1 Haddaba Yeftaah oo reer Gilecaad ahaa wuxuu ahaa nin xoog leh, oo wuxuuna ahaa dhillo wiilkeed. Yeftaahna waxaa dhalay Gilecaad.
Then Gilead begate Iphtah, and Iphtah the Gileadite was a valiant man, but the sonne of an harlot.
2 Oo Gilecaad naagtiisiina wiilal bay u dhashay, oo wiilashii naagtiisuna markay koreen ayay Yeftaah iska eryeen, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Reerka aabbeheen adigu nala dhaxli maysid; maxaa yeelay, naag kalaa ku dhashay.
And Gileads wife bare him sonnes, and when the womans children were come to age, they thrust out Iphtah, and sayd vnto him, Thou shalt not inherite in our fathers house: for thou art the sonne of a strange woman.
3 Markaasuu Yeftaah walaalihiis ka cararay, oo wuxuu degay dalkii Toob: markaasaa waxaa isku soo ururay ciyaalasuuq, oo iyana waxay raaceen Yeftaah.
Then Iphtah fledde from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there gathered idle fellowes to Iphtah, and went out with him.
4 Oo intii wakhti ah dabadeed ayay reer Cammoon la dirireen reer binu Israa'iil.
And in processe of time the children of Ammon made warre with Israel.
5 Oo markii reer Cammoon ay la dirireen reer binu Israa'iil ayaa odayaashii reer Gilecaad Yeftaah ka dooneen dalkii Toob;
And when the children of Ammon fought with Israel, the Elders of Gilead went to fet Iphtah out of the land of Tob.
6 oo waxay Yeftaah ku yidhaahdeen, Kaalay oo madax noo noqo, aynu reer Cammoon la dirirnee.
And they saide vnto Iphtah, Come and be our captaine, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.
7 Markaasuu Yeftaah odayaashii reer Gilecaad ku yidhi, War sow ima aydnaan nebcayn oo igama aydnaan eryin reerkii aabbahay? Maxaad haatan iigu timaadeen idinkoo cidhiidhi ku jira?
Iphtah then answered the Elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expell me out of my fathers house? how then come you vnto me now in time of your tribulation?
8 Oo odayaashii reer Gilecaadna waxay ku yidhaahdeen Yeftaah, War haatan waannu kuu soo noqonnay si aad noo raacdid oo aad ula dirirtid reer Cammoon, oo madax ayaad noo noqonaysaa oo waxaad ugu sarraynaysaa dadka deggan dalka Gilecaad oo dhan.
Then the Elders of Gilead saide vnto Iphtah, Therefore we turne againe to thee now, that thou mayest goe with vs, and fight against the children of Ammon, and bee our head ouer all the inhabitants of Gilead.
9 Markaasuu Yeftaah ku yidhi odayaashii reer Gilecaad, Haddaad mar kale dalkii iigu celisaan inaan reer Cammoon la diriro, oo Rabbigu iyaga gacanta ii soo geliyo, de markaas madax ma idiin noqonayaa?
And Iphtah said vnto the Elders of Gilead, If ye bring me home againe to fight against the children of Ammon, if the Lord giue them before me, shall I be your head?
10 Oo odayaashii reer Gilecaadna waxay Yeftaah ku yidhaahdeen, Taas Rabbigu ha ka noqdo marag inoo dhexaya; oo hubaal waxaannu yeelaynaa siduu eraygaagu yahay.
And the Elders of Gilead saide to Iphtah, The Lord be witnesse betweene vs, if we doe not according to thy wordes.
11 Markaasuu Yeftaah raacay odayaashii reer Gilecaad oo dadkiina waxay isagii ka dhigteen madax iyo ugaas iyaga ka sarreeya; oo Yeftaah wuxuu hadalkiisii oo dhan Rabbiga ugu sheegay Misfaah.
Then Iphtah went with the Elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captaine ouer them: and Iphtah rehearsed all his wordes before the Lord in Mizpeh.
