< Maahmaahyadii 11 >
1 Kafaddii khiyaano ah Rabbigu aad buu u karhaa, Laakiinse dhagaxii miisaanka oo xaq ah wuu ku farxaa.
Scales of deceit are hated by the Lord, but a true weight is his delight.
2 Markuu kibir yimaado, waxaa timaada ceeb; Laakiinse xigmaddu waxay la jirtaa kuwa is-hoosaysiiya.
When pride comes, there comes shame, but wisdom is with the quiet in spirit.
3 Kuwa qumman waxaa kaxayn doonta daacadnimadooda, Laakiinse khaayinnada qalloocnaantoodu waa baabbi'in doontaa iyaga.
The righteousness of the upright will be their guide, but the twisted ways of the false will be their destruction.
4 Maalinta cadhada maal faa'iido ma leh, Laakiinse xaqnimada ayaa dhimasho kaa samatabbixisa.
Wealth is of no profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness keeps a man safe from death.
5 Ninkii kaamil ah xaqnimadiisu jidkiisay toosisaa, Laakiinse kan sharka lahu wuxuu ku kufi doonaa sharkiisa.
The righteousness of the good man will make his way straight, but the sin of the evil-doer will be the cause of his fall.
6 Kuwa qumman xaqnimadoodaa samatabbixin doonta, Laakiinse khaayinnada waxaa qabsan doona damacooda xun.
The righteousness of the upright will be their salvation, but the false will themselves be taken in their evil designs.
7 Nin shar lahu markuu dhinto, wuxuu filanayay way baabbi'i doontaa, Oo xumaanfalayaasha rajadooduna way baabba'daa.
At the death of an upright man his hope does not come to an end, but the hope of the evil-doer comes to destruction.
8 Kii xaq ah waxaa laga samatabbixiyaa dhibaato, Oo meeshiisana waxaa yimaada kii shar leh.
The upright man is taken out of trouble, and in his place comes the sinner.
9 Labawejiilahu afkiisuu deriskiisa ku halligaa, Laakiinse kan xaqa ahu aqoon buu ku samatabbixi doonaa.
With his mouth the evil man sends destruction on his neighbour; but through knowledge the upright are taken out of trouble.
10 Kuwa xaqa ahu markay barwaaqoobaan, magaaladu way rayraysaa, Laakiin kuwa sharka lahu markay halligmaan farax baa lagu dhawaaqaa.
When things go well for the upright man, all the town is glad; at the death of sinners, there are cries of joy.
11 Kuwa qumman ducadooda magaaladu sare bay ugu kacdaa, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh afkoodu magaaladuu dumiyaa.
By the blessing of the upright man the town is made great, but it is overturned by the mouth of the evil-doer.
12 Kii deriskiisa quudhsadaa waa caqli daranyahay, Laakiinse ninkii garaadka lahu wuu iska aamusaa.
He who has a poor opinion of his neighbour has no sense, but a wise man keeps quiet.
13 Kii sida mid xan badan u warwareegaa wuxuu daaha ka qaadaa waxyaalo qarsoon, Laakiinse kii ruuxiisu aamin yahay xaalkuu qariyaa.
He who goes about talking of others makes secrets public, but the true-hearted man keeps things covered.
14 Markaanay talo jirin, dadku waa dhacaa, Laakiinse taliyayaasha badnaantoodu waxay leedahay nabadgelyo.
When there is no helping suggestion the people will have a fall, but with a number of wise guides they will be safe.
15 Kii qof qalaad dammiintaa, xumaan buu ka helaa, Laakiinse kii dammiinashada necebu ammaan buu u fadhiyaa.
He who makes himself responsible for a strange man will undergo much loss; but the hater of such undertakings will be safe.
16 Naag nimcaysan sharaf bay haysataa, Oo niman xoog lahuna maal bay haystaan.
A woman who is full of grace is honoured, but a woman hating righteousness is a seat of shame: those hating work will undergo loss, but the strong keep their wealth.
17 Ninkii naxariis badanu naftiisuu wanaag u sameeyaa, Laakiinse kii aan naxariis lahaynu jidhkiisuu dhibaa.
The man who has mercy will be rewarded, but the cruel man is the cause of trouble to himself.
18 Kan sharka lahu wuxuu shaqaystaa mushahaaro khiyaano miidhan ah, Laakiinse kii xaqnimada beeraa wuxuu heli doonaa abaalgud la hubo.
The sinner gets the payment of deceit; but his reward is certain who puts in the seed of righteousness.
19 Xaqnimadu waxay u kacdaa xagga nolosha, Sidaas oo kalena kii sharka raacaa wuxuu u raacaa dhimashadiisa.
So righteousness gives life; but he who goes after evil gets death for himself.
20 Kuwa qalbigoodu qalloocan yahay Rabbigu aad buu u karhaa; Laakiinse kuwa jidkooda ku qumman wuu ku farxaa.
The uncontrolled are hated by the Lord, but those whose ways are without error are his delight
21 Waxaan aad idiinku xaqiijinayaa inaan kan sharka lahu taqsiirla'aan doonayn. Laakiinse farcanka kuwa xaqa ah waa la samatabbixin doonaa.
Certainly the evil-doer will not go free from punishment, but the seed of the upright man will be safe.
22 Naag qurux badan oo aan digtoonaan lahaynu Waa sida dahab gafuurka doofaarka ku jira.
Like a ring of gold in the nose of a pig, is a beautiful woman who has no sense.
23 Kuwa xaqa ah waxay doonayaan wanaag keliya, Laakiinse kuwa sharka ah filashadoodu waa cadho.
The desire of the upright man is only for good, but wrath is waiting for the evil-doer.
24 Waxaa jira mid wax firdhiya, oo haddana sii korodhsada; Oo waxaa jira mid ceshada wax ka sii badan in ku habboon, oo haddana sii caydhooba.
A man may give freely, and still his wealth will be increased; and another may keep back more than is right, but only comes to be in need.
25 Qofkii deeqsi ah baa la barwaaqaysiin doonaa, Oo kii wax waraabiyana, isna waa la waraabin doonaa.
He who gives blessing will be made fat, but the curser will himself be cursed.
26 Kii hadhuudh ceshada, dadka ayaa habaari doona, Laakiinse kii iibiya, duco ayaa ku dhici doonta.
He who keeps back grain will be cursed by the people; but a blessing will be on the head of him who lets them have it for a price.
27 Kii wanaag aad u doonaa wuxuu doonayaa raallinimo, Laakiinse kii xumaan doona, way u iman doontaa.
He who, with all his heart, goes after what is good is searching for grace; but he who is looking for trouble will get it.
28 Kii maalkiisa isku halleeyaa wuu dhici doonaa, Laakiinse kii xaq ahu wuxuu u barwaaqoobi doonaa sida caleen cagaar ah.
He who puts his faith in wealth will come to nothing; but the upright man will be full of growth like the green leaf.
29 Kii gurigiisa dhibaa dabayshu dhaxli doonaa, Oo nacaskuna wuxuu midiidin u ahaan doonaa kan qalbigiisu caqliga leeyahay.
The troubler of his house will have the wind for his heritage, and the foolish will be servant to the wise-hearted.
30 Kan xaqa ah midhihiisu waa geed nololeed, Oo kii nafo soo hanuuniyaana caqli buu leeyahay.
The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life, but violent behaviour takes away souls.
31 Bal eega, kan xaqa ahu abaalkiisuu dhulka ku heli doonaa, Haddaba immisa abaalgud oo ka sii badan bay heli doonaan kan sharka leh iyo dembiluhu.
If the upright man is rewarded on earth, how much more the evil-doer and the sinner!
