1 Reinaba el rey Salomón sobre todo Israel.
And so it came to pass, that, King Solomon, was king, over all Israel.
2 Sus ministros eran estos: Azarías, hijo de Sadoc, era el sacerdote;
Now, these, were his chief officers of state, —Azariah son of Zadok, the priest;
3 Elihóref y Ahías, hijos de Sisa, secretarios; Josafat, hijo de Aquilud, cronista;
Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shisha, scribes, —Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud, the recorder;
4 Banaías, hijo de Joiadá, jefe del ejército; Sadoc y Abiatar, sacerdotes;
And Benaiah son of Jehoiada, over the army, —and Zadok and Abiathar priests;
5 Azarías, hijo de Natán, jefe de los intendentes; Zabud, hijo de Natán, sacerdote, amigo del rey;
And Azariah son of Nathan, over the governors, —and Zabud son of Nathan, minister, king’s friend;
6 Aquisar, prefecto del palacio; y Adoniram, hijo de Abdá, prefecto de los tributos.
And Ahishar, over the household, —and Adoniram son of Abda, over the tribute.
7 Tenía Salomón doce intendentes sobre todo Israel, los cuales proveían de víveres al rey y su casa. Cada uno tenía que proveer los víveres durante un mes del año.
And, Solomon, had twelve governors over all Israel, who used to sustain the king and his household, —for a month in the year, was it appointed unto each one, to find sustenance.
8 He aquí los nombres de ellos: Ben-Hur, en la montaña de Efraím;
And, these, are their names, Ben-hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
9 Ben-Déquer en Macas, Saalbim, Betsemes, Elón y Bethanán;
Ben-deker, in Makaz and in Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh, —and Elon-beth-hanan;
10 Ben-Hésed, en Arubot; él tenía Socó y toda la tierra de Héfer.
Ben-hesed, in Arubboth, —to him, pertaineth Socoh, and all the land of Hepher;
11 Ben- Abinadab tenía toda Nafat-Dor; su mujer era Tafat, hija de Salomón.
Ben-abinadab, all the height of Dor, —Taphath daughter of Solomon, had he to wife;
12 Baaná, hijo de Aquilud, tenía Taanac y Megiddó, y todo Betseán, que está al lado de Saretan, por debajo de Jesreel, desde Betseán hasta Abel-Meholá, hasta más allá de Jocneam.
Baana son of Ahilud, in Taanach, and Megiddo, —and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean as far as Abel-meholah, as far as over against Jokmeam;
13 Ben-Géber, en Ramot-Galaad, tenía las Villas de Jaír, hijo de Manasés, situadas en Galaad. Tenía también la región de Argob, que está en Basan, sesenta ciudades grandes con muros y con barras de bronce.
Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead, —to him, belonged the towns of Jair, son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, his, was the region of Argob which is in Bashan, sixty great cities, with walls and with bars of bronze;
14 Aquinadab, hijo de Addó, en Mahanaim;
Ahinadab son of Iddo, towards Mahanaim;
15 Aquimaas, en Neftalí; este también había tomado por mujer una hija de Salomón (de nombre) Basemat;
Ahimaaz, in Naphtali, —moreover, he, took Basemath daughter of Solomon, to wife;
16 Baaná, hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Alot;
Banna son of Hushai, in Asher and in Aloth;
17 Josafat, hijo de Parúa, en Isacar;
Jehoshaphat son of Paruah, in Issachar;
18 Semeí, hijo de Elá, en Benjamín;
Shimei son of Ela, in Benjamin;
19 Géber, hijo de Urí, en la tierra de Galaad, país de Sehón, rey amorreo, y de Og, rey de Basan. Había en aquella tierra un solo intendente.
Geber son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, —the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, being, the one governor, that was in the land.
20 Judá e Israel eran numerosos; su multitud era como las arenas que hay a orillas del mar; y comían y bebían y se alegraban.
Judah and Israel, were many, as the sand that is by the sea, for multitude, —eating and drinking, and rejoicing.
21 Reinaba Salomón sobre todos los reinos desde el río hasta la tierra de los filisteos, y hasta la frontera de Egipto. Ellos traían tributos y estuvieron sujetos a Salomón todos los días de su vida.
And, Solomon, became ruler over all the kingdoms, from the River [even unto] the land of the Philistines, and as far as the boundary of Egypt, —and these were bringing presents, and serving Solomon, all the days of his life.
22 La provisión para la mesa de Salomón consistía cada día en treinta coros de flor de harina y sesenta coros de harina común,
And it came to pass, that Solomon’s provision for one day was, —thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal;
23 diez bueyes cebados, veinte bueyes de pasto, y cien ovejas, sin contar los corzos, gacelas, ciervos y aves cebadas.
ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, —besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fatted fowl.
24 Porque él reinaba sobre toda la tierra al lado de aquí del río, desde Tafsah hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes de esta parte del río; y gozaba de paz por todos lados en derredor suyo.
For, he, had dominion over all on this side the River, from Tiphsah even as far as Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River, —and he had, peace, on all sides of him, round about.
25 Judá e Israel habitaban seguros, cada cual bajo su parra y su higuera, desde Dan hasta Bersabee, todos los días de Salomón.
And Judah and Israel dwelt securely, every man under his own vine, and under his own fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-sheba, —all the days of Solomon.
26 Tenía Salomón cuarenta mil pesebres para los caballos de sus carros, y doce mil caballos de silla.
And it came to pass that, Solomon, had forty thousand stalls of horses, for his chariots, —and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 Aquellos intendentes proveían de víveres al rey Salomón y a cuantos tenían acceso a la mesa del rey Salomón, cada cual en su mes, sin dejar que faltase cosa alguna.
And these governors provided sustenance for King Solomon, and for all that drew near unto the table of King Solomon, every man in his month, —they let, nought, be lacking.
28 Llevaban también cebada y paja para los caballos y para las bestias de carga a cualquier lugar donde él estaba, cada uno cuando le tocaba el turno.
Barley also and crushed straw, for the horses and for the swift beasts, brought they in unto the place where it should be, every man according to his charge.
29 Dios otorgó a Salomón sabiduría, y una inteligencia y grandeza de corazón tan inmensa como la arena que está en las playas del mar;
And God gave wisdom unto Solomon, and discernment, and very great largeness of heart, —like the sand that is on the shore of the sea:
30 de modo que la sabiduría de Salomón superaba a la sabiduría de todos los hijos del Oriente y a toda la sabiduría de Egipto.
so that, the wisdom of Solomon, excelled, the wisdom of all the sons of the East, —and all the wisdom of the Egyptians,
31 Era más sabio que todos los hombres: más que Etán; el ezrahita, más que Hernán, Calcol y Dardá, hijos de Macol, y su nombre se celebraba en todas las naciones comarcanas.
so that he was wiser than any man—than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman and Calcol and Darda, sons of Mahol, —and it came to pass that, his name, was throughout all the nations round about.
32 Compuso tres mil proverbios, y sus cantos fueron mil cinco.
And he spake three thousand proverbs, —and it came to pass that, his songs, were a thousand and five.
33 Disertó acerca de los árboles, desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que brota en el muro. Discurrió asimismo sobre las bestias, las aves, los reptiles y los peces.
And he discoursed of trees—from the cedar that is in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop, that springeth out in the wall, —and he discoursed of beasts and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 Para oír la sabiduría de Salomón venían hombres de todos los pueblos, enviados de todos los reyes de la tierra, que habían oído hablar de su sabiduría.
And there came in, of all the peoples, to hear the wisdom of Solomon—of all the kings of the earth, who heard his wisdom.
