1 Rabbiga ku mahadnaqa, oo magiciisa ku barya, Falimihiisana dadyowga ka dhex sheega.
Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his Name, Make known, among the peoples, his doings;
2 Isaga u gabya, oo ammaan ugu gabya, Shuqulladiisa yaabka badan oo dhanna ka hadla.
Sing ye to him, Make ye music to him, Speak ye of all his wonders.
3 Ku faana magiciisa quduuska ah, Kuwa Rabbiga doondoona qalbigoodu ha reyreeyo.
Make your boast in his holy Name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.
4 Rabbiga iyo xooggiisa doondoona, Oo weligiinba wejigiisa doondoona.
Search out Yahweh and his strength, Seek diligently his face at all times.
5 Xusuusta shuqulladiisii yaabka badnaa oo uu sameeyey, Iyo cajaa'ibyadiisii iyo xukummadii afkiisa,
Remember his wonders which he hath done, His portents, and the just decisions of his mouth.
6 Kuwiinna farcankii addoonkiisii Ibraahim ahow, Kuwiisa uu doortay oo reer Yacquub ahow.
O ye Seed of Abraham—his servants, Sons of Jacob—his chosen ones:
7 Isagu waa Rabbiga Ilaaheenna ah, Xukummadiisuna waxay ku jiraan dhulka oo dhan.
Yahweh himself, is our God, Through all the land, are his just decision.
8 Axdigiisuu soo xusuustay weligiisba, Kaasoo ah hadalkiisii uu kun farcan ku amray,
He hath remembered, unto times age-abiding, his covenant, The word he commanded, to a thousand generations;
9 Kaasu waa axdigii uu Ibraahim la dhigtay, Oo uu Isxaaq ugu dhaartay,
Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;
10 Oo isla kaas wuxuu u adkeeyey oo qaynuun uga dhigay Yacquub, Oo Israa'iilna wuxuu uga dhigay axdi weligiis jiraya,
And confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel, as a covenant age-abiding;
11 Oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Dalka Kancaan waxaan kuu siinayaa Inuu ahaado qaybtii dhaxalkiinna,
Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, As your inherited portion;
12 Markay dad tiro yar ahaayeen, Oo ay aad u yaraayeen, qariibna dalka ku ahaayeen,
While as yet they were men easily counted, —A very few, and sojourners therein;
13 Oo iyagu quruunba quruun bay uga bexeen, Oo intay boqortooyo ka tageen ayay dad kale u gudbeen.
And they wandered from nation to nation, From a kingdom, to another people.
14 Isagu ninna uma oggolaanin inuu wax yeelo, Haah, oo daraaddood ayuu boqorro u canaantay,
He suffered no son of earth to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—[even] kings!
15 Oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Ha taabanina kuwayga subkan, Oo nebiyadaydana waxba ha yeelina.
Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.
16 Dhulkiina abaar buu ugu yeedhay inay ku dhacdo, Ushii cuntada oo ay ku tiirsanaayeen oo dhanna wuu wada jebiyey.
Then called he a famine over the land, All the staff of bread, he brake;
17 Oo nin buu iyaga ka sii hor diray, Kaas oo ahaa Yuusuf oo loo iibiyey addoon ahaan.
He sent before them a man, For a slave, was he sold—[even] Joseph;
18 Cagihiisii waxay ku xanuujiyeen bircago, Oo naftiisii waxay gashay silsilado bir ah,
They forced, into a fetter, his foot, Into the iron, entered his soul;
19 Ilaa wakhtigii eraygiisu noqday Eraygii Rabbiga ayaa isaga tijaabiyey.
Until the time when his word came to pass, Speech of Yahweh, proved him;
20 Markaasaa boqorkii u cid diray oo furay, Kaas oo ahaa taliyihii dadyowga, wuuna sii daayay.
The king sent, and set him free, One having dominion over peoples, yet loosed he his bonds;
21 Oo wuxuu isagii ka dhigay sayidkii reerkiisa, Iyo taliyihii maalkiisa oo dhan,
He appointed him lord to his household, And one having dominion over all he possessed;
22 Inuu amiirradiisa xidho markuu doonayoba, Oo uu odayaashiisana xigmad baro.
That he might bind his rulers as he pleased, And, his elders, he might embue with wisdom.
23 Israa'iilna wuxuu yimid dalkii Masar, Yacquubna wuxuu qariib ahaan u joogay dalkii Xaam.
So Israel came into Egypt, And, Jacob, sojourned in the land of Ham;
24 Oo isagu dadkiisii aad buu u badiyey, Oo wuxuu ka dhigay inay ka xoog bataan cadaawayaashoodii.
And he made his people exceeding fruitful, —And caused them to become stronger than their adversaries.
