1 Ilaahow, bal maxaad weligaaba noo xoortay? Oo bal maxaa cadhadaadu ugu kululaataa idaha daaqsintaada?
An Instructive Psalm. Asaph’s. Wherefore, O God, hast thou cast off utterly? Shall thine anger smoke against the flock of thine own pasturing?
2 Bal soo xusuuso ururkaaga aad waa hore soo iibsatay, Oo aad u soo furatay inay ahaadaan qabiilkaad dhaxashay, Oo weliba Buur Siyoon oo aad degganaatana soo xusuuso.
Remember thine own assembly thou didst acquire aforetime, Thou didst redeem the tribe of thine own inheritance, Mount Zion, wherein thou didst take up thy habitation.
3 Tallaabooyinkaaga u soo qaad xagga baabba'a weligiis ah, Iyo xagga xumaanta uu cadowgu meesha quduuska ah ku sameeyey oo dhan.
Lift up thy steps unto the places utterly unsafe, All the mischief!—the foe in the sanctuary!
4 Cadaawayaashaadii waxay ka qayliyeen shirkaaga dhexdiisa, Oo waxay calaamad ahaan u qotonsadeen calammadoodii.
Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of thine appointed meeting, They have set their ensigns as tokens!
5 Waxay u ekaadeen sidii niman faasas u qaatay hawd jiq ah.
One used to be known according as he carried up high—into the thicket of trees—the axes;
6 Haddaba shuqulkiisii la qoray oo dhan Waxay ku wada dumiyaan gudmo iyo dubbayaal.
But, now, the doors thereof all together, with axes and hammers, they batter down.
7 Meeshaada quduuska ah dab bay ku dhejiyeen, Oo waxay wada nijaaseeyeen meeshii magacaaga hoyga u ahayd.
They have cast, into the fire, thy sanctuary, To the ground, have they profaned the habitation of thy Name.
8 Waxay qalbigooda iska yidhaahdeen, Kaalaya aan dhammaantood baabbi'innee, Waxay wada gubeen sunagogyadii Ilaah oo dalka ku dhex yiil oo dhan.
They have said in their heart, Let us suppress them altogether, They have burned up all the meeting-places of GOD in the land.
9 Annagu calaamadahayagii ma aragno, Oo innaba mar dambe nebi ma jiro, Dhexdayadana ma joogo mid garanaya ilaa goorma.
Our own signs, have we not seen, —There is no longer a prophet, —Neither is there with us, one who knoweth—How long!
10 Ilaahow, ilaa goormaa cadowgu caytamayaa? Cadowgu miyuu magacaaga caayayaa weligiisba?
How long, O God, shall the adversary, reproach? Shall the enemy revile thy Name perpetually?
11 Bal maxaad gacantaada midig dib ugu celisaa? Laabtaada ka soo bixi oo iyaga baabbi'i.
Wherefore shouldst thou withdraw thy hand—thy right hand? [Bring it] out of the midst of thy bosom! (Selah)
12 Laakiinse Ilaah waa boqorkayga tan iyo waa hore, Isagoo badbaadin ka dhex samaynaya dhulka.
But, God, hath been my king from aforetime, Working Deliverances in the midst of the earth.
13 Xooggaagaad badda ku kala qaybisay, Oo masbadeedyada ku dhex jirana madaxaad ka jebisaa.
Thou, didst cleave asunder, in thy might, the sea, Thou didst break in pieces the heads of the Crocodiles, [till they floated] on the waters;
14 Waxaad kala burburisay madaxyada bahalbadeedyada oo Lewiiyaataan la odhan jiray, Oo cunto ahaan ayaad u siisay dadkii cidlada degganaa.
Thou, didst crush the heads of the Sea-Monster, Thou didst give him to be food, for the people of the deserts;
15 Waxaad kala furtay ilo iyo durdurro, Oo waxaad qallajisay webiyo waaweyn.
Thou, didst cleave open fountain and torrent, Thou, didst dry up rivers of steady flow:
16 Maalinta adigaa iska leh, habeenkana adigaa iska leh, Oo adigaa diyaariyey iftiinka iyo qorraxdaba.
Thine, is the day, Yea, thine, the night, Thou, didst establish moon and sun;
17 Adigu waxaad samaysay dhulka soohdimihiisa oo dhan, Oo adigaa sameeyey diraac iyo xagaaba.
Thou, didst set up all the bounds of the earth, As for summer and winter, thou, didst form them!
18 Rabbiyow, xusuuso in cadowgu caytamay, Iyo in dad nacas ahu magacaaga caayay.
Remember this, An enemy, hath reproached Yahweh, Yea, an impious people, have reviled thy Name.
19 Qoolleydaada nafteeda ha u gacangelin dugaagga, Weligaaba ha illoobin nafta masaakiintaada,
Do not deliver up, to a wild beast, the life of thy turtle-dove, The living host of thine oppressed ones, do not forget perpetually.
20 Bal soo fiiri axdigaaga, Dhulka meelihiisa gudcurka ah waxaa ka buuxa hoyaalka dulmiga.
Have respect to thy covenant, For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of violence.
21 Kuwa la dulmay yaanay dib u noqon iyagoo ceeboobay, Miskiinka iyo kan baahanu magacaaga ha ammaaneen.
May the crushed one not again be confounded, As for the oppressed and the needy, let them praise thy Name.
22 Ilaahow, sara joogso, oo dacwadaada u muddac. Bal xusuuso siday dadka nacaska ahu maalinta oo dhan kuu caayaan.
Arise! O God, plead thine own cause, Remember the reproach of thee, from the impious one, all the day:
23 Ha illoobin codka cadaawayaashaada, Kuwa kugu kaca buuqoodu had iyo goorba wuu soo kacaa.
Do not forget the voice of thine adversaries, The noise of thine assailants, ascending continually.
