1 Reyes 7

1 Durante trece años edificó Salomón su propia casa, hasta que la hubo completamente terminado.

But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.

2 Construyó la Casa del Bosque del Líbano, de cien codos de largo, de cincuenta codos de ancho y de treinta codos de alto, sobre cuatro hileras de columnas de cedro, con vigas de cedro sobre las columnas.

He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; its length [was] a hundred cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits, and its hight thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.

3 E hizo un techo de madera de cedro sobre las habitaciones que estribaban sobre cuarenta y cinco columnas, quince en cada hilera.

And [it was] covered with cedar above upon the beams, that [lay] on forty-five pillars, fifteen [in] a row.

4 Había tres filas de ventanas, y se correspondían tres veces unas a otras.

And [there were] windows in three rows, and light [was] against light [in] three ranks.

5 Todas las puertas con sus postes tenían marcos cuadrangulares, y las ventanas daban luz correspondiéndose tres veces las unas a las otras.

And all the doors and posts [were] square, with the windows: and light [was] against light [in] three ranks.

6 Hizo también un pórtico de columnas de cincuenta codos de largo y de treinta codos de ancho, y delante de ellas (otro) pórtico con columnas, y un techo delante de ellas.

And he made a porch of pillars; its length [was] fifty cubits, and its breadth thirty cubits: and the porch [was] before them: and the [other] pillars and the thick beams [were] before them.

7 Hizo, además, el pórtico del trono, el pórtico del juicio, donde él juzgaba, y lo revistió de maderas de cedro desde el suelo hasta el techo.

Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, [even] the porch of judgment: and [it was] covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.

8 De la misma madera fue construida la casa, donde él mismo había de habitar, en otro atrio, más atrás del pórtico. Salomón hizo también una casa al estilo de este pórtico para la hija del Faraón que había tomado por mujer.

And his house where he dwelt [had] another court within the porch, [which] was of the like work. Solomon made also a house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had married, like to this porch.

9 Todas estas construcciones, por dentro y por fuera, desde los cimientos hasta las cornisas, y por fuera hasta el atrio grande, eran de piedras escogidas, cortadas a medida y aserradas con sierra.

All these [were of] costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation to the coping, and [so] on the outside towards the great court.

10 También los cimientos eran de piedras escogidas, piedras grandes, piedras de diez codos y de ocho codos.

And the foundation [was of] costly stones, even great stones; stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.

11 La parte superior, asimismo, era de piedras escogidas, cortadas a medida, y de madera de cedro.

And above [were] costly stones, after the measures of hewn stones, and cedars.

12 El atrio grande tenía a la redonda tres órdenes de piedras cortadas, y un orden de vigas de cedro, así como lo tenía el atrio interior de la Casa de Yahvé y el pórtico del palacio.

And the great court around [was] with three rows of hewn stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.

13 El rey Salomón hizo venir de Tiro a Hiram,

And king Solomon sent and brought Hiram out of Tyre.

14 el cual era hijo de una viuda de la tribu de Neftalí y de un padre de Tiro que era herrero de bronce. Hiram estaba lleno de sabiduría, inteligencia y maestría para hacer cualquier clase de obras de bronce. Este, pues, llegó al rey Salomón e hizo toda su obra.

He [was] a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father [was] a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and ingenious to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.

15 Hiram fundió las dos columnas de bronce. Cada columna tenía diez y ocho codos de altura; y un cordón de doce codos medía la circunferencia de las dos columnas.

For he cast two pillars of brass, each of eighteen cubits high: and a line of twelve cubits did encompass each of them.

16 Hizo dos capiteles de bronce fundido, para colocarlos encima de las columnas. Cinco codos de altura tenía el primer capitel, y cinco codos de altura tenía el otro.

And he made two capitals [of] molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the hight of the one capital [was] five cubits, and the hight of the other capital [was] five cubits:

17 Fabricó también mallas en forma de redes, y cadenillas trenzadas para los capiteles que estaban encima de las columnas: siete para el primer capitel, y siete para el segundo.

[And] nets of checker-work, and wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which [were] upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.

18 E hizo las columnas de tal manera que había dos órdenes de granadas en derredor de una de las redes para cubrir el capitel que estaba encima de la columna. Lo mismo hizo para el segundo capitel.