25 Qalbigoodii wuxuu u beddelay si ay dadkiisa u nebcaadaan, Iyo si ay addoommadiisa u khiyaaneeyaan.
He let them turn their heart—To hate his people, To deal treacherously with his servants;
26 Wuxuu u soo diray addoonkiisii Muuse, Iyo Haaruun oo uu doortay.
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 Oo waxay dhexdooda ku sameeyeen calaamooyinkiisii, Oo dalkii Xaamna waxay ku sameeyeen yaabab.
He set among them his threatening signs, And his wonders, in the land of Ham;
28 Wuxuu u soo diray gudcur, dalkiina gudcur buu ka dhigay, Oo iyana hadalkiisii kuma ay caasiyoobin.
He sent darkness, and made it dark, But they rebelled against his words;
29 Biyahoodii wuxuu u beddelay dhiig, Oo kalluunkoodiina wuu wada laayay.
He turned their waters into blood, And so caused their fish to die;
30 Rahyo waa ku bateen dhulkoodii Iyo qolalka boqorkoodiiba.
Their land swarmed with frogs, In the chambers of their kings!
31 Isagu waa hadlay, markaasaa waddankoodii oo dhan Waxaa yimid duqsi faro badan iyo injir.
He spake, and there came in the gad-fly, Gnats, in all their bounds;
32 Oo roob ahaan wuxuu u siiyey roob dhagaxyaale, Dalkoodiina wuxuu ku soo daayay dab ololaya.
He made their showers—hail, A fire flaming throughout their land;
33 Wuxuu wax ku dhuftay geedahoodii canabka ahaa iyo geedahoodii berdaha ahaaba, Oo dhirtii waddankooda ku tiilna wuu jejebiyey.
And he smote their vines, and their fig-trees, And brake in pieces the trees of their bounds;
34 Wuu hadlay, markaasaa waxaa yimid ayax, Iyo diir aan la tirin karin,
He spake—then came the swarming locust, —The devouring locust, and that without number;
35 Oo waxay wada cuneen geedo yaryar oo kasta oo dalkooda ku yiil, Wayna dhammaysteen midhihii dhulkooda.
And devoured all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 Oo weliba wuxuu wada laayay curadyadii dalkooda oo dhan, Kuwaas oo ahaa bilowgii xooggooda.
Then smote he every firstborn in their land, The beginning of all their strength;
37 Oo wuxuu dibadda u bixiyey reer binu Israa'iil iyagoo wata lacag iyo dahab, Oo qabiilooyinkiisiina mid taagdarani kuma uu jirin.
Thus brought he them forth, with silver and gold, Nor was there, throughout his tribes, one that faltered;
38 Reer Masarna way ku farxeen kolkay ambabbexeen, Waayo, cabsidoodii baa ku dhacday.
Egypt rejoiced when they went out, For the dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 Wuxuu korkooda ku kala bixiyey daruur inay qariso, Iyo dab habeenkii iftiin u noqda.
He spread out a cloud as a covering, And fire, to give light by night,
40 Wax bay weyddiisteen, markaasuu u keenay digaag duur, Oo wuxuu ka dhergiyey kibistii samada.
They asked, and he brought in the quail, —And, with the bread of the heavens, he satisfied them;
41 Dhagaxii ayuu dillaaciyey, markaasay biyo ka soo buqdeen, Oo meelihii engegnaa ayay ku durdureen sidii webi oo kale.
He opened the rock, and there gushed forth waters, They flowed along, through parched places, as a river;
42 Waayo, wuxuu soo xusuustay eraygiisii quduuska ahaa, Oo uu kula hadlay addoonkiisii Ibraahim.
For he remembered his holy word, With Abraham his servant.
43 Dadkiisiina wuxuu soo bixiyey iyagoo faraxsan, Kuwii uu doortayna iyagoo gabyaya.
Thus brought he forth his people with gladness, —With shouts of triumph, his chosen ones;
44 Oo wuxuu iyagii siiyey dalalkii quruumaha, Oo iyana waxay hanti ahaan u qaadeen waxay dadyowgu ku hawshoodeen,
And gave them, the lands of the nations, And, of the toil of the peoples, took they possession:
45 Inay amarradiisa dhawraan, Oo ay qaynuunnadiisa xajiyaan. Rabbiga ammaana.
In order that they might observe his statutes, And, over his laws, might keep watch, Praise ye Yah.
