< Sabuurradii 106 >
1 Rabbiga ammaana. Rabbiga ku mahadnaqa, waayo, isagu waa wanaagsan yahay, Oo naxariistiisuna weligeedba way waartaa.
Praise Yahweh! Praise Yahweh, because he does good things [for us]; he faithfully loves [us] forever/continually!
2 Yaa sheegi kara Rabbiga falimihiisa waaweyn? Amase yaa muujin kara ammaantiisa oo dhan?
[Because Yahweh has done many great things], no one can [RHQ] tell all the great things that Yahweh has done, and no one can praise him enough/sufficiently.
3 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa xukunka dhawra, Oo xaqnimada ka shaqeeya wakhti kastaba.
(Happy are/He is pleased with) those who act fairly/justly, with those who always do what is right.
4 Rabbiyow, igu soo xusuuso naxariista aad dadkaaga u qabto, Oo igu soo booqo badbaadintaada,
Yahweh, be kind to me when you help your people; help me when you rescue/save them.
5 Inaan arko kuwaaga aad dooratay barwaaqadooda, Oo aan ku reyreeyo farxadda quruuntaada, Iyo inaan la faano dadka dhaxalkaaga ah.
Allow me to see it when your people become prosperous again and when [all the people of] your nation, [Israel], are happy; allow me to be happy with them! I want to praise you along with [all] those [others] who belong to you.
6 Waxaannu la dembaabnay awowayaashayo, Xumaanna waannu samaynay, oo si shar ah ayaannu wax u samaynay.
We and our ancestors have sinned; we have done things that were very wicked [DOU].
7 Awowayaashayo ma ay garan yaababkii aad dalka Masar ku samaysay. Oo ma ay xusuusan badnaantii naxariistaada, Laakiinse way ku ag caasiyoobeen badda, taas oo ah Badda Cas.
When our ancestors were in Egypt, they did not pay attention to the wonderful things that Yahweh did; they forgot about the many times that he showed that he faithfully loved them. Instead, when they were at the Red Sea, they rebelled against God, who is greater than any other god.
8 Habase yeeshee wuxuu iyagii u badbaadiyey magiciisa daraaddiis, Inuu xooggiisa weyn ka dhigo mid la yaqaan.
But he rescued them for the sake of his own [reputation] in order that he could show that he is very powerful.
9 Oo weliba Badda Cas ayuu canaantay, kolkaasay engegtay, Sidaas daraaddeed wuxuu iyagii ku hor kacay moolka dhexdiisii sidii iyagoo maraya cidlada dhexdeeda.
He rebuked the Red Sea and it became dry, and [then] while he led our ancestors across it, they walked through it as though it were as dry as a desert [SIM].
10 Oo wuxuu iyagii ka badbaadiyey kii iyaga necbaa gacantiisii, Oo wuxuu ka furtay gacantii cadowga.
In that way he rescued them from the power [MTY] of their enemies who hated them [DOU].
11 Biyihiina waxay qariyeen cadaawayaashoodii. Xataa mid qudhahu kama hadhin.
[Then] their enemies were drowned in the water [of the Red Sea]; not one of them was left.
12 Markaasay rumaysteen erayadiisii, Oo ammaantiisay ku gabyeen.
When that happened, our ancestors believed [that Yahweh had truly done for them] what he had promised to do, and they sang to praise him.
13 Haddiiba way illoobeen shuqulladiisii, Oo taladiisiina ma ay sugin,
But they soon forgot what he had done for them; they [did things] without waiting to find out what Yahweh wanted them to do.
14 Laakiinse aad bay wax u damacsanaayeen intay cidladii dhex joogeen, Oo Ilaahna way ku jirrabeen lamadegaanka dhexdiisa.
They intensely wanted [food like they formerly ate in Egypt]. They [did evil things to] find out [if they could do those things without God punishing them].
15 Oo isna wuxuu siiyey wixii ay weyddiisteen, Laakiinse wuxuu naftoodii u soo diray caatow.
[So] he gave them what they requested, but he [also] caused a terrible disease to afflict them.
16 Oo weliba waxay xerada dhexdeedii kaga hinaaseen Muuse Iyo Haaruun oo ahaa Rabbiga kiisii quduuska ahaa.
[Later] when [some of] the men became jealous of Moses and [his older brother] Aaron, who was dedicated [to serve Yahweh by being a priest],
17 Oo dhulkiina waa kala furmay oo wuxuu liqay Daataan, Oo weliba wuxuu qariyey Abiiraam guutadiisii.
the ground opened up and swallowed Dathan and [also] buried Abiram and his family.
