1 Oo raggii reer Efrayimna way is-urursadeen, oo waxay u gudbeen xagga woqooyi, oo waxay Yeftaah ku yidhaahdeen, Reer Cammoon inaad la dirirto intaad u soo gudubtay, maxaad noogu yeedhi weyday aannu ku raacnee? Gurigaagaannu kugu dul gubi doonnaa.
Now the men of Ephraim came together and took up arms and went over to Zaphon; and they said to Jephthah, Why did you go over to make war against the children of Ammon without sending for us to go with you? Now we will put your house on fire over you.
2 Yeftaahna wuxuu ku yidhi, Aniga iyo dadkayguba dagaal weyn baannu kula jirnay reer Cammoon, oo markaan idiin yeedhay igama aydnaan badbaadin gacantoodii.
And Jephthah said to them, I and my people were in danger, and the children of Ammon were very cruel to us, and when I sent for you, you gave me no help against them.
3 Oo markaan arkay inaydnaan i badbaadinayn ayaan naftayda biimeeyey, oo waxaan u gudbay reer Cammoon, oo Rabbigu gacantayduu soo geliyey. Haddaba maxaad maanta iigu timaadeen inaad ila dirirtaan?
So when I saw that there was no help to be had from you, I put my life in my hand and went over against the children of Ammon, and the Lord gave them into my hands: why then have you come up to me this day to make war on me?
4 Markaasuu Yeftaah soo urursaday raggii reer Gilecaad oo dhan, oo wuxuu la diriray reer Efrayim; oo reer Gilecaadna way laayeen reer Efrayim, maxaa yeelay, waxay yidhaahdeen, Idinku fakad baad tihiin kuwiinnan reer Gilecaad oo ku dhex jira reer Efrayim iyo reer Manaseh.
Then Jephthah got together all the men of Gilead and made war on Ephraim; and the men of Gilead overcame Ephraim.
5 Oo reer Gilecaadna waxay qabsadeen meelihii Webi Urdun laga gudbi jiray oo xagga reer Efrayim ahaa; oo markuu mid reer Efrayim ah oo cararay yidhaahdo, I daaya aan gudbee, waxaa dhici jirtay inay reer Gilecaad ku odhan jireen, Ma reer Efrayim baad tahay? Oo hadduu yidhaahdo, Maya,
And the Gileadites took the crossing-places of Jordan against the Ephraimites; and when any of the men of Ephraim who had gone in flight said, let me go over; the men of Gilead said to him, Are you an Ephraimite? And if he said, No;
6 waxay ku odhan jireen, Bal waxaad tidhaahdaa Shibboled, markaasuu odhan jiray, Sibboled, waayo, taas odhaahdeeda qummaati uma uu odhan karin; markaasay intay qabsadaan ku dili jireen meelihii Webi Urdun laga gudbi jiray; oo wakhtigaas waxaa reer Efrayim ka dhintay laba iyo afartan kun.
Then they said to him, Now say Shibboleth; and he said Sibboleth, and was not able to say it in the right way; then they took him and put him to death at the crossing-places of Jordan; and at that time forty-two thousand Ephraimites were put to death.
7 Oo Yeftaahna wuxuu reer binu Israa'iil xukumayay lix sannadood. Markaasuu Yeftaah oo ahaa reer Gilecaad dhintay, oo waxaa lagu aasay magaalooyinkii reer Gilecaad middood.
Now Jephthah was judge of Israel for six years. And Jephthah the Gileadite came to his death, and his body was put to rest in his town, Mizpeh of Gilead.
8 Isaga dabadiisna waxaa reer binu Israa'iil xukumi jiray Ibsaan oo ahaa reer Beytlaxam.
And after him, Ibzan of Beth-lehem was judge of Israel.
9 Oo wuxuu lahaa soddon wiil, oo soddon gabdhoodna wuu bixiyey, soddon gabdhoodna wiilashiisuu dibadda uga keenay. Oo isna reer binu Israa'iil wuxuu xukumayay toddoba sannadood.
He had thirty sons, and thirty daughters whom he sent to other places, and he got thirty wives from other places for his sons. And he was judge of Israel for seven years.
10 Markaasuu Ibsaan dhintay, oo waxaa lagu aasay Beytlaxam.
And Ibzan came to his death and his body was put to rest at Beth-lehem.
11 Dabadiisna waxaa reer binu Israa'iil xukumi jiray Eeloon oo ahaa reer Sebulun; oo isna wuxuu reer Israa'iil xukumayay toban sannadood.
And after him, Elon the Zebulonite was judge of Israel; and he was judge of Israel for ten years.
12 Oo Eeloon oo reer Sebulun ahaana wuu dhintay, oo waxaa lagu aasay Ayaaloon oo ku taal dalka reer Sebulun.
And Elon the Zebulonite came to his death, and his body was put to rest in Aijalon in the land of Zebulun.
13 Isaga dabadiisna waxaa reer binu Israa'iil xukumi jiray Cabdoon ina Hilleel oo ahaa reer Fircaatoon.
And after him, Abdon, the son of Hillel, the Pirathonite, was judge of Israel.
14 Oo isna wuxuu lahaa afartan wiil iyo soddon uu awowe u ahaa, oo fuuli jiray toddobaatan qayl dameer. Oo wuxuu reer binu Israa'iil xukumayay siddeed sannadood.
He had forty sons and thirty sons' sons who went on seventy young asses; and he was judge of Israel for eight years.
15 Oo Cabdoon ina Hilleel oo ahaa reer Fircaatoon wuu dhintay, oo waxaa lagu aasay Fircaatoon oo ku taal dalka reer Efrayim, kaasoo ahaa dalka buuraha leh oo reer Camaaleq.
And Abdon, the son of Hillel, came to his death, and his body was put to rest in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the hill-country of the Amalekites.
