< Yashuuca 13 >
When Joshua was very old, Yahweh said to him, “Joshua, you are now an old man, but there is still a lot of land [for your army] to capture.
2 Oo dalka weli hadhay waxa weeye kan: gobollada reer Falastiin oo dhan iyo reer Geshuur oo dhan,
Here is a list of the land that remains: The Geshur region and all the area where the Philistia people-group live;
3 tan iyo Shiixoorta ku taal Masar horteeda, iyo xataa tan iyo soohdinta Ceqroon ee xagga woqooyi, ee loo tiriyo reer Kancaan, iyo shanta amiir ee reer Falastiin oo u taliya reer Gaasa, iyo reer Ashdood, iyo reer Ashqeloon, iyo reer Gad, iyo reer Ceqroon,
the area where the Canaan people-group live, from the Shihor River [in the south] at the [eastern] border of Egypt, to Ekron [city] in the north; the rulers of the five [cities] of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron; the area where the Avva people-group live,
4 iyo xataa reer Caw oo xagga koonfureed xiga, iyo dalka reer Kancaan oo dhan, iyo Mecaaraah tan ay reer Siidoon leeyihiin, iyo ilaa Afeeq, iyo tan iyo soohdinta reer Amor,
which is south of the area where the Canaan people-group live;
5 iyo dalka reer Gebal iyo Lubnaan oo dhan, xagga qorrax ka soo baxa, inta laga bilaabo Bacal Gaad tan ku taal Buur Xermoon hoosteeda, iyo tan iyo meesha laga galo Xamaad.
the area where the Gebal people-group live; and all the Lebanon area east of Baal-Gad [city] at the bottom of Hermon Mountain, as far as Lebo-Hamath.
6 Dadka deggan dalka buuraha leh oo dhan, tan iyo Lubnaan iyo ilaa Misrefood Mayim, iyo xataa reer Siidoon oo dhan kulligood waxaan ka eryi doonaa reer binu Israa'iil hortooda; laakiinse waa inaad dhaxal ahaan ugu qori riddaa reer binu Israa'iil sidaan kugu amray.
All the people of the Sidon people-group live in the hilly area from Lebanon to Misrephoth-Maim, but I will force them to leave that area before you Israelis arrive there. Be sure to give that area to the Israeli people when you divide the land among them, like I told you to do.
7 Haddaba dalkan dhaxal ahaan ugu qaybi sagaalka qabiil iyo qabiilka reer Manaseh badhkiis,
Divide all that land among the nine Israeli tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh, [the tribes that do not have land on the east side of the Jordan River].”
8 Kuwaasoo ay reer Ruubeen iyo reer Gaadba la heleen dhaxalkoodii uu Muuse ka siiyey xagga bari oo Webi Urdun ka shishaysa, xataa sidii addoonkii Rabbiga oo Muuse ahaa uu u siiyey iyaga,
Half of the tribe of Manasseh and the tribes of Reuben and Gad had already been told what land they would receive, because Moses, the man who served Yahweh [well], had already assigned to them the land on the east side of the Jordan [River].
9 tan iyo Carooceer oo ku taal dooxadii Arnoon darafkeeda, iyo magaalada ku taal dooxada dhexdeeda, iyo banka Meedebaa oo dhan iyo xataa tan iyo Diibon,
Their land extended from Aroer [town] at the Arnon River gorge to the town in the middle of the gorge. It included the whole plain from Medeba [town south] to Dibon [town].
10 iyo dhammaan magaalooyinkii Siixon oo boqor u ahaa reer Amor uu ku xukumi jiray Xeshboon, tan iyo soohdinta reer Cammoon,
All the towns ruled by King Sihon were in that area. The land extended to where the Ammon people-group lived.
11 iyo Gilecaad, iyo soohdinta reer Geshuur, iyo reer Macakaad, iyo Buur Xermoon oo dhan, iyo Baashaan oo dhan iyo ilaa Salkaah,
The Gilead area was also there, and the regions where the people of the Geshur and Maacah people-groups lived, and all of Hermon Mountain and all the Bashan region [south] to Salecah.