18 Oo guutadoodiina dab baa ka dhex shidmay, Ololkiina wuxuu wada gubay kuwii shar lahaa.
And [God sent] a fire down [from heaven] which burned up [all] the wicked [people who (supported them/agreed with) them].
19 Waxay samaysteen weyl markii ay Xoreeb joogeen, Oo waxay caabudeen sanam la shubay.
Then the [Israeli leaders] made a gold statue at Sinai [Mountain] and worshiped it.
20 Oo sidaasay ammaantoodii ugu beddeleen Dibi caws daaqa ekaantiis.
Instead of worshiping [our] glorious God, they [started to] worship a statue of a bull that eats grass!
21 Waxay illoobeen Ilaahii Badbaadiyahooda ahaa, Oo waxyaalo waaweyn ku sameeyey dalkii Masar,
They forgot about God, who had rescued them by the great miracles that he performed in Egypt.
22 Shuqullo yaab badanna ku sameeyey dalkii Xaam, Waxyaalo cabsi badanna ku sameeyey Badda Cas agteeda.
They forgot about the wonderful things that he did for them in Egypt and the amazing/awesome things that he did for them at the Red Sea.
23 Sidaas daraaddeed isagu wuxuu yidhi, Waan baabbi'inayaa. Laakiinse Muuse oo ahaa kii uu doortay ayaa hortiisa u istaagay xidhiidhla'aantii u dhexaysay, Inuu Ilaah cadhadiisa ka leexiyo aawadeed si aanu iyaga u baabbi'in.
Because of that, God said that he would get rid of the Israelis, but Moses, whom God had chosen [to serve him], pleaded with God [not to get rid of them]. And as a result God did not destroy them.
24 Waxay quudhsadeen dalkii wacnaa, Mana ay rumaysan eraygiisii,
[Later], our ancestors (refused/were afraid) to enter beautiful [Canaan] land because they did not believe [that God would enable them to take the land from the people who were living there, as] he had promised.
25 Laakiinse teendhooyinkooday ku dhex gunuunaceen, Mana ay dhegaysan codkii Rabbiga.
They stayed in their tents and grumbled and would not pay attention to what Yahweh said that they should do.
26 Sidaas daraaddeed gacantiisuu kor ugu taagay iyaga, Oo wuxuu ku dhaartay inuu iyaga cidladii ku afgembiyo,
So he solemnly [MTY] told them that he would cause them to die [there] in the desert,
27 Iyo inuu farcankooda ku afgembiyo quruumaha dhexdooda, Oo uu iyaga ku kala firdhiyo dalalka.
and that he would scatter their descendants among the [people of other] nations/people-groups [who did not believe in him], and that he would allow them to die in those lands.
28 Oo weliba waxay isku dareen Bacal Fecoor, Oo waxay cuneen allabarigii kuwii dhintay.
Later the Israeli people [started to] worship [the idol of] Baal [who they thought lived] at Peor [Mountain], and they ate [meat that had been] sacrificed to [Baal and those other] lifeless gods.
29 Sidaasay isaga shuqulladoodii ugaga xanaajiyeen, Markaasay belaayadu ka dhex dillacday.
Yahweh became [very] angry because of what they had done, [so again] he sent a terrible disease to attack/strike them.
30 Markaasaa waxaa istaagay Fiinexaas, oo wuxuu ku soo dejiyey xukun, Oo sidaasaa belaayada lagu joojiyey.
But Phinehas stood up and punished/killed [the ones who had sinned greatly], and as a result the (plague/serious disease) ended.
31 Oo taas waxaa isagii loogu tiriyey xaqnimo U sii waaraysa qarni kasta iyo weligeedba.
People have remembered that righteous thing that Phinehas did, and in future years people will remember it.
32 Oo weliba waxay isagii kaga cadhaysiiyeen biyihii Meriibaah agtooda, Sidaas daraaddeed dhib baa ku dhacday Muuse iyaga aawadood,
[Then] at Meribah Springs our ancestors caused Yahweh to become angry, and as a result Moses had trouble.