And he made the pillars, and two rows around upon the one net-work, to cover the capitals that [were] upon the top, with pomegranates: and so he did for the other capital.

19 Los capiteles que estaban encima de las columnas del pórtico tenían forma de azucenas y eran de cuatro codos.

And the capitals that [were] upon the top of the pillars [were] of lily-work in the porch, four cubits.

20 En los capiteles sobre las dos columnas había doscientas granadas puestas en la convexidad sobresaliente de las mallas. Había, asimismo, doscientas granadas, ordenadas alrededor del segundo capitel.

And the capitals upon the two pillars [had pomegranates] also above, over against the belly which [was] by the net-work: and the pomegranates [were] two hundred in rows around upon the other capital.

21 Levantó estas columnas junto al pórtico del Templo. Alzó la columna derecha y le dio el nombre de Jaquín; después alzó la columna izquierda y le dio el nombre de Bóaz.

And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called its name Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called its name Boaz.

22 Encima de las columnas había un adorno en forma de azucenas. Así quedó concluida la obra de las dos columnas.

And upon the top of the pillars [was] lily-work: so was the work of the pillars finished.

23 Hizo, además, un mar (de bronce) fundido, de diez codos de un borde al otro. Era completamente redondo y tenía cinco codos de altura. Un cordón de treinta codos ceñía toda su circunferencia.

And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: [it was] entirely round, and its hight [was] five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits encompassed it.

24 Por debajo de su borde lo rodeaban coloquíntidas, todo alrededor, diez por cada codo, cercando el mar entero con dos órdenes de coloquíntidas, fundidas al mismo tiempo que él.

And under the brim of it around [there were] knobs compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea around: the knobs [were] cast in two rows, when it was cast.

25 Estaba asentado sobre doce bueyes, de los cuales tres miraban hacia el norte, tres hacia el occidente, tres hacia el sur y tres hacia el oriente. El mar descansaba encima de ellos, y las partes traseras de todos ellos se dirigían hacia adentro.

It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking towards the north, and three looking towards the west, and three looking towards the south, and three looking towards the east: and the sea [was set] above upon them, and all their hinder parts [were] inward.

26 Su espesor medía un palmo, y su borde era labrado como el borde de un cáliz, como una flor de azucena. Cabían en él dos mil batos.

And it [was] a hand-breadth thick, and its brim was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.

27 Hizo también diez basas de bronce. Cuatro codos era el largo de cada basa, cuatro codos su ancho, y tres codos su altura.

And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits [was] the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth of it, and three cubits the hight of it.

28 He aquí la forma de las basas: Constaban de tableros y de travesaños que cruzaban los tableros.

And the work of the bases [was] in this [manner]: They had borders, and the borders [were] between the ledges:

29 En los tableros, entre los travesaños había leones, bueyes y querubines, y lo mismo en los travesaños. Por encima y por debajo de los leones y de los bueyes había guirnaldas que colgaban.

And on the borders that [were] between the ledges [were] lions, oxen, and cherubim: and upon the ledges [there was] a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen [were] certain additions made of thin work.

30 Cada basa tenía cuatro ruedas de bronce, con sus ejes de bronce, y en sus cuatro esquinas había apoyos de fundición sobre los cuales descansaba la pila. Cada uno de ellos sobresalía de las guirnaldas.

And every base had four brazen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners of it had undersetters: under the laver [were] undersetters molten, at the side of every addition.

31 La abertura (para recibir la pila) estaba dentro de una guarnición que tenía un codo de altura. La abertura era redonda, de la forma de un pedestal, y de codo y medio de diámetro. Sobre la abertura había también grabaduras y los tableros eran cuadrados, y no redondos.

And the mouth of it within the capital and above [was] a cubit: but the mouth of it [was] round [after] the work of the base, a cubit and a half: and also upon the mouth of it [were] gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.

32 Las cuatro ruedas estaban debajo de los tableros, y los ejes de las ruedas fijados en la basa misma. La altura de cada rueda era de codo y medio.

And under the borders [were] four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels [were joined] to the base: and the hight of a wheel [was] a cubit and half a cubit.

