Now the family heads of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the other tribes of Israel

So by the command of the LORD, the Israelites gave the Levites these cities and their pasturelands out of their own inheritance:

The first lot came out for the Kohathite clans. The Levites who were descendants of Aaron the priest received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.
5 Oo reer Qohaad intoodii hadhay waxay saami kaga heleen qolooyinkii reer Efrayim, iyo reer Daan, iyo reer Manaseh badhkood toban magaalo.
The remaining descendants of Kohath received ten cities by lot from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
6 Oo reer Gershoonna waxay saami kaga heleen qolooyinkii reer Isaakaar, iyo reer Aasheer, iyo reer Naftaali, iyo reer Manaseh badhkoodii degganaa Baashaan saddex iyo toban magaalo.
The descendants of Gershon received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
7 Oo reer Meraariina sidii ay reerahoodii ahaayeen waxay ka heleen reer Ruubeen, iyo reer Gaad, iyo reer Sebulun laba iyo toban magaalo.
And the descendants of Merari received twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.
8 Oo reer binu Israa'iil magaalooyinkaas iyo agagaarkoodiiba waxay saami ku siiyeen reer Laawi sidii Rabbigu ku amray Muuse.
So the Israelites allotted to the Levites these cities, together with their pasturelands, as the LORD had commanded through Moses.
9 Oo waxaa laga siiyey qabiilkii reer Yahuudah iyo qabiilkii reer Simecoon magaalooyinkan magacooda halkan lagu sheegayo.
From the tribes of Judah and Simeon, they designated these cities by name
10 Oo waxaa iska lahaa reerkii Haaruun ee ahaa qolooyinkii reer Qohaad, kuwaasoo ka mid ahaa reer Laawi; maxaa yeelay, iyagaa saamiga hore lahaa.
to the descendants of Aaron from the Kohathite clans of the Levites, because the first lot fell to them:
11 Oo waxaa la siiyey Qiryad Arbac, oo Arbacna wuxuu ahaa Canaaq aabbihiis (oo taasuna waa Xebroon), oo waxay ku tiil dalka buuraha leh ee reer Yahuudah, iyada iyo agagaarkeeda ku wareegsanba.
They gave them Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), with its surrounding pasturelands, in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the father of Anak.)
12 Laakiinse magaalada beeraheedii iyo tuulooyinkeediiba waxay siiyeen Kaaleeb ina Yefunneh inuu hanti ahaan u qaato.
But they had given the fields and villages around the city to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his possession.

