; y apuraos en este asunto.” Pero los levitas no se apuraron.
and to gather [obj] [the] priest and [the] Levi and to say to/for them to come out: come to/for city Judah and to gather from all Israel silver: money to/for to strengthen: strengthen [obj] house: temple God your from sufficiency year in/on/with year and you(m. p.) to hasten to/for word: thing and not to hasten [the] Levi
6 Llamó entonces el rey a Joiadá, sumo sacerdote, y le dijo: “¿Por qué no has tenido cuidado de que los levitas trajesen de Judá y de Jerusalén la contribución que Moisés, siervo de Yahvé, y la asamblea de Israel han prescrito para el Tabernáculo del Testimonio?”
and to call: call to [the] king to/for Jehoiada [the] head: leader and to say to/for him why? not to seek upon [the] Levi to/for to come (in): bring from Judah and from Jerusalem [obj] tribute Moses servant/slave LORD and [the] assembly to/for Israel to/for tent [the] testimony
7 Pues los partidarios de la impía Atalía habían arruinado la Casa de Dios empleando para los Baales todas las Cosas consagradas a la Casa de Yahvé.
for Athaliah [the] wickedness son: child her to break through [obj] house: temple [the] God and also all holiness house: temple LORD to make to/for Baal
8 Mandó, pues, el rey que se hiciera un arca; la cual fue colocada junto a la puerta de la Casa de Yahvé, por la parte de afuera;
and to say [the] king and to make ark one and to give: put him in/on/with gate house: temple LORD outside [to]
9 y se promulgó en Judá y en Jerusalén que trajesen a Yahvé la contribución que Moisés, siervo de Dios, había impuesto a Israel en el desierto.
and to give: make voice: message in/on/with Judah and in/on/with Jerusalem to/for to come (in): bring to/for LORD tribute Moses servant/slave [the] God upon Israel in/on/with wilderness
10 Todos los jefes y todo el pueblo se alegraron; y trajeron (su contribución) y la echaron en el arca hasta llenarla.
and to rejoice all [the] ruler and all [the] people and to come (in): bring and to throw to/for ark till to/for to end: finish
11 De tiempo en tiempo, cuando veían que había mucho dinero llevaban el arca a los intendentes del rey, por mano de los levitas; y venían el secretario del rey, y el encargado del sumo sacerdote, a vaciar el arca; luego la tomaban y la volvían a su lugar. Así lo hacían cada vez, y recogían dinero en abundancia.

12 El rey y Joiadá lo dieron a los que tenían a su cargo la ejecución de las obras de la Casa de Yahvé; y estos tomaron a sueldo canteros y carpinteros para restaurar la Casa de Yahvé; y también a los que trabajaban en hierro y bronce, para reparar la Casa de Yahvé.
and to give: give him [the] king and Jehoiada to(wards) to make: do work service: ministry house: temple LORD and to be to hire to hew and artificer to/for to renew house: temple LORD and also to/for artificer iron and bronze to/for to strengthen: strengthen [obj] house: temple LORD
13 Trabajaron, pues, los obreros, y por su mano se hizo la restauración del edificio; restituyeron la Casa de Dios a su (antiguo) estado y la consolidaron.
and to make: do to make: do [the] work and to ascend: rise health to/for work in/on/with hand their and to stand: stand [obj] house: temple [the] God upon tally his and to strengthen him
14 Acabado (todo), entregaron al rey y a Joiadá lo que quedaba del dinero, del cual hicieron objetos para la Casa de Yahvé, utensilios para el ministerio y para los sacrificios, copas y vasos de oro y plata. Durante toda la vida de Joiadá se ofrecieron siempre holocaustos en la Casa de Yahvé.
and like/as to end: finish they to come (in): bring to/for face: before [the] king and Jehoiada [obj] remnant [the] silver: money and to make him article/utensil to/for house: temple LORD article/utensil ministry and to ascend: offer up and palm: dish and article/utensil gold and silver: money and to be to ascend: offer up burnt offering in/on/with house: temple LORD continually all day Jehoiada
15 Envejeció Joiadá y murió, harto de días. Tenía ciento treinta años cuando murió.