12 iyo boqortooyadii Baashaan ku tiil oo dhan oo Coog ka xukumi jiray Cashtarod iyo Edrecii (Isagu wuxuu ka hadhay reer Rafaa), waayo, kuwaas waxaa laayay Muuse, wuuna eryay.
All the land ruled by Og, the king who ruled the Bashan [region], was in that land. Og was one of the last descendants of Repha; previously he had ruled in Ashtaroth and Edrei [cities], but [the armies of] Moses had defeated their armies and had taken their land from them.
13 Habase yeeshee reer binu Israa'iil ma ay eryin reer Geshuur iyo reer Macakaad toona; laakiinse reer Geshuur iyo reer Macakaad waxay dhex deggan yihiin reer binu Israa'iil ilaa maantadan la joogo.
But the Israelis did not force the people of the Geshur and Maacah [people-groups] to leave their land, so they still live among the Israeli people.
14 Oo waxaanu dhaxal siin qabiilkii reer Laawi oo keliya. Sidii Rabbigu kula hadlay isaga, waxaa dhaxal u ahaa qurbaannada loo bixiyo Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil.
The tribe of Levi was the only tribe that did not get any land. Instead, just like Yahweh promised, they continued to receive [food from] the sacrifices that were given to Yahweh, the God whom the Israelis [worship], the sacrifices that were burned [on the sacred altar].
15 Oo Muuse wuxuu reer Ruubeen qabiilkoodii wax u siiyey sidii reerahoodu ahaayeen.
Moses had allotted land to each clan in the tribe of Reuben.
16 Oo xuduudkoodu wuxuu ka bilaaban jiray Carooceer taas oo ku taal dooxada Arnoon darafkeeda, iyo magaalada ku taal dooxada dhexdeeda, iyo kulli banka Meedebaa u dhow oo dhan,
Their land extended from Aroer [town] near the Arnon River gorge to Medeba [town]. That included all of the plain [that is near Medeba] and the town in the middle of the gorge.
17 iyo Xeshboon, iyo kulli magaalooyinkeeda banka ku yaal oo dhan, kuwaasoo ah, Diibon iyo Baamood Bacal, iyo Beyd Bacal Mecoon,
It also included Heshbon [city] and all the nearby towns on the plain—Dibon, Bamioth-Baal, Beth-Baal-Meon,
18 iyo Yahas, iyo Qedemood, iyo Mefacad,
Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
19 iyo Qiryatayim, iyo Sibmaah, iyo Sered Shahar oo ku taal buurta dooxada,

21 iyo kulli magaalooyinkii banka oo dhan, iyo boqorkii reer Amor oo Siixon ahaa boqortooyadiisii oo dhan, kaas oo xukumi jiray Xeshboon, oo Muuse la dilay madaxdii reer Midyaan, kuwaasoo ahaa Ewii, iyo Reqem, iyo Suur, iyo Xuur, iyo Rebac, oo ahaa amiirradii Siixon oo dalkaas degganaa.
That land included all the towns on the plain and all the area that King Sihon had previously ruled. But [the army of] Moses had defeated him and the rulers of the Midian people-group: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba. The armies of all those rulers fought battles along with the army of Sihon, and they lived in that country.
22 Weliba faaliyaha Balcaam oo ahaa ina Becoor ayay reer binu Israa'iil seef kula dileen dadkii kaloo ay laayeen.
The Israeli army killed many people during those battles, including Balaam, [the prophet] from Beor, who tried to use magic to predict/tell what would happen in the future.
23 Reer Ruubeen dalkooduna wuxuu ahaa Urdun, iyo inta soohdintiisa ah oo dhan. Kanu waa dhaxalkii reer Ruubeen iyo sidii reerahoodu ahaayeen, iyo magaalooyinkoodii iyo tuulooyinkoodiiba.
