1 Ilaahow, soo dhaqso oo i samatabbixi, Rabbiyow, soo dhaqso oo i caawi.

To the Chief Musician. David’s. To call to Remembrance. [Be pleased] O God, to rescue me, O Yahweh, to help me—make haste.

2 Kuwa doondoonaya inay naftayda iga qaadaan Ha ceeboobeen oo ha wareereen, Oo kuwa waxyeelladayda ku farxaana Dib ha u noqdeen oo ha sharaf beeleen.

Let them turn pale and then at once blush, Who are seeking my life, —Let them draw back, and be confounded, Who are taking pleasure in my misfortune;

3 Kuwa Ahaa, Ahaa, lahu, Ceebtooda dib ha ula noqdeen.

Let them turn back, on account of their own shame, Who are saying, Aha! Aha!

4 Kuwa adiga ku doondoona oo dhammu ha reyreeyeen oo ha kugu farxeen, Oo kuwa badbaadintaada jeceluna had iyo goorba ha yidhaahdeen, Ilaah ha la weyneeyo.

Let all them be glad and rejoice in thee, Yea, let them, who are seekers of thee, —say continually, God be magnified! Who are lovers of thy salvation.

5 Laakiinse miskiin iyo mid baahan baan ahay, Ilaahow, ii soo dhaqso, Waxaad tahay caawimaaddayda iyo samatabbixiyahayga. Rabbiyow, ha iga raagin.

But, I, being humbled and needy, O God, haste to me, —My help and my deliverer, art thou, O Yahweh do not tarry.
