Yooxanaa 18
1 Ciise markuu waxyaalahaas yidhi wuu la baxay xertiisii oo kala gudbay Tog Qidroon, meeshay ku tiil beer uu galay, isaga iyo xertiisiiba.
THESE said Jeshu, and went forth with his disciples over the ford of Kedrun, where there was a garden, which he entered with his disciples.
2 Yuudasna, kii gacangeliyey, meeshaas wuu garanayay, waayo, Ciise marar badan ayuu meeshaas xertiisii la tegi jiray.
But Jihuda, the traitor, also knew that place, because many-a-time had Jeshu there with his disciples convened.
3 Haddaba Yuudas isagoo askar iyo saraakiil ka wada wadaaddadii sare iyo Farrisiintii ayuu meeshaas la yimid laambado iyo siraaddo iyo hub.
Jihuda then took a band, and from the chief priests and Pharishee he took officers, and came thither with lanterns and lamps and arms.
4 Sidaa daraaddeed Ciise isagoo og waxa ku dhici doona oo dhan ayuu baxay oo ku yidhi iyaga, Kumaad doondoonaysaan?
But Jeshu, who knew every thing that should come upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom seek you?
5 Waxay ugu jawaabeen, Ciisihii reer Naasared. Markaasaa Ciise wuxuu ku yidhi, Isagii baan ahay. Waxaana iyaga la taagnaa Yuudas kii gacangeliyey.
They say to him, Jeshu Natsroia. Jeshu saith to them, I am. And Jihuda the traitor was also standing with them.
6 Sidaa daraaddeed Ciise markuu ku yidhi, Isagii baan ahay, dib bay u socdeen, oo dhulkay ku dhaceen.
And when Jeshu had said to them, I am, they went backward and fell upon the ground.
7 Mar kale haddaba ayuu weyddiiyey, oo ku yidhi, Kumaad doondoonaysaan? Oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Ciisihii reer Naasared.
And Jeshu again asked them, Whom seek you? Then they said, Jeshu Natsroia.
8 Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, Waan idiin sheegay inaan isagii ahay. Haddaba haddaad i doonaysaan, kuwan iska daaya, ha tageene.
Jeshu saith to them, I have told you that I am; and if me you seek, let these go.
9 Wuxuu saas u yidhi inuu dhammaado hadalkii uu ku hadlay oo ahaa, Kuwii aad i siisay, midkoodna ma lumin.
That the word might be fulfilled which he spake, Of those whom thou hast given me I have not lost even one.
10 Simoon Butros haddaba, isagoo seef haysta, ayuu soo bixiyey, oo wuxuu ku dhuftay wadaadka sare addoonkiisii, oo ka gooyay dhegta midigta. Addoonkii magiciisu wuxuu ahaa Malkos.
But Shemun Kipha had a sword upon him, and he drew it, and smote the servant of the high priest, and took off his right ear.
11 Sidaa daraaddeed Ciise wuxuu Butros ku yidhi, Seefta galkeeda ku celi. Koobka Aabbuhu i siiyey miyaanan cabbayn?
And the name of the servant was Molek. Jeshu said to Kipha, Put up the sword into its sheath; the cup which my Father hath given me shall I not drink it?
12 Haddaba askartii iyo ninkii u sarreeyey iyo saraakiishii Yuhuudda ayaa Ciise qabtay, markaasay xidhxidheen,
Then the band and the captains and the officials of the Jihudoyee took Jeshu and bound him,
13 oo markii hore waxay u geeyeen Annas, waayo, wuxuu ahaa soddoggii Kayafas oo ahaa wadaadkii sare sannaddaas.
and brought him unto Chanan first, because he was father-in-law of Kaiapha, he who was the high priest of that year.
14 Kayafas wuxuu ahaa kii kula taliyey Yuhuudda inay u roon tahay in nin keliyahu dadka u dhinto.
Now it was Kaiapha, he, who had counselled the Jihudoyee that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
15 Waxaa Ciise daba socday Simoon Butros iyo mid kale oo xer ah. Ninkaas xerta ahaa wadaadka sare waa garanayay, wuuna la galay Ciise barxadda wadaadkii sare.