33 Maxaa yeelay, iyagu waxay ku caasiyoobeen ruuxiisii, Kolkaasuu fiirola'aan u hadlay.
They caused Moses to become very angry [IDM], and he said things that were foolish.
34 Dadyowgiina uma ay baabbi'in, Sidii Rabbigu ugu amray iyaga,
Our ancestors did not destroy the people [who did not believe in Yahweh] like he told them to do.
35 Laakiinse iyagu waxay ku dhex qasmeen quruumihii, Shuqulladoodiina way barteen,
Instead, they mingled with people from those people-groups, and they started to do the evil things that those people did.
36 Oo waxay u adeegeen sanamyadoodii, Kuwaasoo iyaga dabin u noqday,
Our ancestors worshiped the idols of those people, which resulted in their being destroyed/exiled/taken to another country [MET].
37 Haah, oo waxay wiilashoodii iyo gabdhahoodii allabari ahaan ugu qaleen jinniyo,
[Some of] the Israelis sacrificed their sons and daughters to the demons [that those idols represented].
38 Oo waxay daadiyeen dhiig aan eed lahayn, kaasoo ah dhiiggii wiilashooda iyo kii gabdhahooda Oo ay allabari ahaan ugu qaleen sanamyadii reer Kancaan, Oo dalkiina wuxuu ku nijaasoobay dhiig.
They killed [MTY] their own children, who (were innocent/had not done things that were wrong), and offered them as sacrifices to the idols in Canaan. [As a result], Canaan land was polluted by those murders [MTY].
39 Haddaba sidaasay shuqulladoodii ugu nijaasoobeen, Oo falimahoodii ayay ku caasiyoobeen sidii dhillo oo kale.
So by their deeds they caused themselves to become unacceptable to God; [because they did not faithfully worship only God], [they became like] women who sleep with other men [instead of sleeping only with their husbands] [MET].
40 Sidaas daraaddeed ayaa Rabbigu dadkiisii aad ugu cadhooday, Oo isna wuxuu karhay dadkii dhaxalkiisii ahaa.
So Yahweh became very angry with his people; he was completely disgusted with them.
41 Oo wuxuu iyagii u gacangeliyey quruumaha, Oo kuwii iyaga necbaa ayaa u taliyey.
[As a result] he allowed people-groups [who did not believe in him] to conquer them, so those who hated our ancestors started to rule over them.
42 Oo weliba cadaawayaashoodii ayaa dulmay, Oo iyagoo gacantooda ka hooseeya ayay addoonsadeen.
Their enemies (oppressed them/treated them cruelly) and completely controlled them [MET].
43 Marar badan ayuu samatabbixiyey, Laakiinse waxay ku caasiyoobeen taladoodii, Oo waxaa lagu hoosaysiiyey dembigoodii.
Many times Yahweh rescued them, but they continued to rebel against him, and they were finally destroyed because of the sins that they committed.
44 Habase yeeshee isagu waa ka fiirsaday cidhiidhigoodii, Markuu qayladoodii maqlay,
However, Yahweh [always] heard them when they cried out to him; he listened to them when they were distressed.
45 Oo wuxuu iyagii u soo xusuustay axdigiisii, Kolkaasuu naxariistiisa badan aawadeed u qoomamooday.
For their sake, he thought about the agreement/promise that he had made [to bless] them, and because he never stopped loving them very much, he changed his mind [about punishing them more].
46 Oo weliba wuxuu ka dhigay inay Kuwii iyaga maxaabiis ahaanta u kaxaystay oo dhammu u naxaan.
He caused all those who had taken the Israelis [to Babylonia] to (feel sorry for/pity) them.
47 Rabbiyow Ilaahayagow, na badbaadi, Oo quruumaha naga soo dhex ururi, Si aannu magacaaga quduuska ah ugu mahadnaqno, Oo aannu ammaantaada ugu guulaysanno.
Yahweh our God, rescue/save us and bring us back [to Israel] from among those people-groups in order that we may thank you [MTY] and joyfully praise you.
48 Waxaa mahad leh Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil Tan iyo weligiis iyo weligiisba. Oo dadka oo dhammu ha yidhaahdo, Aamiin. Rabbiga ammaana.
Praise Yahweh, the God whom [we] Israelis [worship], praise him now and forever! And I want everyone to say, “Amen/May it be so!” Praise Yahweh!
