1 Kii inta wax badan la canaanto ka madax adkaadaa, Dhaqso buu u jabi doonaa, dawona ma leh.
A man that, having received many admonitions, still hardeneth his neck, will suddenly be broken, and this without remedy.
2 Markii kuwa xaqa ahu amarka haystaan, dadku wuu reyreeyaa, Laakiinse markii kuwa sharka lahu xukunka wataan, dadku wuu taahaa.
When the righteous are in authority, the people will rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people groan.
3 Kii xigmad jecelu aabbihiisuu ka farxiyaa, Laakiinse kii dhillooyin raacaa maalkiisuu khasaariyaa.
The man that loveth wisdom causeth his father to rejoice; but he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth [his] wealth.
4 Boqorku gar buu dalka ku dhisaa, Laakiinse kii laaluush jecelu wuu dumiyaa.
A king will through the exercise of justice establish [the welfare of] a land; but one that loveth gifts overthroweth it.
5 Ninkii deriskiisa faaniyaa Shabag dabin ah ayuu cagihiisa hor dhigaa.
A man that flattereth his neighbor spreadeth a net for his steps.
6 Ninkii shar ah xadgudubkiisa waxaa ku jira dabin, Laakiinse kii xaq ahu waa iska heesaa oo reyreeyaa.
In the transgression of a man there is an evil snare: but the righteous ever singeth and rejoiceth.
7 Kii xaq ahu wuxuu ka war hayaa dacwadda masaakiinta, Laakiinse kii shar ahu ma yaqaan aqoontaas.
The righteous considereth the cause of the indigent: but the wicked will not understand the knowledge [of justice].
8 Kuwa wax quudhsadaa magaalay dab qabadsiiyaan, Laakiinse kuwa caqliga lahu cadhay qabowjiyaan.
Scornful men will kindle [confusion] in a town; but the wise turn away wrath.
9 Haddii nin caqli leh nin nacas ah la doodo, Nasasho ma jirto hadduu cadhoodo iyo hadduu qosloba.
If a wise man contend with a foolish man, whether he be angry or whether he laugh, [he will have] no rest.
10 Dhiigyocabyadu kii kaamil ah way neceb yihiin, Laakiinse kuwa qumman waxay doondoonaan inay naftiisa badbaadshaan.
Men of blood hate the guiltless one; but the upright seek [to preserve] his life.
11 Nacasku cadhadiisa oo dhan buu soo saaraa, Laakiinse kii caqli lahu dib buu u ceshadaa, wuuna aamusnaadaa.
A fool uttereth all his mind; but the wise holdeth it back.
12 Haddii taliye been dhegaysto, Midiidinyadiisa oo dhammu waa wada shar miidhan.
If a ruler listen to the word of falsehood, all his servants become wicked.
13 Miskiinka iyo khaayinku way wada kulmaan, Oo labadoodaba Rabbigu indhahooduu iftiimiyaa.
The poor and the man of exactions meet together: the Lord enlighteneth the eyes of both of them.
14 Boqorkii daacadnimo masaakiinta ugu xukuma, Carshigiisu wuu dhisnaan doonaa weligiisba.
When a king judgeth in truth the indigent, his throne shall stand firmly for ever.
15 Usha iyo canaantu caqli bay keenaan, Laakiinse ilmihii layska daayaa ceeb buu hooyadiis u soo jiidaa.
The rod and reproof impart wisdom; but a lad abandoned to himself bringeth shame on his mother.
16 Markii kuwa sharka lahu bataan, xadgudub baa sii kordha, Laakiinse kuwa xaqa ah ayaa dhiciddooda arki doona.
With the increase of the wicked transgression increaseth; but the righteous shall yet look on their downfall.
17 Wiilkaaga edbi, oo isna wuu ku nasin doonaa, Haah, naftaada wuu ka farxin doonaa.
Correct thy son, and he will procure thee rest: yea, he will give delight unto thy soul.
18 Markii aan muujinu jirin dadku waa halligmaa, Laakiinse kii sharciga dhawraa waa barakaysan yahay.
Without a prophetic vision a people become unruly; but when it observeth the law, then will it be happy.
19 Addoon hadal kuma edeb yeesho, Waayo, in kastoo uu garanayo ka jawaabi maayo.
Not with words [alone] can a servant be corrected; for though he understand, there will be no response.
20 Ma aragtay nin hadalkiisa ku degdega? Kaas waxaa ka rajo roon nacas.
Seest then a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope for a fool than for him.
21 Kii addoonkiisa si wanaagsan u soo koriya tan iyo yaraantiisa, Ugu dambaysta wiil buu u noqon doonaa.
If one rear his servant delicately from his youth, then will he at length become as [his] son.
22 Ninkii xanaaq badanu muran buu kiciyaa. Ninkii cadho kululuna xadgudub buu badsadaa.
A man of anger stirreth up strife; and a man of fury aboundeth in transgression.
23 Nin kibirkiisu hoos buu u dejin doonaa, Laakiinse kii is-hoosaysiiyaa sharaf buu heli doonaa.
The pride of a man will humble him; but the humble in spirit will attain to honor.
24 Ku alla kii tuug la shirkoobaa naftiisuu nacaa, Habaarkuu maqlaa, laakiinse waxba kama sheego.
Whoso divideth with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth the adjuration and dareth not to tell.
25 Dadka ka cabsashadiisu wax bay dabtaa, Laakiinse kii Rabbiga isku halleeyaa wuu nabad geli doonaa.
The dread of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord will be upheld in safety.
26 Kuwo badan baa taliyaha raallinimo ka doona, Laakiinse dadka garsooriddiisu waxay ka timaadaa xagga Rabbiga.
Many seek the favor of a ruler; but from the Lord cometh justice for man.
27 Ninkii xaqdaranu waa u karaahiyo kuwa xaqa ah, Oo kii jidka ku qummanuna waa u karaahiyo kii shar ah.
An abomination of the righteous is an unjust man: and an abomination of the wicked is one who is upright in [his] way.