So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave these cities, together with their pasturelands: Hebron, a city of refuge for the manslayer, Libnah,
14 iyo Yatiir iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Eshtemooca iyo agagaarkeedii,
Jattir, Eshtemoa,
15 iyo Xolon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Debiir iyo agagaarkeedii,
Holon, Debir,
16 iyo Cayn iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Yutaah iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Beytshemesh iyo agagaarkeedii, oo labadaas qabiil waxay ka heleen sagaal magaalo.
Ain, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh—nine cities from these two tribes, together with their pasturelands.
17 Oo qabiilkii reer Benyaamiinna waxay ka heleen Gibecoon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Geeraa iyo agagaarkeedii,
And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon, Geba,
18 iyo Canaatood iyo agagaarkeedii, intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.
Anathoth, and Almon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
19 Oo wadaadkii Haaruun ahaa reerkiisii magaalooyinkoodii oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen saddex iyo toban magaalo iyo agagaarkoodii.
In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the priests, the descendants of Aaron.
20 Oo qolooyinkii reer Qohaad oo ahaa reer Laawi, xataa reer Qohaad intoodii hadhay, waxay magaalooyin saami uga heleen qabiilkii reer Efrayim.
The remaining Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted these cities: From the tribe of Ephraim
21 Oo waxay iyagii siiyeen Shekem iyo agagaarkeedii, oo waxay ku tiil dalka reer Efrayim oo buuraha leh, oo waxayna ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo Geser iyo agagaarkeedii,
they were given Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim (a city of refuge for the manslayer), Gezer,
22 iyo Qibsayim iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Beytxooroon iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.
Kibzaim, and Beth-horon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
23 Oo qabiilkii reer Daanna waxay ka heleen Elteqaah iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Gibbetoon iyo agagaarkeedii,
From the tribe of Dan they were given Elteke, Gibbethon,
24 iyo Ayaaloon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Gad Rimmoon iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.
Aijalon, and Gath-rimmon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
25 Oo qabiilkii reer Manaseh badhkiisna waxay ka heleen Tacanaag iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Gad Rimmoon iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd laba magaalo.
And from the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Taanach and Gath-rimmon—two cities, together with their pasturelands.
26 Oo qolooyinkii reer Qohaad intoodii hadhay magaalooyinkoodii oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen toban iyo agagaarkoodii.
In all, ten cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the rest of the Kohathite clans.
27 Oo reer Gershoon oo ahaa reer Laawi waxaa qabiilkii reer Manaseh badhkiis laga siiyey Goolaan, oo Baashaan ku dhex taal iyo agagaarkeedii, oo taasu waxay ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo weliba Beceshteraah iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd laba magaalo.
This is what the Levite clans of the Gershonites were given: From the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Golan in Bashan, a city of refuge for the manslayer, and Beeshterah—two cities, together with their pasturelands.
28 Oo waxay qabiilkii reer Isaakaarna ka heleen Qiishyoon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Daaberad iyo agagaarkeedii,
From the tribe of Issachar they were given Kishion, Daberath,
29 iyo Yarmuud iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Ceyn Ganniim iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.
Jarmuth, and En-gannim—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
30 Oo waxay qabiilkii reer Aasheerna ka heleen Mishaal iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Cabdoon iyo agagaarkeedii,
From the tribe of Asher they were given Mishal, Abdon,
31 iyo Xelqad iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Rexob iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.
Helkath, and Rehob—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
32 Oo waxay qabiilkii reer Naftaalina ka heleen Qedesh oo ku taal Galili iyo agagaarkeedii, oo taasu waxay ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo Xammod Door iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Qartaan iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd saddex magaalo.
And from the tribe of Naphtali they were given Kedesh in Galilee (a city of refuge for the manslayer), Hammoth-dor, and Kartan—three cities, together with their pasturelands.
33 Oo magaalooyinkii reer Gershoon oo dhan, sidii qolooyinkoodu ahaayeen, saddex iyo toban magaalo iyo agagaarkoodii bay ahaayeen.
In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the Gershonite clans.
34 Oo qolooyinkii reer Meraarii oo ahaa intii ka hadhay reer Laawi waxay qabiilkii reer Sebulun ka heleen Yoqnecaam iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Qartaah iyo agagaarkeedii,
This is what the Merarite clan (the rest of the Levites) were given: From the tribe of Zebulun they were given Jokneam, Kartah,
35 iyo Dimnaah iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Nahalaal iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.
Dimnah, and Nahalal—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
36 Oo waxay qabiilkii reer Ruubeenna ka heleen Beser iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Yahas iyo agagaarkeedii,
From the tribe of Reuben they were given Bezer, Jahaz,
37 iyo Qedemood iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Mefacad iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.
Kedemoth, and Mephaath—four cities, together with their pasturelands.
38 Oo waxay qabiilkii reer Gaadna ka heleen Raamod oo ku dhex taal Gilecaad iyo agagaarkeedii, oo taasu waxay ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo Maxanayim iyo agagaarkeedii,
And from the tribe of Gad they were given Ramoth in Gilead, a city of refuge for the manslayer, Mahanaim,
39 iyo Xeshboon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Yaser iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu dhammaantood waxay ahaayeen afar magaalo.
Heshbon, and Jazer—four cities in all, together with their pasturelands.
40 Oo kulli intaas oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen magaalooyinkii qolooyinkii reer Meraarii iyo xataa reer Laawi intoodii hadhay, oo qaybtoodii waxay ahayd laba iyo toban magaalo.
In all, twelve cities were allotted to the clans of Merari, the remaining Levite clans.
41 Oo reer Laawi magaalooyinkoodii ay qaybta u heleen ee ku dhex yiil dalkii hantida u ahaa reer binu Israa'iil kulligood waxay ahaayeen siddeed iyo afartan magaalo iyo agagaarkoodii.
For the Levites, then, there were forty-eight cities in all, together with their pasturelands, within the territory of the Israelites.
42 Magaalooyinkaas mid waluba waxay lahayd agagaarkeedii ku wareegsanaa; oo magaalooyinku dhammaantood sidaasay ahaayeen.
Each of these cities had its own surrounding pasturelands; this was true for all the cities.
43 Sidaasuu Rabbigu reer binu Israa'iil u siiyey dhulkii u awowayaashood ugu dhaartay inuu siiyo oo dhan, oo iyana way hantiyeen, wayna iska degeen.
Thus the LORD gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their fathers, and they took possession of it and settled in it.
44 Oo Rabbigu wuxuu iyagii ka nasiyey dadkii ku wareegsanaa, siduu awowayaashood ugu dhaartay oo dhan: oo nin cadaawayaashoodii oo dhan ka mid ihi hortooda isma taagin, oo Rabbigu cadaawayaashoodii oo dhan gacantuu u soo geliyey.
And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45 Oo waxba kama baaqan innaba wixii wanaagsanaa oo Rabbigu u sheegay reer binu Israa'iil; laakiinse kulli way wada ahaadeen.
Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel had failed; everything was fulfilled.
