1 Crónicas 4
1 Hijos de Judá: Fares, Hesrón, Carmí, Hur y Sobal,
And the sons of Juda; Phares, Esrom, and Charmi, and Or, Subal,
2 Raías, hijo de Sobal, engendró a Jáhat. Jáhat engendró a Ahumai y a Lahad. Estas son las familias de los sarateos.
and Rada his son; and Subal begot Jeth; and Jeth begot Achimai, and Laad: these [are] the generations of the Arathites.
3 He aquí los descendientes de la estirpe de Etam: Jesreel, Ismá e Idbás; su hermana se llamaba Hasalelponí.
And these [are] the sons of Aetam; Jezrael and Jesman, and Jebdas: and their sister's name [was] Eselebbon.
4 Fanuel fue padre de Gedor, y Éser, padre de Husá. Estos son los hijos de Hur, primogénito de Efrata, padre de Betlehem.
And Phanuel the father of Gedor, and Jazer the father of Osan: these [are] the sons of Or, the firstborn of Ephratha, the father of Baethalaen.
5 Ashur, padre de Tecoa, tuvo dos mujeres: Hela y Naará.
And Asur the father of Thecoe had two wives, Aoda and Thoada.
6 De Naará le nacieron: Ohosam, Héfer, Temaní y Haahastarí. Estos son los hijos de Naará.
And Aoda bore to him Ochaia, and Ephal, and Thaeman, and Aasther: all these [were] the sons of Aoda.
7 Hijos de Hela: Séret, Ishar y Etnán.
And the sons of Thoada; Sereth, and Saar, and Esthanam.
8 Cos engendró a Anob, a Zobebá y las familias de Aharhel, hijo de Harum.
And Coe begot Enob, and Sabatha, and the progeny of the brother of Rechab, the son of Jarin.
9 Jabés fue más ilustre que sus hermanos; su madre le dio el nombre de Jabés, diciendo: “Porque le di a luz con dolor.”
And Igabes was more famous than his brethren; and his mother called his name Igabes, saying, I have born as a sorrowful one.
10 Jabés invocó al Dios de Israel, diciendo: “Cólmame, te ruego, de bendiciones y ensancha mis términos; protégeme con tu mano y guárdame del mal, de modo que no padezca aflicción.” Y Dios le otorgó su petición.
And Igabes called on the God of Israel, saying, O that you would indeed bless me, and enlarge my coasts, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would make me know that you will not grieve me! And God granted him all that he asked.
11 Kelub, hermano de Suhá, engendró a Mehir, que fue padre de Estón.
And Chaleb the father of Ascha begot Machir; he [was] the father of Assathon.
12 Estón engendró a Betrafa, a Pasee y Tehiná, padre de la ciudad de Nahás. Estos son los hombres de Recá.
He begot Bathraias, and Bessee, and Thaeman the founder of the city of Naas the brother of Eselom the Kenezite: these [were] the men of Rechab.
13 Hijos de Quenaz: Otoniel y Saraías. Hijo de Otoniel: Hatat (y Maonatí).
And the sons of Kenez; Gothoniel, and Saraia: and the sons of Gothoniel; Athath.
14 Maonatí engendró a Ofrá; y Saraías engendró a Joab, padre del Valle de los artesanos; pues eran artesanos.
And Manathi begot Gophera: and Saraia begot Jobab, the father of Ageaddair, for they were artificers.
15 Hijos de Caleb, hijo de Jefone: Ir, Elá y Náam. Hijo de Elá: Quenaz.
And the sons of Chaleb the son of Jephonne; Er, Ada, and Noom: and the sons of Ada, Kenez.
16 Hijos de Jehalelel: Zif, Zifá, Tiriá y Asarel.
And the sons of Aleel, Zib, and Zepha, and Thiria, and Eserel.
17 Hiios de Esrá: Jéter, Méred, Éfer y Jalón. (Jéter) engendró a María, a Samai y a Isbah, padre de Estamo.
And the sons of Esri; Jether, Morad, and Apher, and Jamon: and Jether begot Maron, and Semei, and Jesba the father of Esthaemon.
18 Su mujer, la de Judá, dio a luz a Jéred, padre de Gedor, a Héber, padre de Soco, y a Jecutiel, padre de Zanoa. Aquellos (primeros) fueron los hijos de Bitiá, hija del Faraón, que Méred había tomado por mujer.
And his wife, that [is] Adia, bore Jared the father of Gedor, and Aber the father of Sochon, and Chetiel the father of Zamon: and these [are] the sons of Betthia the daughter of Pharao, whom Mored took.
19 Hijos de la mujer de Hodías, hermana de Náham: el padre de Ceilá, Garmí y Estemoa macaatita.
And the sons of the wife of Iduia the sister of Nachaim the father of Keila; Garmi, and Esthaemon the Nochathite.
20 Hijos de Simón: Amnón, Riná, Benhanán y Tilón. Hijos de Isí: Zóhet y Benzóhet.
And the sons of Semon; Amnon, and Ana the son of Phana, and Inon: and the sons of Sei, Zoan, and the sons of Zoab.