But Shemun Kipha, and one of the other disciples, came after Jeshu. And that disciple knew the chief of the priests, and went in with Jeshu into the hall.
16 Butros se wuxuu taagnaa albaabka agtiisa oo dibadda ah. Sidaa daraaddeed kii kale oo xerta ahaa oo wadaadka sare garanayay ayaa dibadda u soo baxay oo la hadlay tii albaabka ilaalinaysay, oo Butros ayuu soo geliyey.
But Shemun stood without at the door. And that other disciple, who knew the chief of the priests, went out and told the keeper of the door to admit Shemun.
17 Gabadhii albaabka ilaalinaysay waxay Butros ku tidhi, Adiguna ma waxaad tahay mid ka mid ah ninkan xertiisa? Wuxuu ku yidhi, Ma ihi.
But the damsel keeping the door said to Shemun, Art thou also of the disciples of this man? He saith to her, No.
18 Markaasaa waxaa taagnaayeen addoommadii iyo saraakiishii oo dab dhuxul ah sameeyey, maxaa yeelay, dhaxan bay ahayd, wayna kulaalayeen. Butrosna wuu la joogay, isagoo taagan oo dabka kulaalaya.
And the servants and officials were standing, and they had set a fire to warm them, because it was cold; and Shemun stood also with them and warmed himself.
19 Haddaba wadaadkii sare wuxuu Ciise wax ka weyddiiyey xertiisii iyo waxbariddiisii.
And the high priest questioned Jeshu concerning his disciples, and concerning his doctrine.
20 Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, Bayaan baan dunida ula hadlay, oo weligay wax baan ku bari jiray sunagogyada iyo macbudka, meesha ay Yuhuudda oo dhammi isugu timaado, oo waxba si qarsoon uma odhan jirin.
And Jeshu said to him, I openly discoursed with the people, and, at all time, taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jihudoyee assemble. And nothing in secret have I spoken.
21 Maxaad ii weyddiinaysaa? Weyddii kuwa maqlay waxaan kula hadlay. Bal eeg, kuwaasaa og waxaan idhi e.
Why askest thou me? Ask them who have heard what I have said with them. Behold, they know every thing that I have said.
22 Markuu sidaas yidhi saraakiishii midkood oo ag taagnaa ayaa Ciise dharbaaxay isagoo leh, Ma saasaad ugu jawaabaysaa wadaadka sare?
And as these (words) he spake, one of the officers who stood (by) struck Jeshu upon his cheek, and said to him, Thus givest thou the answer to the chief of the priests?
23 Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, Haddii aan si xun u hadlay, xumaanta ka marag fur, haddaan si wanaagsan u hadlayse, maxaad ii dharbaaxaysaa?
Jeshu replied and said to him, If wickedly I have spoken, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why hast thou struck me?
24 Annas haddaba wuxuu isagoo xidhxidhan u diray Kayafas oo ahaa wadaadka sare.
But Chanan had sent Jeshu bound unto Kaiapha, chief of the priests.
25 Simoon Butros ayaa taagnaa oo dabka kulaalayay. Haddaba waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Adiguna ma waxaad tahay xertiisii midkood? Markaasuu inkiray oo yidhi, Ma ihi.
And Shemun Kipha stood and warmed (himself), and they say to him, Thou art also one of his disciples? And he denied and said, I am not.
26 Addoommadii wadaadka sare midkood oo qaraabo ay ahaayeen kii Butros uu dhegta ka gooyay wuxuu yidhi, Miyaanan beerta kugula arkin isaga?
One of the servants of the chief of the priests said to him, the brother of him whose ear Shemun had cut off, Did not I see thee with him in the garden?
27 Haddaba Butros mar kale ayuu inkiray, oo markiiba diiqii baa ciyey.
And again Shemun denied. And in the same hour the cock crowed.
28 Haddaba Ciise ayay ka kaxeeyeen Kayafas ilaa guriga taliyaha. Waxay ahayd aroortii hore, oo iyagu ma ay gelin guriga taliyaha si aanay u nijaasoobin, laakiinse inay cashadii Iidda Kormaridda wax ka cunaan.
