1 Reyes 13
1 He aquí que por orden de Yahvé vino un hombre de Dios de Judá a Betel, estando Jeroboam todavía en el altar para quemar incienso.
And there! - a man of God he came from Judah by [the] word of Yahweh to Beth-el and Jeroboam [was] standing at the altar to make smoke.
2 Y gritó contra el altar por orden de Yahvé, y dijo: “¡Altar, altar! así dice Yahvé: He aquí que un hijo ha de nacer a la casa de David, que se llamará Josías, el cual sacrificará sobre ti a los sacerdotes de los lugares altos que queman incienso sobre ti; y se quemaran sobre ti huesos humanos.”
And he called out on the altar by [the] word of Yahweh and he said O altar altar thus he says Yahweh here! a son [is] about to be born to [the] house of David [will be] Josiah name his and he will sacrifice on you [the] priests of the high places who make smoke on you and bones of humankind people will burn on you.
3 Y dio aquel mismo día una señal diciendo: “Esta es la señal que ha indicado Yahvé: He aquí que el altar se quebrará y se derramará la ceniza que hay sobre él.”
And he gave on the day that a sign saying this [is] the sign which he has spoken Yahweh here! the altar [is] about to be torn apart and it will be poured out the fatty ash which [is] on it.
4 Al oír el rey la palabra que el varón de Dios gritaba contra el altar de Betel, extendió su mano desde el altar y dijo: “¡Prendedlo!” Mas se le secó la mano que había extendido contra él; y no pudo retirarla hacia sí.
And it was when heard the king [the] word of [the] man of God which he called out on the altar at Beth-el and he stretched out Jeroboam hand his from at the altar saying - seize him and it dried up hand his which he had stretched out on him and not he was able to bring back it to himself.
5 Y al punto el altar se quebró, y se derramó la ceniza del altar, conforme a la señal que el varón de Dios había dado por orden de Yahvé.
And the altar it was torn apart and it was poured out the fatty ash from the altar according to the sign which he had given [the] man of God by [the] word of Yahweh.
6 Entonces tomando el rey la palabra dijo al varón de Dios: “Suplica, te ruego, a Yahvé tu Dios, y ora por mí, para que vuelva hacia mí la mano.” Y suplicó el varón de Dios a Yahvé, después de lo cual la mano del rey volvió hacia él y quedó como antes.
And he answered the king and he said - to [the] man of God entreat please [the] face of Yahweh God your and pray for me so may it come back hand my to me and he entreated [the] man of God [the] face of Yahweh and it came back [the] hand of the king to him and it was as at the former [time].
7 Luego dijo el rey al varón de Dios: “Ven conmigo a casa, y toma un refresco y te daré un presente.”
And he spoke the king to [the] man of God come! with me the house towards and sustain! so let me give to you a gift.
8 Pero el varón de Dios respondió al rey: “Aunque me dieras la mitad de tu casa, no iría contigo; y no comeré pan ni beberé agua en este lugar;
And he said [the] man of God to the king if you will give to me half of household your not I will go with you and not I will eat bread and not I will drink water in the place this.
9 porque así me fue mandado por palabra de Yahvé, que me dijo: «No comerás pan ni beberás agua, ni volverás por el camino por donde viniste.»”
For thus - he commanded me by [the] word of Yahweh saying not you must eat bread and not you must drink water and not you must return by the way which you went.
10 Se fue, pues, por otro camino, y no volvió por el camino por el cual había venido a Betel.
And he went by a way another and not he returned by the way which he had come by it to Beth-el.
11 Ahora bien, habitaba en Betel un profeta anciano, al cual llegaron sus hijos y le contaron todo lo que aquel día había hecho el varón de Dios en Betel. Contaron también a su padre las palabras que había dicho al rey.
And a prophet one old [was] dwelling in Beth-el and he came son his and he recounted to him every deed which he had done [the] man of God - this day in Beth-el the words which he had spoken to the king and they recounted them to father their.
12 Su padre les dijo: “¿Por qué camino se fue?” Y le mostraron sus hijos el camino que había tomado el varón de Dios venido de Judá.
And he spoke to them father their where? this [is] the way [which] he went and they had seen sons his the way which he had gone [the] man of God who he had come from Judah.
13 Dijo entonces a sus hijos: “Aparejadme el asno.” Le aparejaron el asno, y montado en él
And he said to sons his saddle for me the donkey and they saddled for him the donkey and he rode on it.
14 siguió tras el varón de Dios, y después de hallarlo sentado bajo una encina le dijo: “¿Eres tú el varón de Dios que ha venido de Judá?” “Yo soy”, respondió él.
And he went after [the] man of God and he found him sitting under the oak and he said to him ¿ [are] you [the] man of God who you came from Judah and he said I [am].
15 El otro le dijo: “Vente conmigo a casa a comer pan.”
And he said to him come with me the house towards and eat bread.
16 Mas él contestó: “No puedo volver contigo, ni entrar contigo (en tu casa); tampoco podré comer pan ni beber agua contigo en este lugar;
And he said not I am able to turn back with you and to go with you and not I will eat bread and not I will drink with you water in the place this.
17 porque me fue mandado por palabra de Yahvé, que me dijo: «No comas pan ni bebas agua allí, ni vuelvas a tomar el camino por donde viniste.»”
For a word [was] to me by [the] word of Yahweh not you must eat bread and not you must drink there water not you must return to go by the way which you went by it.