12 Markaasuu Yeftaah wargeeyayaal u diray boqorkii reer Cammoon, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, War maxaa inaga dhexeeya, oo maxaad iigu timid oo aad dalkayga iigu la diriraysaa?
Then Iphtah sent messengers vnto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to doe with me, that thou art come against me, to fight in my lande?
13 Markaasuu boqorkii reer Cammoon ku yidhi wargeeyayaashii Yeftaah ka yimid, Maxaa yeelay, reer binu Israa'iil markii ay ka yimaadeen Masar, waxay iga dhaceen dalkaygii ilaa Arnoon iyo tan iyo xataa Yabboq, iyo ilaa Urdun; haddaba dalalkaas oo dhan nabad iigu soo celi.
And the King of the children of Ammon answered vnto the messengers of Iphtah, Because Israel tooke my lande, when they came vp from Egypt, from Arnon vnto Iabbok, and vnto Iorden: now therefore restore those lands quietly.
14 Oo Yeftaah haddana wargeeyayaal buu u diray boqorkii reer Cammoon;
Yet Iphtah sent messengers againe vnto the King of the children of Ammon,
15 oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Yeftaah wuxuu leeyahay, Reer binu Israa'iil ma dhicin dalkii reer Moo'aab iyo dalkii reer Cammoon toona:
And said vnto him, Thus saith Iphtah, Israel tooke not the lande of Moab, nor the lande of the children of Ammon.
16 laakiinse markii ay ka yimaadeen Masar, reer binu Israa'iil waxay soo mareen cidlada ilaa xagga Badda Cas, oo dabadeedna waxay yimaadeen Qaadeesh;
But when Israel came vp from Egypt, and walked through the wildernesse vnto the redde Sea, then they came to Kadesh.
17 markaasaa reer binu Israa'iil waxay wargeeyayaal u direen boqorkii reer Edom, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Waannu ku baryaynaaye, aannu dalkaaga dhex marno; laakiinse boqorkii reer Edom ma uu dhegaysan. Sidaas oo kalena waxay cid u direen boqorkii reer Moo'aab; laakiinse isna wuu diiday; oo reer binu Israa'iilna waxay iska joogeen Qaadeesh.
And Israel sent messengers vnto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, goe thorowe thy lande: but the King of Edom woulde not consent: and also they sent vnto the King of Moab, but he would not: therefore Israel abode in Kadesh.
18 Markaasay dhex mareen cidladii, oo waxay hareereeyeen dalkii reer Edom, iyo dalkii reer Moo'aab, oo waxay yimaadeen geesta bari oo dalka reer Moo'aab, oo waxay degeen Arnoon geesteeda kale; laakiinse soohdintii reer Moo'aab sooma ay gelin, waayo, Arnoon waxay ahayd soohdintii dalka reer Moo'aab.
Then they went through the wildernesse, and compassed the lande of Edom, and the lande of Moab, and came by the Eastside of the lande of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, and came not within the coast of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.
19 Markaasay reer binu Israa'iil wargeeyayaal u direen boqorkii reer Amor oo Siixon ahaa oo boqor u ahaa Xeshboon; oo reer binu Israa'iil waxay ku yidhaahdeen Siixon, Waannu ku baryaynaaye, aannu dalkaaga dhex marno si aannu ugu gudubno meeshayadii.
Also Israel sent messengers vnto Sihon, King of the Amorites, the King of Heshbon, and Israel said vnto him, Let vs passe, we pray thee, by thy lande vnto our place.
20 Laakiinse Siixon ma aaminin reer binu Israa'iil inay dhex maraan dalkiisii; laakiinse Siixon wuxuu soo urursaday dadkiisii oo dhan, oo intuu Yahas soo degay ayuu reer binu Israa'iil la diriray.
But Sihon consented not to Israel, that he shoulde goe through his coast: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Iahaz, and fought with Israel.