The [western] boundary of the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Reuben was the Jordan [River].
24 Oo Muuse wax buu siiyey qabiilkii reer Gaad, oo wuxuu wax u siiyey reer Gaad sidii reerahoodu ahaayeen.
Moses also allotted some land to each clan in the tribe of Gad.
25 Oo xuduudkooduna wuxuu ka koobnaa Yacser, iyo magaalooyinkii Gilecaad oo dhan, iyo dalkii reer Cammoon badhkiis, iyo tan iyo Carooceer oo ku hor taal Rabbaah,
Their land included the Jazer [area] and all the towns of the Gilead [area]; half of the land where the Ammon people-group lived, as far as Aroer [town which is] near Rabbah [town];
26 iyo ilaa Xeshboon iyo tan iyo Raamad-misfaah, iyo Betoniim, iyo tan iyo Maxanayim iyo ilaa soohdinta Debiir,
the area from Heshbon [city] to Ramath-Mizpah and Betonim [towns; the area] from Mahanaim [town] to the Debir region;
27 iyo kuwii dooxadii ku dhex yiil oo ahaa Beytaaraam, iyo Beytnimraah, iyo Sukod, iyo Saafoon oo ahaa boqorkii Xeshboon oo Siixon ahaa boqortooyadiisii intii ka hadhay, iyo Urdun iyo soohdintiisii, iyo meesha ugu fog badda Kinnered ee ka shishaysa Webi Urdun ee xagga bari ka xigta.
Beth-Haram, Beth-Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon [cities] in the valley; and the other area that King Sihon had ruled on the east side of the Jordan River. That area extended [north] to the southern end of Galilee Lake.
28 Kanu waa dhaxalkii ay reer Gaad u heleen sidii reerahoodu ahaayeen iyo magaalooyinkoodii iyo tuulooyinkoodii.
All this land, including the towns and villages, was allotted to the tribe of Gad.
29 Oo Muusena wuxuu dhaxal siiyey qabiilkii reer Manaseh badhkiis. Wuxuu u ahaa qabiilkii reer Manaseh badhkiis sidii reerahoodu ahaayeen.
Moses also had allotted some of the land [on the east side of the Jordan River] to half of the tribe of Manasseh.
30 Oo xuduudkoodu wuxuu ka koobnaa Maxanayim, iyo Baashaan oo dhan, iyo boqorkii Baashaan oo Coog ahaa boqortooyadiisii oo dhan, iyo magaalooyinkii Yaa'iir oo Baashaan ku yiil oo dhan, kuwaasoo ahaa lixdan magaalo;
Their land extended [north] from Mahanaim [city]. It included all the Bashan region, all the land that King Og had ruled, and all the towns in the Jair area in Bashan. Altogether that area included 60 towns.
31 iyo Gilecaad badhkeed, iyo Cashtarod, iyo Edrecii, kuwaas oo ahaa magaalooyinkii boqortooyadii Coog oo Baashaan ku yiil, waxaa la siiyey reer Maakiir kaasoo ahaa ina Manaseh, oo waxaa loo siiyey reer Maakiir badhkood sidii reerahoodu ahaayeen.
Their area also included half of the Gilead region, and the cities of Ashtaroth and Edrei where King Og had ruled. All that area was allotted to the clans descended from Manasseh’s son Makir.
32 Kuwanu waa dhaxalkii Muuse ku qaybiyey banaankii Moo'aab, oo ka shisheeya Webi Urdun, meel u dhow Yerixoo, oo xagga bari ka xigta.
Moses had allotted to those tribes the land that was on the plain of the Moab [region], on the east side of the Jordan [River], across from Jericho.
33 Laakiinse qabiilkii reer Laawi Muuse dhaxal ma uu siin. Waxaa dhaxal u ah Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil, sidii uu kula hadlay iyaga.
But Moses did not allot any land to the tribe of Levi because Yahweh, the God whom we Israelis worship, promised that he himself would always provide for them.
