Yashuuca 4
1 Oo markii quruuntii oo dhammu ay ka wada gudubtay Webi Urdun, ayaa Rabbigu Yashuuca la hadlay, oo ku yidhi,
And it came to pass, when all the nation had made an end of passing over the Jordan, that Yahweh slake unto Joshua, saying:
2 Dadka kala bax laba iyo toban nin, qabiil walba nin,
Take unto you, from among the people, twelve men, one man severally from each tribe;
3 oo waxaad iyaga ku amartaa oo ku tidhaahdaa, Webi Urdun dhexdiisa oo ah meeshii cagaha wadaaddadu istaageen, waxaad ka qaaddaan laba iyo toban dhagax, oo waxaad ula gudubtaan dhanka kale, oo waxaad dhigtaan meeshaad caawa ku dhaxaysaan.
and command ye them, saying, Take you up from hence, out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where stood the feet of the priests with firm footing, twelve stones; —and carry them over with you, and lay them down in the lodging-place where ye shall lodge, tonight.
4 Markaasaa Yashuuca u yeedhay laba iyo tobankii nin, oo uu ka diyaariyey reer binu Israa'iil, oo qabiil walbana nin buu ka soo soocay.
So Joshua called unto the twelve men whom he had made ready, from among the sons of Israel, —one man severally out of each tribe;
5 Oo Yashuuca wuxuu ku yidhi iyagii, Ka hor gudba sanduuqa Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah, oo waxaad tagtaan Webi Urdun dhexdiisa, oo midkiin waluba dhagax garabka ha ku qaado, inta reer binu Israa'iil qabiilooyinkooda tiradoodu tahay,
and Joshua said unto them: Pass ye over, before the ark of Yahweh your God, into the midst of the Jordan, —and lift ye up, each man one stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel:
6 in taasu idiin ahaato calaamo idin dhex taal, oo wakhtiga soo socda markii carruurtiinnu idin weyddiiyaan, oo idinku yidhaahdaan, Maxaad ula jeeddaan dhagaxyadan?
that this may be a sign in your midst, —for your sons will ask in time to come, saying, What mean these stones to you?
7 Waxaad ku odhan doontaan, Sababtu waxa weeye, biyihii Webi Urdun baa ku hor kala go'ay sanduuqa axdiga Ilaah; oo markii uu ka gudbayay Webi Urdun ayay biyihii Webi Urdun kala go'een; oo dhagaxyadanu xusuus bay u ahaan doonaan reer binu Israa'iil weligood.
Then shall ye say unto them—That the waters of the Jordan, were cut off, from before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, when it passed into the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan, were cut off. So shall these stones become a memorial unto the sons of Israel, unto times age-abiding.
8 Oo reer binu Israa'iil waxay yeeleen sidii Yashuuca ku amray, oo waxay Webi Urdun dhexdiisa ka qaadeen laba iyo toban dhagax, oo ah intii qabiilooyinka reer binu Israa'iil tiradoodu ahayd sidii Rabbigu u sheegay Yashuuca, oo waxay u gudbiyeen meeshii ay ku dhaxeen, oo halkaasay dhigeen.
And the sons of Israel did so, as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as spake Yahweh unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, —and carried them with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
9 Oo Yashuuca wuxuu laba iyo toban dhagax qotomiyey Webi Urdun dhexdiisa, taasoo ah meeshii wadaaddada sida sanduuqa axdiga ay cagahoodu istaageen; oo ilaa maantadan weli meeshii bay jiraan.
Twelve stones also, did Joshua set up in the midst of the Jordan, in the place where stood the feet of the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant, —and they have remained there until this day.
10 Waayo, wadaaddadii siday sanduuqa waxay istaageen Webi Urdun dhexdiisa, ilaa ay dhammaadeen wax waluba wixii Rabbigu ku amray Yashuuca inuu dadka kula hadlo, sidii wixii Muuse ku amray Yashuuca oo dhan, oo dadkiina way degdegeen oo gudbeen.
Now, the priests who were bearing the ark, continued standing in the midst of the Jordan, until everything was finished which Yahweh commanded Joshua, to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua, —the people therefore hasted, and passed over.