21 Markaasuu Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil Siixon iyo dadkiisii oo dhanba ku riday gacantii reer binu Israa'iil oo iyana way laayeen iyagii; oo sidaasay reer binu Israa'iil ku hantiyeen dalkii reer Amor oo dhan iyo dadkii waddankaasba.
And the Lord God of Israel gaue Sihon and all his folke into the handes of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the lande of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that countrey:
22 Oo waxay hantiyeen dalkii reer Amor oo dhan tan iyo Arnoon iyo ilaa Yabboq, iyo tan iyo cidlada iyo ilaa Webi Urdun.
And they possessed all the coast of the Amorites, from Arnon vnto Iabbok, and from the wildernesse euen vnto Iorden.
23 Haddaba haatan inta Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil reer Amor dalka kaga qaaday dadkiisa reer binu Israa'iil hortooda, miyaad adigu qabsanaysaa iyaga?
Nowe therefore the Lord God of Israel hath cast out the Amorites before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possesse it?
24 Sow lahaan maysid wuxuu ilaahaaga Kemoosh ahu ku siiyo inaad lahaatid? Taas aawadeed kuwa Rabbiga Ilaahayaga ahu hortayada ka eryo waannu qabsan doonnaa.
Wouldest not thou possesse that which Chemosh thy god giueth thee to possesse? So whomesoeuer the Lord our God driueth out before vs, them will we possesse.
25 Haddaba miyaad ka wanaagsan tahay boqorkii reer Moo'aab oo ahaa Baalaaq ina Sifoor? Miyuu weligiis la diriray reer binu Israa'iil, oo miyuu weligiis la dagaallamay reer binu Israa'iil?
And art thou nowe farre better then Balak the sonne of Zippor King of Moab? did he not striue with Israel and fight against them,
26 Oo intii reer binu Israa'iil ay degganaayeen Xeshboon iyo magaalooyinkeedii, iyo Carooceer iyo magaalooyinkeedii, iyo magaalooyinkii Arnoon dhinaceeda ku yiil oo dhan, intaasu waxay ahayd saddex boqol oo sannadood ee maxaad wakhtigaas u soo qabsan weydeen?
When Israel dwelt in Heshbon and in her townes, and in Aroer and in her townes, and in all the cities that are by the coastes of Arnon, three hundreth yeeres? why did ye not then recouer them in that space?
27 Sidaas daraaddeed anigu kuguma aan dembaabin, laakiinse adigu qalad baad igu samaynaysaa inaad ila dirirto. Rabbiga xaakinka ahu maanta ha noqdo xaakin u dhexeeya reer binu Israa'iil iyo reer Cammoon.
Wherefore, I haue not offended thee: but thou doest me wrong to warre against me. The Lord the Iudge be iudge this day betweene the children of Israel, and the children of Ammon.
28 Habase yeeshee, boqorkii reer Cammoon ma uu dhegaysan erayadii Yeftaah u soo diray.
Howbeit the King of the children of Ammon hearkened not vnto the wordes of Iphtah, which he had sent him.
29 Markaasaa Ruuxii Rabbigu wuxuu ku soo degay Yeftaah, oo wuxuu soo dhaafay reer Gilecaad iyo reer Manaseh, oo wuxuu soo dhaafay Misfaah tii reer Gilecaad, oo markaasuu Misfaah tii reer Gilecaadna wuxuu uga sii gudbay xagga reer Cammoon.
Then the Spirite of the Lord came vpon Iphtah, and he passed ouer to Gilead and to Manasseh, and came to Mizpeh in Gilead, and from Mizpeh in Gilead he went vnto the children of Ammon.
30 Markaasaa Yeftaah wuxuu Rabbiga u nidray nidar, oo wuxuu yidhi, Hubaal haddaad reer Cammoon gacantayda soo geliso,
And Iphtah vowed a vowe vnto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt deliuer the children of Ammon into mine handes,
31 markaasaa wax alla wixii irdaha gurigayga ka soo baxo inuu ila kulmo markaan reer Cammoon nabad kaga soo noqdo, waxaa lahaan doona Rabbiga, oo waxaan u bixin doonaa allabari la gubo.