NOW they led Jeshu from Kaiapha into the praetorium, and it was early. But they would not enter the praetorium, that they might not be defiled, until they should have eaten the petscha.
29 Bilaatos haddaba ayaa u soo baxay iyagii oo ku yidhi, Maxaad ku ashtakaynaysaan ninkan?
But Pilatos came forth to them without, and said to them, What accusation have you against this man?
30 Way u jawaabeen oo ku yidhaahdeen, Ninkanu haddaanu ahayn xumaanfale, kuuma aannu soo gacangelinneen.
They answered and said to him, If he were not a worker of evils, we would not to thee have delivered him.
31 Haddaba Bilaatos wuxuu ku yidhi, Idinku qaata, oo sharcigiinna ku xukuma. Yuhuuddu waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Xalaal nooma aha inaannu nin dillo,
Pilatos saith to them, Take you him, and judge him according to your law.
32 inuu ahaado hadalkii Ciise ku hadlay kolkuu sheegay siduu u dhiman doono.
The Jihudoyee say to him, It is not lawful for us to put any one to death. That the word that Jeshu spake might be accomplished, when he declared by what death he should die.
33 Bilaatos haddaba guriga taliyaha ayuu mar kale galay oo Ciise u yeedhay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Adigu ma waxaad tahay Boqorka Yuhuudda?
But Pilatos entered the Praetorium, and called Jeshu, and said to him, Art thou the king of the Jihudoyee?
34 Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, Ma adaa iska odhanaya waxaas, mise kuwa kalaa iiga kaa sheegay?
Jeshu saith to him, Of thyself sayest thou this, or did others tell thee concerning me?
35 Bilaatos ayaa ugu jawaabay, Ma Yuhuudi baan ahay? Quruuntaadii iyo wadaaddadii sare ayaa ii soo kaa gacangeliyeye. Maxaad samaysay?
Pilatos saith to him, Am I a Jihudoya? The sons of thy people and the chief priests have delivered thee to me: what hast thou done?
36 Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, Boqortooyadaydu tan dunidan ma aha. Haddii boqortooyadaydu tan dunidan tahay, midiidinyadaydu waa ii diriri lahaayeen inaan Yuhuudda la ii gacangelin. Imminkase boqortooyadaydu tan halkan ma aha.
Jeshu saith to him, My kingdom is not from this world. If from this world were my kingdom, my servants would have fought, that I should not have been delivered to the Jihudoyee. But now my kingdom is not from hence.
37 Sidaa daraaddeed Bilaatos ayaa ku yidhi, Haddaba ma boqor baad tahay? Ciise ayaa ugu jawaabay, Waad tidhaahdaa inaan boqor ahay. Taas ayaan u dhashay, oo taas ayaan dunida u imid, inaan marag u furo runta. Mid kasta oo kan runta ah wuu maqlaa codkayga.
Pilatos saith to him, Then thou art a king? Jeshu saith to him, Thou hast said that I am a king. For this am I born, and for this I came into the world, to testify of the truth. Every one who is of the truth heareth my voice.
38 Bilaatos ayaa ku yidhi, Waa maxay runtu? Oo markuu sidaa ku yidhi, mar kale ayuu Yuhuudda u baxay oo ku yidhi, Eedna isagii kuma aan helin.
Pilatos said to him, What is the truth? And when he had said this, he went forth again to the Jihudoyee, and said to them, I find not one cause in him.
39 Laakiin waxaad leedihiin caado inaan mid idiin sii daayo Iidda Kormaridda. Haddaba ma doonaysaan inaan idiin sii daayo Boqorkii Yuhuudda?
But you have a custom that one I should release to you at the petscha. Will you, therefore, that I release to you this King of the Jihudoyee?
40 Kolkaasay dhammaan mar kale qayliyeen iyagoo leh, Ninkan ma aha, laakiin Baraabbas. Baraabbas wuxuu ahaa waxdhace.
And they all cried and said, Not this, but Bar Aba. Now this Bar Aba was a robber.
