1 Anigu Rabbiga samir baan ku sugay, Oo isna wuu i soo jalleecay, qayladaydiina wuu maqlay,

To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. I Waited paciently for the Lord, and he inclined vnto me, and heard my cry.

2 Oo weliba wuxuu iga soo bixiyey yamays baabba' ah, iyo dhoobada dhiriqda ah, Oo wuxuu cagaha ii saaray dhagax weyn, oo socodkaygiina wuu xoogeeyey.

Hee brought mee also out of the horrible pit, out of the myrie clay, and set my feete vpon the rocke, and ordered my goings.

3 Oo afkaygiina wuxuu geliyey gabay cusub, kaas oo ah ammaanta Ilaaheenna. Kuwo badan baa arki doona, wayna cabsan doonaan, Rabbigayna isku hallayn doonaan.

And he hath put in my mouth a new song of praise vnto our God: many shall see it and feare, and shall trust in the Lord.

4 Waxaa barakaysan ninkii Rabbiga isku halleeya, Oo aan u jeedin kuwa kibirsan ama kuwa beenta ku leexda.

Blessed is the man that maketh the Lord his trust, and regardeth not the proude, nor such as turne aside to lyes.

5 Rabbiyow, Ilaahayow, shuqullada yaabka badan oo aad samaysay way badan yihiin, Oo fikirradaada aad naga qabtidna way badan yihiin, Oo iyaga lama xisaabi karo, Haddii aan sheego oo ka hadlo, Iyagu way ka sii badan yihiin wax la tirin karo.

O Lord my God, thou hast made thy wonderfull workes so many, that none can count in order to thee thy thoughts toward vs: I would declare, and speake of them, but they are moe then I am able to expresse.

6 Allabari iyo qurbaan kuma aad faraxsanid, Oo anna dhegahaygii waad ii furtay, Qurbaan la gubo iyo qurbaanka dembiga midna ima aad weyddiisan.

Sacrifice and offering thou didest not desire: (for mine eares hast thou prepared) burnt offring and sinne offering hast thou not required.

7 Oo markaasaan idhi, Bal eeg, anigu waan imid, Oo kitaabka duudduuban wax igu saabsan baa ku qoran.

Then said I, Lo, I come: for in the rolle of the booke it is written of me,

8 Ilaahayow, waxaan jeclahay inaan sameeyo doonistaada, Haah, oo sharcigaagu wuxuu ku dhex jiraa qalbigayga.

I desired to doe thy good will, O my God: yea, thy Lawe is within mine heart.

9 Xaqnimo baan shirka weyn ku dhex wacdiyey, Oo bal eeg, inaanan bushimahayga ka joojin, Waad og tahay, Rabbiyow.

I haue declared thy righteousnesse in the great Congregation: loe, I will not refraine my lippes: O Lord, thou knowest.

10 Xaqnimadaada qalbigayga kuma aan qarin, Aaminnimadaada iyo badbaadintaadana waan sheegay, Oo raxmaddaada iyo runtaadana kama aan qarin shirka weyn.

I haue not hidde thy righteousnesse within mine heart, but I haue declared thy trueth and thy saluation: I haue not conceiled thy mercy and thy trueth from the great Congregation.

11 Rabbiyow, naxariistaada ha iga ceshan, Raxmaddaada iyo runtaaduna had iyo goorba ha i dhawreen.

Withdrawe not thou thy tender mercie from mee, O Lord: let thy mercie and thy trueth alway preserue me.

12 Waayo, xumaatooyin aan la tirin karin ayaa i hareereeyey, Oo dembiyadaydii ayaa i qabsaday, sidaas daraaddeed kor ma fiirin karo, Iyagu way ka badan yihiin timaha madaxayga, oo qalbigaygiina waa i gabay.

For innumerable troubles haue compassed mee: my sinnes haue taken such holde vpon me, that I am not able to looke vp: yea, they are moe in nomber then the heares of mine head: therefore mine heart hath failed me.

13 Rabbiyow, waan ku baryayaaye, i samatabbixi, Rabbiyow, u soo dhaqso inaad i caawiso.

Let it please thee, O Lord, to deliuer mee: make haste, O Lord, to helpe me.

14 Kuwa doonaya inay naftayda halligaan ha ceeboobeen, Oo dhammaantood ha wareereen, Oo kuwa waxyeelladayda ku farxana Dib ha loo celiyo, oo sharafdarro ha ku soo degto.

Let them be confounded and put to shame together, that seeke my soule to destroye it: let them be driuen backward and put to rebuke, that desire mine hurt.

15 Kuwa aniga, Ahaa, Ahaa, igu yidhaahda, Ceebtooda daraaddeed ha la fajeceen.

Let them be destroyed for a rewarde of their shame, which say vnto me, Aha, aha.

16 Kuwa adiga ku doondoona oo dhammu ha reyreeyeen oo ha kugu farxeen, Oo kuwa badbaadintaada jecelu had iyo goorba ha yidhaahdeen, Rabbiga ha la weyneeyo!

Let all them, that seeke thee, reioyce and be glad in thee: and let them, that loue thy saluation, say alway, The Lord be praysed.

17 Laakiinse anigu waxaan ahay miskiin iyo mid baahan, Sayidkuse waa i xusuustaa. Ilaahayow, waxaad tahay caawimaaddayda iyo samatabbixiyahayga, Haddaba ha iga raagin.

Though I be poore and needie, the Lord thinketh on mee: thou art mine helper and my deliuerer: my God, make no tarying.