Then that thing that commeth out of the doores of mine house to meete me, when I come home in peace from the children of Ammon, shall be the Lordes, and I will offer it for a burnt offering.
32 Markaasuu Yeftaah u gudbay xagga reer Cammoon inuu la dagaallamo, oo Rabbiguna gacantiisuu soo geliyey.
And so Iphtah went vnto the children of Ammon to fight against them, and the Lord deliuered them into his handes.
33 Oo wuxuu iyagii laayay ilaa Carooceer iyo tan iyo ilaa aad Minniid timaadid, oo intaasu waxay ahaayeen labaatan magaalo, oo ilaa Aabeel Keraamiimna wuxuu ku laayay dad badan. Sidaasaa reer Cammoon loogu hoosaysiiyey reer binu Israa'iil hortooda.
And he smote them from Aroer euen till thou come to Minnith, twentie cities, and so foorth to Abel of the vineyardes, with an exceeding great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were humbled before the children of Israel.
34 Markaasuu Yeftaah yimid Misfaah xagga gurigiisii, oo bal eeg, gabadhiisii baa ka soo baxday inay la kulanto, iyadoo daf tumaysa oo cayaaraysa. Madi bay u ahayd oo iyada mooyaane wiil iyo gabadh midna ma uu lahayn.
Nowe when Iphtah came to Mizpeh vnto his house, beholde, his daughter came out to meete him with timbrels and daunces, which was his onely childe: he had none other sonne, nor daughter.
35 Oo markuu arkay iyadii ayuu dharkiisii iska jeexjeexay, oo wuxuu yidhi, Hoogay gabadhaydiiyey! Hoos baad ii dhigtay, oo waxaad tahay kuwa i dhiba middood; waayo, Rabbigaan afkayga u furay, oo dibna uma aan noqon karo.
And when hee sawe her, hee rent his clothes, and saide, Alas my daughter, thou hast brought me lowe, and art of them that trouble me: for I haue opened my mouth vnto the Lord, and can not goe backe.
36 Oo waxay ku tidhi, Aabbahayow, Rabbigaad afkaaga u furtay, haddaba igu samee wixii afkaaga ka soo baxay, waayo, Rabbigu waa kaaga aarguday cadaawayaashaadii, kuwaasoo ahaa reer Cammoon.
And she said vnto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth vnto the Lord, doe with me as thou hast promised, seeing that the Lord hath auenged thee of thine enemies the children of Ammon.
37 Oo waxay aabbaheed ku tidhi, Bal waxan ha la ii sameeyo, intii laba bilood ah i daa, oo intaan buuraha tago, aniga iyo saaxiibadahay, aan bikradnimadayda u baroortee.
Also she saide vnto her father, Doe thus much for me: suffer me two moneths, that I may goe to the mountaines, and bewaile my virginitie, I and my fellowes.
38 Markaasuu yidhi, Tag. Oo intii laba bilood ah ayuu iska diray; oo iyadii iyo saaxiibadaheedba way tageen, oo bikradnimadeedii ayay buuraha ugu soo baroorteen.
And he sayde, Goe: and he sent her away two moneths: so she went with her companions, and lamented her virginitie vpon the moutaines.
39 Oo labadii bilood dabadeed ayay ku soo noqotay aabbaheed, oo isna wuxuu ku sameeyey sidii uu nidarka ku galay; oo iyana nin ma ay aqoon. Oo reer binu Israa'iilna waxaa caado u ahaa,
And after the ende of two moneths, she turned againe vnto her father, who did with her according to his vowe which he had vowed, and she had knowen no man. and it was a custome in Israel:
40 inay gabdhaha reer binu Israa'iil sannad walba afar maalmood baxaan oo u baroortaan gabadhii Yeftaah kii reer Gilecaad.
The daughters of Israel went yere by yere to lament the daughter of Iphtah the Gileadite, foure dayes in a yeere.
