1 Crónicas 25

1 David y los jefes del ejército separaron para el culto a los que de entre los hijos de Asaf, de Hemán y de Jedutún tenían que ejercer la música sacra con cítaras, salterios y címbalos. He aquí el número de los hombres que hacían esto en su ministerio:

Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. The number of those who did the work according to their service was:

2 De los hijos de Asaf: Zacur, José, Netanías y Asarela, hijos de Asaf, bajo la dirección de Asaf, que ejercía su ministerio según las órdenes del rey.

of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.

3 De Jedutún: los hijos de Jedutún: Gedalías, Serí, Isaías, Hasabías, Matatías (y Simeí), seis, bajo la dirección de su padre Jedutún, que cantaba con la cítara para celebrar y alabar a Yahvé.

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD with the harp.

4 De Hemán: los hijos de Hemán: Bukías, Matanías, Uciel, Sebuel, Jerimot, Hananías, Hananí, Eliata, Gidalti, Romamtiéser, Josbecasa, Malloti, Hotir y Mahasiot.

Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

5 Todos estos eran hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en las cosas de Dios para ensalzar su poder. Dios había dado a Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.

All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Todos estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en el canto de la Casa de Yahvé, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras para cumplir su ministerio en la Casa de Dios. Asaf, Jedutún y Hemán estaban a las órdenes del rey.

All these were under the hands of their father for song in the LORD’s house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house: Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

7 El número de ellos, con sus hermanos, los que eran instruidos en el canto de Yahvé, todos ellos maestros, era de doscientos ochenta y ocho.

The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to the LORD, even all who were skilful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

8 Echaron suertes para (determinar) sus funciones, sobre pequeños y grandes, hábiles y menos hábiles.

They cast lots for their offices, all alike, the small as well as the great, the teacher as well as the student.

9 Salió la primera suerte de (la casa de) Asaf: para José, la segunda para Gedalías, para él, sus hermanos e hijos: doce;

Now the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, he and his brothers and sons were twelve;

10 la tercera para Zacur, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

11 la cuarta para Isrí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

12 la quinta para Netanías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

13 la sexta para Bukías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

14 la séptima para Jesarela, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

15 la octava para Isaías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

16 la nona, para Matanías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

17 la décima para Simeí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

18 la undécima para Asarel, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

19 la duodécima para Hasabías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

20 la decimotercia para Subael, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

21 la decimocuarta para Matatías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

22 la decimoquinta para Jeremot, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

23 la decimosexta para Hananías, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

24 la decimoséptima para Josbecasa, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

25 la decimoctava para Hananí, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

26 la decimonona para Malloti, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

27 la vigésima para Eliata, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

28 la vigésimo prima para Hotir, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

29 la vigesimosegunda para Gidalti, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

30 la vigesimotercera para Mahasiot, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce;

for the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

31 la vigesimocuarta para Romamtiéser, con sus hijos y hermanos: doce.