21 Hijos de Selá, hijo de Judá: Er, padre de Leca, Laadá, padre de Maresá, y las familias de los que labran el lino en Bet-Asbea,
The sons of Selom the son of Juda; Er the father of Lechab, and Laada the father of Marisa, and the offspring of the family of Ephrathabac [belonging to] the house of Esoba.
22 y Joquim, los hombres de Cozebá, y Joás y Saraf, los cuales dominaron en Moab y Jasubi-Léhem. Estas son cosas antiguas.
And Joakim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joas, and Saraph, who lived in Moab, and he changed their names to Abederin and Athukiim.
23 Eran ellos alfareros y habitaban en Netaim y Cederá. Habitaban allí al servicio del rey trabajando por él.
These [are] the potters who lived in Ataim and Gadira with the king: they grew strong in his kingdom, and lived there.
24 Hijos de Simeón: Namuel, lamín, Jarib, Zéra y Saúl.
The sons of Semeon; Namuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zares, Saul:
25 Sellum, su hijo; Mibsam, su hijo; Misma, su hijo.
Salem his son, Mabasam his son, Masma his son:
26 Hijos de Mismá: Hanuel, su hijo; Zacur, su hijo; Semeí, su hijo.
Amuel his son, Sabud his son, Zacchur his son, Semei his son.
27 Semeí tuvo diez y seis hijos y seis hijas. Pero sus hermanos no tuvieron muchos hijos, ni se multiplicaron todas sus familias como los hijos de Judá.
Semei [had] sixteen sons, and six daughters; and his brethren had not many sons, neither did all their families multiply as the sons of Juda.
28 Habitaban en Bersabee, Moladá, Hazarsual,
And they lived in Bersabee, and Molada, and in Esersual,
29 Bilhá, Ésem, Tolad,
and in Balaa, and in Aesem, and in Tholad,
30 Betuel, Hormá, Siceleg,
and in Bathuel, and in Herma, and in Sikelag,
31 Bet- Marcabot, Hasarsusim, Betbirí y Saaraim. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reinado de David,
and in Baethmarimoth, and Hemisuseosin, and the house of Baruseorim: these [were] their cities until [the time of] king David.
32 con sus aldeas. (Además): Etam, Ain, Rimón, Toquen y Asan; cinco localidades,
And their villages [were] Aetan, and En, Remnon, and Thocca, and Aesar, five cities.
33 con todas sus aldeas que están en torno a aquellas ciudades, hasta Baal. Estas son sus moradas, y su registro genealógico.
And all their villages [were] round about these cities, as far as Baal: this [was] their possession, and their distribution.
34 Y Mesobab, Jamlec, Josa, hijo de Amasías,
And Mosobab, and Jemoloch, and Josia the son of Amasia;
35 Joel, Jehú, hijo de Josibías, hijo de Saraías, hijo de Asiel;
and Joel, and Jeu the son of Asabia, the son of Sarau, the son of Asiel;
36 Elioenai, Jaacoba, Jesohaías, Asaías, Adiel, Jesimiel, Banaías,
and Elionai, and Jocaba, and Jasuia, and Asaia, and Jediel, and Ismael, and Banaias;
37 Zizá, hijo de Sifí, hijo de Allón, hijo de Jedaías, hijo de Simrí, hijo de Samaías.
and Zuza the son of Saphai, the son of Alon, the son of Jedia, the son of Semri, the son of Samaias.
38 Estos cuyos nombres van aquí, eran príncipes de sus familias, y sus casas paternas tomaron un gran aumento.
These went by the names of princes in their families, and they increased abundantly in their fathers' households.
39 Por lo cual se dirigieron a la entrada de Gedor, hasta el oriente del valle, buscando pastos para sus ganados.
And they went till they came to Gerara, to the east of Gai, to seek pasture for their cattle.
40 Y hallaron pastos pingües y buenos y una tierra espaciosa, tranquila y segura, donde antes habían habitado descendientes de Cam.
And they found abundant and good pastures, and the land before them [was] wide, and [there was] peace and quietness; for [there were] some of the children of Cham who lived there before.
41 Los antes mencionados por nombre vinieron en tiempo de Ezequías, rey de Judá, y destruyeron las tiendas de aquellos, y también a los Meunitas que habitaban allí, entregándolos al exterminio hasta el día de hoy; y entraron a habitar en su lugar, por haber allí pastos para sus ganados.
And these who are written by name came in the days of Ezekias king of Juda, and they struck the people's houses, and the Minaeans whom they found there, and utterly destroyed them until this day: and they lived in their place, because [there was] pasture there for their cattle.
42 Algunos de los hijos de Simeón, en número de quinientos hombres, se fueron a la montaña de Seír, bajo el mando de Faltías, Naarías, Rafaías y Usiel, hijos de Isí;
And some of them, [even] of the sons of Symeon, went to mount Seir, [even] five hundred men; and Phalaettia, and Noadia, and Raphaia, and Oziel, sons of Jesi, [were] their rulers.
43 y derrotaron a los restos de los amalecitas que habían escapado, y allí habitan hasta el día de hoy.
And they struck the remnant that were left of Amalec, until this day.