18 El otro le dijo: “Yo también soy profeta como tú, y un ángel me ha hablado por orden de Yahvé, diciendo: «Hazle volver contigo a tu casa, para que coma pan y beba agua.»” Y así lo engañó.
And he said to him also I [am] a prophet like you and an angel it has spoken to me by [the] word of Yahweh saying bring back him with you to house your so he may eat bread so he may drink water he lied to him.
19 Se volvió con él, y comió pan en su casa y bebió agua.
And he went back with him and he ate bread in house his and he drank water.
20 Estando ellos aún sentados a la mesa, fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé al profeta que lo había hecho volver;
And it was they [were] sitting to the table. And it came [the] word of Yahweh to the prophet who he had brought back him.
21 y gritando al varón de Dios que había venido de Judá, le dijo: “Así dice Yahvé: Por cuanto has sido rebelde a la orden de Yahvé, y no has observado la orden que Yahvé, tu Dios, te había dado,
And he called out to [the] man of God who he had come from Judah saying thus he says Yahweh because for you have been disobedient to [the] mouth of Yahweh and not you have kept the command which he commanded you Yahweh God your.
22 sino que volviéndote has comido pan y bebido agua en este lugar, en que Él te prohibió comer pan y beber agua, no entrará tu cadáver al sepulcro de tus padres.”
And you went back and you ate bread and you drank water in the place which he spoke to you may not you eat bread and may not you drink water not it will go corpse your to [the] grave of ancestors your.
23 Y apenas hubo comido pan y tomado bebida, cuándo el otro aparejó para él el asno, (es decir), para el profeta a quien había hecho volver.
And it was after ate he bread and after drank he and he saddled for him the donkey for the prophet whom he had brought back him.
24 Partió, pues, mas en el camino le encontró un león, que le mató, y quedó su cadáver tendido en el camino, mientras que el asno estaba parado junto a él; también el león se tenía de pie al lado del cadáver.
And he went and it met him a lion on the way and it killed him and it was corpse his thrown down in the road and the donkey [was] standing beside it and the lion [was] standing beside the corpse.
25 Y he aquí que pasaron algunos hombres que vieron el cadáver tendido en el camino, y al león parado junto al cadáver y fueron a contarlo en la ciudad donde habitaba aquel anciano profeta.
And there! men [were] passing by and they saw the corpse thrown down in the road and the lion standing beside the corpse and they went and they spoke in the city which the prophet old [was] dwelling in it.
26 Cuando lo oyó el profeta que le había hecho volver del camino, dijo: “Es el varón de Dios que fue rebelde a la orden de Yahvé; por lo cual Este le entregó al león, que le ha despedazado y le ha dado muerte, conforme a la palabra que Yahvé le había dicho.”
And he heard the prophet who he had brought back him from the way and he said [is] [the] man of God that who he was disobedient to [the] mouth of Yahweh and he has given him Yahweh to the lion and it has mauled him and it has killed him according to [the] word of Yahweh which he spoke to him.
27 Dijo entonces a sus hijos: “Aparejadme el asno.” Ellos se lo aparejaron;
And he spoke to sons his saying saddle for me the donkey and they saddled [it].
28 y él se fue, y halló el cadáver tendido en el camino, y el asno y el león parados junto al cadáver. El león no se había comido el cadáver ni había despedazado el asno.
And he went and he found corpse his thrown down in the road and [the] donkey and the lion [were] standing beside the corpse not it had eaten the lion the corpse and not it had mauled the donkey.
29 El profeta alzó el cadáver del varón de Dios, lo puso sobre el asno; y llevándolo de vuelta vino el anciano profeta a la ciudad para velarlo y darle sepultura.
And he picked up the prophet [the] corpse of [the] man of God and he placed him to the donkey and he brought back him and he came to [the] city of the prophet old to mourn and to bury him.
30 Depositó el cadáver en su propio sepulcro, y le hicieron el duelo, exclamando: “¡Ay, hermano mío!”
And he placed corpse his in own grave his and people mourned on him alas! O brother my.
31 Después de sepultarlo dijo a sus hijos: “Cuando yo muera, sepultadme en el sepulcro en que está sepultado el varón de Dios. Depositad mis huesos junto a sus huesos.
And it was after buried he him and he said to sons his saying at death my and you will bury me in the grave which [the] man of God [is] buried in it beside bones his place bones my.
32 Porque infaliblemente se cumplirá la palabra que él por orden de Yahvé gritó contra el altar que está en Betel y contra todos los santuarios de los lugares altos que están en las ciudades de Samaria.”
For certainly it will happen the word which he called out by [the] word of Yahweh on the altar which [is] in Beth-el and on all [the] houses of the high places which [are] in [the] cities of Samaria.
33 Aun después de este acontecimiento Jeroboam no se apartó de su mal camino, antes al contrario, volvió a constituir como sacerdotes de los lugares altos a gentes del vulgo. A cualquiera que quería, le consagraba y quedaba sacerdote de los lugares altos.
After the matter this not he turned back Jeroboam from way his evil and he returned and he appointed from [the] ends of the people priests of high places the [one] desiring he filled hand his and he may be priests of high places.
34 En esto consistió el pecado de la casa de Jeroboam, y por eso fue extirpada y destruida de sobre la tierra.
And it became by the matter this [the] sin of [the] house of Jeroboam and to annihilate [it] and to destroy [it] from on [the] surface of the ground.