33 Las ruedas estaban hechas como las ruedas de un carro; sus ejes, sus llantas, sus rayos y sus cubos, todo era de fundición.

And the work of the wheels [was] like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their fellies, and their spokes, [were] all molten.

34 Había cuatro apoyos en las cuatro esquinas de cada basa, y los apoyos formaban una sola pieza con la basa.

And [there were] four undersetters to the four corners of one base: [and] the undersetters [were] of the very base itself.

35 La parte superior de cada basa remataba en un cilindro de medio codo de altura. Los apoyos y los tableros formaban en la parte superior de la basa una sola pieza con esta.

And in the top of the base [was there] a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base its ledges and its borders [were] of the same.

36 En las planchas de sus apoyos y en los tableros grabó querubines, leones y palmas, según el espacio correspondiente a cada uno, y guirnaldas en derredor.

For on the plates of its ledges, and on its borders, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions around.

37 Así, pues, se hicieron las diez basas; todas ellas eran de una misma fundición, de una misma medida y de la misma forma.

After this [manner] he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, [and] one size.

38 Luego hizo diez pilas de bronce, cada una de cuarenta batos de cabida. Cada pila tenía cuatro codos y cada una (descansaba) sobre una de las diez basas.

Then he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: [and] every laver was four cubits: [and] upon every one of the ten bases one laver.

39 Colocó cinco de las basas al lado derecho de la Casa, y cinco al lado izquierdo de la Casa. El mar (de bronce) lo puso al lado derecho de la Casa, al sudeste.

And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.

40 Asimismo hizo Hiram las calderas, las palas y las tazas. Terminó, pues, Hiram toda la obra que el rey Salomón le había encargado para la Casa de Yahvé:

And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he executed for king Solomon for the house of the LORD:

41 las dos columnas, los dos globos de los capiteles que estaban encima de las columnas, las dos redes que cubrían los dos globos de los capiteles en que remataban las columnas,

The two pillars, and the [two] bowls of the capitals that [were] on the top of the two pillars; and the two net-works, to cover the two bowls of the capitals which [were] upon the top of the pillars;

42 las cuatrocientas granadas para las dos redes, dos órdenes de granadas para cada red, para cubrir los dos globos de los capiteles que coronaban las columnas,

And four hundred pomegranates for the two net-works, [even] two rows of pomegranates for one net-work, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that [were] upon the pillars;

43 las diez basas y las diez pilas sobre las basas,

And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;

44 el mar y los doce bueyes de debajo del mar,

And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;

45 las calderas, las palas y las tazas. Todos estos utensilios que hizo Hiram para el rey Salomón, en la Casa de Yahvé, eran de bronce bruñido.

And the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: and all these vessels which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, [were of] bright brass.

46 El rey los hizo fundir en la llanura del Jordán, donde hay tierra arcillosa, entre Sucot y Sartán.

In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.

47 Por la extraordinaria cantidad de todos los utensilios, Salomón dejó de pesarlos; no fue averiguado el peso de bronce.

And Solomon left all the vessels [unweighed], because they were very numerous: neither was the weight of the brass ascertained.

48 Salomón hizo fabricar, además, todos los otros utensilios de la Casa de Yahvé: el altar de oro, la mesa de oro sobre la cual se ponía el pan de la proposición,

And Solomon made all the vessels that [pertained] to the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, upon which [was] the show-bread,

49 los candelabros de oro fino, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda, frente al Santísimo, las flores, las lámparas y las despabiladeras de oro,

And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right [side], and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs [of] gold,

50 las fuentes, los cuchillos, las copas, las tazas y los braseros, de oro fino, y también los goznes de oro para la puerta de la Casa interior, o sea, el Santísimo, y para la puerta de la Casa, el Templo.

And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers [of] pure gold; and the hinges [of] gold, [both] for the doors of the inner house, the most holy [place], [and] for the doors of the house, [to wit], of the temple.

51 Así fue concluida toda la obra que hizo el rey Salomón en la Casa de Yahvé. Y trajo Salomón las cosas que su padre David había consagrado: la plata, el oro y los vasos, y los depositó en la tesorería de la Casa de Yahvé.

So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; [even] the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, he placed among the treasures of the house of the LORD.
