And it was when heard all the kings who [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan in the hill country and in the Shephelah and in all [the] coast of the sea great to [the] front of Lebanon the Hittite[s] and the Amorite[s] the Canaanite[s] the Perizzite[s] the Hivite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
2 iswada urursadeen inay isku si ula diriraan Yashuuca iyo reer binu Israa'iil.
And they gathered together all together to wage war with Joshua and with Israel mouth one.
3 Laakiinse dadkii Gibecoon degganaa markay maqleen wixii Yashuuca ku sameeyey Yerixoo iyo Aacii,
And [the] inhabitants of Gibeon they heard [that] which he had done Joshua to Jericho and to Ai.
4 iyana markaasay khiyaano sameeyeen, oo intay tageen bay iska dhigeen sidii iyagoo ah wakiillo dalal kale, oo waxay dameerradoodii ku qaateen joonyado gaboobay, iyo sibraarro khamri oo khamri oo gaboobay oo dildillaacay oo la xidhxidhay.
And they acted also they with cunning and they went and they acted as ambassadors and they took sacks worn out for donkeys their and skin-bottles of wine worn out and split and tied up.
5 Oo waxay gashadeen kabo duugoobay oo la karkaray, oo waxay xidheen dhar gaboobay, oo kibistii ay soo sahaydeen oo dhammuna waxay ahayd mid engegan oo caaryaysatay.
And sandals worn out and patched [were] on feet their and garments worn out [were] on them and all [the] bread of provision[s] their it was dried up it was crumbs.
6 Oo waxay u tageen Yashuuca oo jooga xeradii ku tiil Gilgaal, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen isagii iyo raggii reer binu Israa'iilba, Annagu waxaannu ka nimid dal fog; haddaba sidaas daraaddeed axdi nala dhigta.
And they went to Joshua to the camp Gilgal and they said to him and to [the] man of Israel from a land distant we have come and therefore make to us a covenant.
7 Oo raggii reer binu Israa'iil waxay ku yidhaahdeen kuwii reer Xiwi, War mindhaa annagaad na dhex deggan tihiin, oo haddaba sidee baannu axdi idiinla dhiganaynaa?
(And he said *Q(K)*) [the] man of Israel to the Hivite[s] perhaps in midst my you [are] dwelling and how? (will I make *Q(k)*) to you a covenant.
8 Oo waxay Yashuuca ku yidhaahdeen, Annagu waxaannu nahay addoommadaada. Markaasaa Yashuuca wuxuu ku yidhi, Yaad tihiin? Oo xaggee baad ka timaadeen?
And they said to Joshua [are] servants your we and he said to them Joshua who? [are] you and from where? do you come.
9 Kolkaasay waxay isagii ku yidhaahdeen, Magaca Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah aawadiis ayaannu annagoo addoommadaada ah waddan aad u fog uga nimid, waayo, waxaannu maqalnay warkiisii, iyo kulli wixii uu Masar ku dhex sameeyey oo dhan,
And they said to him from a land distant very they have come servants your to [the] name of Yahweh God your for we have heard [the] report of him and all that he did in Egypt.
10 iyo kulli wixii uu ku sameeyey labadii boqor oo reer Amor oo ka shisheeyey Webi Urdun, kuwaas oo ahaa Siixon oo boqor ka ahaa Xeshboon, iyo Coog oo boqor ka ahaa Baashaan, oo degganaa Cashtarod.
And - all that he did to [the] two [the] kings of the Amorite[s] who [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan to Sihon [the] king of Heshbon and to Og [the] king of Bashan who [was] in Ashtaroth.
11 Oo odayaashayadii iyo dadkii waddankayaga degganaa oo dhammu waxay nagu soo yidhaahdeen, Sodcaalka aawadiis sahay u qaata, oo taga si aad ula kulantaan iyaga, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaan, Annagu waxaannu nahay addoommadiinna, ee haddaba axdi nala dhigta.
And they said to us elders our and all [the] inhabitants of land our saying take in hand your provision[s] for the journey and go to meet them and you will say to them [are] servants your we and therefore make to us a covenant.
12 Oo kibistan iyadoo kulul baan guryahayagii sahay uga soo qaadannay maalintii aan idiin soo kacnay; laakiinse bal hadda eega, way engegtay, wayna caaryaysatay:
This - bread our warm we took as our provisions it from homes our on [the] day came out we to come to you and now here! it has dried up and it has been crumbs.
13 oo sibraarradan khamriga oo aannu soo buuxsannay way cusbaayeen, oo bal eega haatan waa dildillaacsan yihiin, oo dharkayaga iyo kabahayagu waxay ku duugoobeen sodcaalkii aad u dheeraa aawadiis.
And these [the] skin-bottles of wine which we filled new and here! they have split and these garments our and sandals our they have worn out from [the] greatness of the journey very.