11 Oo waxaa dhacday markii ay dadkii oo dhammu wada gudbeen inuu sanduuqii Rabbiguna gudbay, isaga iyo wadaaddadiiba, dadkii oo arka.
And so it was, as soon as all the people had made an end of passing over, —then passed over the ark of Yahweh, and the priests, in presence of the people.
12 Oo reer Ruubeen, iyo reer Gaad, iyo qabiilkii reer Manaseh badhkiis ayaa reer binu Israa'iil ka hor gudbay, iyagoo hub leh, sidii Muuse kula hadlay iyaga.
Also the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh, passed over, armed, before the sons of Israel, —as Moses had spoken unto them:
13 Qiyaas afar kun oo nin oo hub leh oo dagaal diyaar u ah ayaa Rabbiga hortiisa ka gudubtay oo dagaal ugu kacday xagga bannaanka Yerixoo.
about forty thousand, equipped for the war, passed over before Yahweh, to battle, into the waste plains of Jericho.
14 Oo maalintaas Rabbigu wuxuu Yashuuca ku weyneeyey reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan hortooda; oo cimrigiisii oo dhanba way ka cabsadeen isagii, sidii ay Muuse uga baqi jireen oo kale.
On that day, did Yahweh magnify Joshua in the eyes of all Israel, —and they revered him, as they revered Moses, all the days of his life.
15 Markaasaa Rabbigu Yashuuca la hadlay, oo ku yidhi,
Then spake Yahweh unto Joshua, saying:
16 Wadaaddada sanduuqa maragga sida waxaad ku amartaa inay ka soo baxaan Webi Urdun.
Command the priests who are bearing the ark of testimony, —that they come up out of the Jordan.
17 Oo sidaas daraaddeed Yashuuca baa amray wadaaddadii, oo ku yidhi, Ka soo baxa Webi Urdun.
So Joshua commanded the priests, saying, —Come ye up out of the Jordan.
18 Oo markii wadaaddadii siday sanduuqa axdigii Rabbiga ay ka soo dhex bexeen Webi Urdun, oo ay cagaha u qaadeen dhul engegan, ayay biyihii Webi Urdun meeshoodii ku soo noqdeen, oo ay qararkiisii oo dhan ka daateen sidii markii hore.
And it came to pass, when the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the feet of the priests were withdrawn unto the dry ground, then returned the waters of the Jordan unto their place, and went, as before, over all his banks.
19 Oo dadku waxay Webi Urdun ka soo bexeen maalintii tobnaad oo bishii kowaad, oo waxay degeen Gilgaal oo xagga bari ka xigta Yerixoo.
So, the people, came up out of the Jordan, on the tenth of the first month, —and encamped in Gilgal, at the eastern end of Jericho.
20 Oo laba iyo tobankii dhagax oo ay ka soo qaadeen Webi Urdun dhexdiisa ayuu Yashuuca qotomiyey Gilgaal.
And, these twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan, did Joshua set up, in Gilgal.
21 Markaasuu ka hadlay reer binu Israa'iil, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Wakhtiga soo socda markii carruurtiinnu aabbayaashood weyddiiyaan, oo yidhaahdaan, Maxaad ula jeeddaan dhagaxyadan?
Then spake he unto the sons of Israel, saying, —When your sons shall ask, in time to come, of their fathers, saying, —What mean these stones?
22 Waxaad carruurtiinna ogeysiisaan, oo ku tidhaahdaan, Reer binu Israa'iil Webigan Urdun waxay kaga soo gudbeen dhul engegan.
then shall ye let your sons know, saying, —On dry ground, came Israel over this Jordan;
23 Waayo, Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah baa hortiinna ka engejiyey biyihii Webi Urdun, ilaa aad ka soo gudubteen, sidii Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ahu u galay Badda Cas oo kale, tii uu hortayada ka engejiyey ilaa aannu ka gudubnay,
in that Yahweh your God dried up the waters of the Jordan, from before you, until ye had passed over, —as Yahweh your God had done unto the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had passed over:
24 si ay dadka dhulka jooga oo dhammu u ogaadaan gacanta Rabbigu inay xoog badan tahay; oo ay weligood uga cabsadaan Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah.
that all the peoples of the earth might know the hand of Yahweh, that, firm, it is; that they might revere Yahweh your God, all the days.
