1 Anigu waxaan ahay ubaxnarjiska Shaaroon, Iyo ubaxshooshanka dooxooyinka.
I am a flower of the plain, a lily of the valleys.
2 Sida ubaxshooshanku qodxanta ku dhex yahay, Ayay taan jeclahayna gabdhaha ku dhex tahay.
As a lily amongst thorns, so is my companion amongst the daughters.
3 Sida geedka tufaaxa ahu uu dhirta duurka ku dhex yahay, Ayuu gacaliyahayguna wiilasha ku dhex yahay. Hooskiisaan fadhiistay anigoo aad u faraxsan, Oo midhihiisuna way ila dhadhan macaanaayeen.
As the apple amongst the trees of the wood, so is my kinsman amongst the sons. I desired his shadow, and sat down, and his fruit was sweet in my throat.
4 Wuxuu i keenay guriga diyaafadda, Oo calankiisii i kor sudhnaana wuxuu ahaa jacayl.
Bring me into the wine house; set love before me.
5 Sabiib igu quudi, oo tufaax igu noolee, Waayo, anigu caashaq baan la bukaa.
Strengthen me with perfumes, stay me with apples: for I [am] wounded with love.
6 Gacantiisa bidix madaxaygay ka hoosaysaa, Oo gacantiisa midigna way igu duuban tahay.
His left [hand shall be] under my head, and his right hand shall embrace me.
7 Gabdhaha reer Yeruusaalemow, waxaan idinku dhaarinayaa Cawsha iyo deerada duurka Inaydaan jacayl kicin, ama aydaan toosin Ilaa uu doono.
I have charged you, you daughters of Jerusalem, by the powers and by the virtues of the field, that you do not rouse or wake [my] love, until he please.
8 Waa kaa codkii gacaliyahaygu! Bal eega, wuu soo socdaa, Isagoo buuraha korkooda ku soo boodboodaya, oo kuraha dushooda ku faclaynaya.
The voice of my kinsman! behold, he comes leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills.
9 Gacaliyahaygu waa sida cawl ama deer qayrab ah oo kale. Bal eega, wuxuu taagan yahay derbigayaga gadaashiisa, Oo daaqadahuu ka soo eegayaa, oo shabagguu ka soo dayayaa.
My kinsman is like a roe or a young hart on the mountains of Baethel: behold, he is behind our wall, looking through the windows, peeping through the lattices.
10 Markaasaa gacaliyahaygii ila hadlay oo wuxuu igu yidhi, Taan jeclahayay, soo kac, taydan qurxoonay i soo raac.
My kinsman answers, and says to me, Rise up, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove.
11 Waayo, qabowgii wuu na dhaafay, Oo roobkiina wuu dhammaaday, wuuna qaaday,
For, behold, the winter is past, the rain is gone, it has departed.
12 Ubaxii dhulkuu ka muuqanayaa, Oo wakhtigii shimbirruhu gabyi jireenna waa la gaadhay, Oo codkii qoolleydana dalkayagaa laga maqlayaa.
The flowers are seen in the land; the time of pruning has arrived; the voice of the turtle-dove has been heard in our land.
13 Berduhu midhihiisuu soo bixinayaa, Oo geedaha canabkuna way ubxinayaan, Wayna soo carfayaan. Taan jeclahayay, soo kac, taydan qurxoonay i soo raac.
The fig tree has put forth its young figs, the vines put forth the tender grape, they yield a smell: arise, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove; yes, come.
14 Qoolleydayda qararka dillaacyadooda iyo meelahooda qarsoon ee dalcad ah ku jirta, Bal jaahaaga i tus, oo codkaaga i maqashii, Waayo, codkaagu wuu macaan yahay, oo jaahaaguna wuu surad wacan yahay.
[You are] my dove, in the shelter of the rock, near the wall: show me your face, and cause me to hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your countenance is beautiful.
15 Dawacooyinka noo qabta, kuwaasoo ah dawacooyinka yaryar ee beerahayaga canabka ah bi'iya, Waayo, beerahayaga canabka ahu haatan way ubxinayaan.
Take us the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines put forth tender grapes.
16 Gacaliyahaygu waa kaygii oo anna tiisii baan ahay. Wuxuu adhigiisa daajinayaa ubaxyada dhexdooda.
My kinsman is mine, and I am his: he feeds [his flock] amongst the lilies.
17 Ilaa waagu baryo, oo hoosku baabba'o, Gacaliyahaygiiyow, soo noqo, oo ahow sida cawl oo kale, amase sida deer qayrab ah Oo buuraha Beter kor jooga.
Until the day dawn, and the shadows depart, turn, my kinsman, be you like to a roe or young hart on the mountains of the ravines.