16 Le sepultaron en la ciudad de David, con los reyes, por sus méritos por Israel, por Dios y su Casa.
and to bury him in/on/with city David with [the] king for to make: do welfare in/on/with Israel and with [the] God and house: home his
17 Después de la muerte de Joiadá vinieron los príncipes de Judá, se postraron delante del rey, y el rey les prestó oído.
and after death Jehoiada to come (in): come ruler Judah and to bow to/for king then to hear: hear [the] king to(wards) them
18 Abandonaron entonces la Casa de Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres, y sirvieron a las ascheras y a las estatuas, de manera que estalló la ira (de Dios) contra Judá y Jerusalén a causa de esta su culpa.
and to leave: forsake [obj] house: temple LORD God father their and to serve [obj] [the] Asherah and [obj] [the] idol and to be wrath upon Judah and Jerusalem in/on/with guiltiness their this
19 Yahvé les envió profetas, los cuales dieron testimonios contra ellos, para que se convirtiesen a Él, pero no les hicieron caso.
and to send: depart in/on/with them prophet to/for to return: return them to(wards) LORD and to testify in/on/with them and not to listen
20 Entonces el Espíritu de Dios revistió a Zacarías, hijo de Joiadá, el sacerdote; el cual puesto de pie se presentó delante del pueblo y les dijo: “Así dice Dios: ¿Por qué traspasáis los mandamientos de Yahvé? No tendréis éxito; pues por cuanto habéis dejado a Yahvé, Él os ha dejado a vosotros.”
and spirit God to clothe [obj] Zechariah son: child Jehoiada [the] priest and to stand: stand from upon to/for people and to say to/for them thus to say [the] God to/for what? you(m. p.) to pass: trespass [obj] commandment LORD and not to prosper for to leave: forsake [obj] LORD and to leave: forsake [obj] you
21 Mas ellos conspiraron contra él, y por mandato del rey le apedrearon en el atrio de la Casa de Yahvé.
and to conspire upon him and to stone him stone in/on/with commandment [the] king in/on/with court house: temple LORD
22 Pues el rey Joás no se acordó de los beneficios que le había hecho Joiadá, padre de (Zacarías), sino que mató al hijo del mismo, el cual exclamó muriendo: “¡Véalo Yahvé y tome venganza!”

23 Al cabo de un año subió contra Joás el ejército de los sirios, que invadieron a Judá y Jerusalén, mataron de entre el pueblo a todos los príncipes del pueblo y enviaron todos sus despojos al rey de Damasco.
and to be to/for circuit [the] year to ascend: rise upon him strength: soldiers Syria and to come (in): come to(wards) Judah and Jerusalem and to ruin [obj] all ruler [the] people from people and all spoil their to send: depart to/for king Damascus
24 El ejército de los sirios había venido con poca gente, pero Yahvé entregó en su mano un ejército muy grande; pues habían dejado a Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres. Así (los sirios) ejecutaron el juicio contra Joás.
for in/on/with little human to come (in): come strength: soldiers Syria and LORD to give: give in/on/with hand: power their strength: soldiers to/for abundance much for to leave: forsake [obj] LORD God father their and with Joash to make: do judgment
25 Y cuando ellos se retiraron de él, dejándole en grandes dolores, se conjuraron contra él sus siervos, a causa de la sangre de los hijos del sacerdote Joiadá, y le mataron en su lecho, y así murió. Le sepultaron en la ciudad de David, mas no en los sepulcros de los reyes.

26 Los que conspiraron contra él fueron Zabad, hijo de Simeat, ammonita, y Josabad, hijo de Simrit, moabita.
and these [the] to conspire upon him Zabad son: child Shimeath [the] Ammon and Jehozabad son: child Shimrith [the] Moabite
27 Lo relativo a sus hijos, las graves amenazas pronunciadas contra él, y la restauración de la Casa de Dios, he aquí que esto se halla escrito en el comentario del libro de los reyes. En su lugar reinó Amasías, su hijo.
