< Maahmaahyadii 9 >
1 Xigmaddu gurigeeday dhisatay, Toddobadeedii tiirna way xaradhay.
Wisdom hath built herself a house, she hath hewn her out seven pillars.
2 Neefafkeedii ayay qashay, oo waxay isku dartay khamrigeedii; Miiskeediina way diyaarisay.
She hath slain her victims, mingled her wine, and set forth her table.
3 Oo gabdhaheedii midiidinnada ahaa ayay dirtay, oo waxay ka qaylinaysaa Magaalada meelaha ugu sarreeya, iyadoo leh,
She hath sent her maids to invite to the tower, and to the walls of the city:
4 Ku alla kii garaaddaranu, halkan ha u soo leexdo. Oo kii waxgarasho u baahanna waxay ku leedahay,
Whosoever is a little one, let him come to me. And to the unwise she said:
5 Kaalaya oo kibistayda wax ka cuna, Oo khamriga aan isku darayna wax ka cabba.
Come, eat my bread, and drink the wine which I have mingled for you.
6 Garaadlaawayaashow, nacasnimada iska daaya, oo noolaada, Oo jidka waxgarashadana mara.
Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence.
7 Kii mid wax quudhsada toosiyaa, cay buu isu soo jiidaa, Oo kii kan sharka leh canaantana, ceeb baa ku dhacda.
He that teacheth a scorner, doth an injury to himself: and he that rebuketh a wicked man, getteth himself a blot.
8 Mid wax quudhsada ha canaanan, waaba intaas oo uu ku necbaadaaye, Nin caqli leh canaano, oo isna wuu ku jeclaan doonaa.
Rebuke not a scorner lest he hate thee. Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9 Nin caqli leh wax bar, oo isna caqli wuu sii yeelan doonaa. Nin xaq ah wax bar, oo isna waxbarasho wuu sii korodhsan doonaa.
Give an occasion to a wise man, and wisdom shall be added to him. Teach a just man, and he shall make haste to receive it.
10 Rabbiga in laga cabsado waa xigmadda bilowgeeda, Oo Kan quduuska ah in la aqoonsadona waa waxgarasho.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence.
11 Waayo, maalmahaagu anigay igu badan doonaan, Oo cimrigaaguna waa sii kordhi doonaa.
For by me shall thy days be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee.
12 Haddaad caqli leedahay naftaadaad caqli u leedahay, Laakiinse haddaad wax quudhsato, adiga uun baa waxquudhsashadaada xambaaran doona.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be so to thyself: and if a scorner, thou alone shalt bear the evil.
13 Naagta nacasadda ahu waa qaylo badan tahay, Iyadu way garaaddaran tahay, oo waxba ma taqaan.
A foolish woman and clamorous, and full of allurements, and knowing nothing at all,
14 Waayo, waxay fadhiisataa illinka gurigeeda, Oo kursi bay ku fadhiisataa meelaha sarsare ee magaalada,
Sat at the door of her house, upon a seat, in a high place of the city,
15 Inay u yeedho kuwa jidka maraya, Iyagoo jidadkooda iska sii soconaya,
To call them that pass by the way, and go on their journey:
16 Ku alla kii garaaddaranu halkan ha u soo leexdo, Oo kii waxgarasho u baahanna waxay ku leedahay,
He that is a little one, let him turn to me. And to the fool she said:
17 Biyo la soo xaday way macaan yihiin. Oo cunto qarsoodi loo cunaana wax bay ka farxisaa.
Stolen waters are sweeter, and hid den bread is more pleasant.
18 Laakiinse isagu garan maayo in kuwii dhintay ay halkaas joogaan, Iyo in martideedii ay She'ool guntiisa ku jiraan. (Sheol )
And he did not know that giants are there, and that her guests are in the depths of hell. (Sheol )