14 Oo markaasay nimankii wax ka qaateen sahaydoodii, oo Rabbigana talo ma ay weyddiisan.
And they took the men some of provision[s] their and [the] mouth of Yahweh not they asked.
15 Oo Yashuucana wuu la nabday iyagii, oo axdina wuu la dhigtay inuu naftooda u daayo; oo amiirradii shirkuna way u dhaarteen iyagii.
And he made to them Joshua peace and he made to them a covenant to let live them and they swore an oath to them [the] leaders of the congregation.
16 Oo markay axdigii la dhigteen saddex maalmood dabadeed waxay maqleen inay yihiin deriskooda, oo ay dhexdooda deggan yihiin.
And it was from [the] end of three days after that they had made to them a covenant and they heard that [were] near they to him and in midst his they [were] dwelling.
17 Oo reer binu Israa'iil way sodcaaleen, oo maalintii saddexaad waxay yimaadeen magaalooyinkoodii. Oo magaalooyinkooduna waxay ahaayeen Gibecoon, iyo Kefiiraah, iyo Bi'irod, iyo Qiryad Yecaariim.
And they set out [the] people of Israel and they came to cities their on the day third and cities their [were] Gibeon and Kephirah and Beeroth and Kiriath Jearim.
18 Oo reer binu Israa'iilna ma ay layn, waayo, amiirradii shirku waxay iyagii ugu dhaarteen Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil. Oo markaasaa shirkii oo dhammu waxay ka gunuunaceen amiirradii.
And not they attacked them [the] people of Israel for they had sworn an oath to them [the] leaders of the congregation by Yahweh [the] God of Israel and they grumbled all the congregation on the leaders.
19 Laakiinse amiirradii oo dhammu waxay shirkii oo dhan ku yidhaahdeen, Waxaannu iyaga ugu dhaarannay Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil; oo haddaba sidaas daraaddeed waa inaynaan taaban iyaga.
And they said all the leaders to all the congregation we we have sworn an oath to them by Yahweh [the] God of Israel and therefore not we are able to touch them.
20 Oo sidan baan u yeelaynaa, oo naftooda ayaan u daynaynaa waaba intaas oo dhaartii aannu ugu dhaarannay daraaddeed cadho inoogu dhacdaaye.
This we will do to them and we will let live them and not it will be towards us wrath on the oath which we swore to them.
21 Oo amiirradii waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Naftooda u daaya, ha noolaadeene. Sidaas daraaddeed waxay shirkii oo dhan u noqdeen kuwo xaabada gura oo biyaha dhaansha, sidii amiirradii kula hadleen iyagii.
And they said to them the leaders let them live and they were cutters of wood and drawers of water for all the congregation just as they had spoken to them the leaders.
22 Markaasaa Yashuuca u yeedhay iyagii, oo intuu la hadlay buu ku yidhi, War maxaad noo khiyaanayseen oo noogu tidhaahdeen, Waannu idinka fog nahay, idinkoo na dhex deggan?
And he summoned them Joshua and he spoke to them saying why? did you deceive us saying [are] distant we from you very and you in midst our [are] dwelling.
23 Sidaas daraaddeed waad habaaran tihiin, oo weligiin laydinka waayi maayo addoommo ah kuwa xaabada u gura, biyahana u dhaamiya guriga Ilaahayga.
And therefore [are] cursed you and not he will be cut off from you a slave and cutters of wood and drawers of water for [the] house of God my.
24 Oo waxay Yashuuca ugu jawaabeen, Maxaa yeelay, hubaal waxaa annagoo addoommadaada ah lanoo sheegay sida Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ahu addoonkiisii Muuse ahaa ugu amray inuu idin siiyo dalka oo dhan, iyo in dadka dalka deggan oo dhan hortiinna laga baabbi'iyo; oo sidaas aawadeed naftayada aad baannu ugu cabsannay idinka daraaddiin, oo waxanna sidaas baannu u yeelnay.
And they answered Joshua and they said that certainly it was told to servants your this: he had commanded Yahweh God your Moses servant his to give to you all the land and to destroy all [the] inhabitants of the land from before you and we were afraid very for lives our because of you and we did the thing this.
25 Oo haddaba bal eeg gacantaadaannu ku jirnaa. Sidii kula wanaagsan oo kula qumman inaad nagu samaysid yeel.
And therefore here we [are] in hand your according to the good and according to the right in view your to do to us do.
26 Oo sidaas buu u yeelay, oo ka samatabbixiyey gacantii reer binu Israa'iil inaanay dilin.
And he did to them thus and he delivered them from [the] hand of [the] people of Israel and not they killed them.
27 Oo maalintaasuu Yashuuca iyagii ka dhigay kuwo xaabada u gura, biyahana u dhaamiya shirka iyo meesha allabariga Rabbiga, taas oo ku taal meel alla meeshuu doortoba, ilaa maantadan la joogo.
And he made them Joshua on the day that cutters of wood and drawers of water for the congregation and for [the] altar of Yahweh until the day this to the place which he will choose.
