Luukos 21

for all of these, out of their superfluous store, have thrown into the sacred chest, she has thrown in all the little that she had.

Some having remarked, that the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and presents, he said,

But when you shall hear of wars and insurrections, be not terrified: for these things must first happen; but the end will not immediately follow.

And there shall be great earthquakes in sundry places, and famines, and pestilences; there shall be also frightful appearances, and great prodigies in the sky.

Be, therefore, resolved not to premeditate what defense you shall make;

for I will give you an utterance, and wisdom, which none of your adversaries shall be able to refute or resist.

And you shall be given up even by parents, and brothers, and kinsmen, and friends; and some of you will be put to death.

And, on my account, you shall be universally hated.
18 Tinna madaxiinna kama lumi doono.
Yet not a hair of your head shall be lost.
19 Waa inaad naftiinna ku haysataan dulqaadashadiinna.
Save your souls by your perseverance.
20 Laakiin goortaad aragtaan Yeruusaalem oo colal ku wareegsan yihiin, markaas ogaada in hallaynteedu dhow dahay.
Now, when you shall see Jerusalem invested with armies, know that its desolation is nigh.
21 Markaas kuwa Yahuudiya joogaa buuraha ha u carareen, kuwa gudaheeda ku jiraana ha ka baxeen, kuwa beeraha joogaana yaanay gelin.
Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains; let those in the city make their escape, and let not those in the country enter the city:

for these will be days of vengeance, in which all the denunciations of the scriptures shall be accomplished.

But, alas, for the women with child, and for them who give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 Waxayna ku dhici doonaan seef afkeeda, oo waa la qabsan doonaa, oo quruumaha oo dhan la geeyn doonaa; quruumuhuna Yeruusaalem ayay ku tuman doonaan ilaa wakhtiga quruumuhu ka dhammaado.
They shall fall by the sword; they shall be carried captive into all nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be over.
25 Calaamooyin ayaa laga arki doonaa qorraxda, iyo dayaxa, iyo xiddigaha; dhulkana waxaa ku jiri doona dhib quruumahu ka welwelaan guuxa badda iyo hirarka aawadood.
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth, the anguish of desponding nations; and roarings in the seas, and floods;
26 Dadkuna waxay la suuxi doonaan baqdin iyo filasho waxa dunida iman doona, waayo, xoogagga cirka ayaa la gariirin doonaa.
men expiring with the fear and apprehension of those things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 Markaasay arki doonaan Wiilka Aadanaha oo daruur ku imanaya, isagoo leh xoog iyo ammaan weyn.
Then they shall see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with great glory and power.
28 Laakiin goortii ay waxaasu bilaabaan inay dhacaan, kor eega, madaxyadiinnana kor u qaada, waayo, madaxfurashadiinnu waa dhow dahay.
Now when these things begin to be fulfilled, look up, and lift up your heads; because your deliverance approaches.
29 Markaasuu masaal kula hadlay, Bal eega berdaha iyo dhirta oo dhan;
He proposed to them, also, this comparison: Consider the fig tree, and the other trees.
30 goortay caleemo bixiyaan waad arkaysaan oo garanaysaan inuu roobku haddaba dhow yahay.
When you observe them shooting forth, you know, of yourselves, that the summer is nigh.
31 Sidaas oo kale idinkuna goortaad aragtaan waxaas oo dhacaya, garta in boqortooyadii Ilaah dhow dahay.
Know, in like manner, when you shall see these events, that the Reign of God is nigh.
32 Runtii waxaan idinku leeyahay, Qarniganu ma idlaan doono intaanay wax walba dhicin.
Indeed, I say to you, that this race shall not fail until all be accomplished.
33 Cirka iyo dhulku waa idlaan doonaan, laakiinse ereyadaydu ma idlaan doonaan.
Heaven and earth shall fail; but my words shall not fail.
34 Laakiin iska jira, yaan qalbiyadiinnu la cuslaan dhereg badan iyo sakhraannimo iyo ka welwelidda ifkan, oo yaan maalintaasu idiin soo kedin sida dabin oo kale.
Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, lest your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and worldly cares, and that day come upon you unawares: for, as a net,
35 Waayo, sidaas oo kale ayaa ku dhacaysa kulli kuwa dunida oo dhan jooga.
it shall inclose all the inhabitants of the earth.
36 Laakiin wakhti walbaba soo jeeda, idinkoo Ilaah baryaya inaad xoog yeelataan si aad uga baxsataan waxaas dhici doonaa oo dhan, oo aad Wiilka Aadanaha isu hor taagtaan.
Be vigilant, therefore, praying on every occasion, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these approaching evils, and to stand before the Son of Man.

Thus Jesus taught in the temple by day, but retired at night to the mountain, called the Mount of Olives.

And every morning the people resorted early to the temple to hear him.
