< Yeremyaah 47 >
1 Kanu waa Eraygii Rabbiga oo reer Falastiin ku saabsanaa oo Nebi Yeremyaah u yimid intaan Fircoon Gaasa wax ku dhufan ka hor.
The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before the time that Pharaoh smote Gazzah.
2 Rabbigu wuxuu leeyahay, Bal ogaada, xagga woqooyi biyaa ka soo kici doona, oo waxay noqon doonaan webi aad u daadanaya, oo waxay qarqin doonaan dalka iyo waxa ku dhex jira oo dhan, iyo magaalada iyo waxa dhex degganba, oo markaas ayaa raggu qaylin doonaa, oo dadka dalka deggan oo dhammuna way wada ooyi doonaan.
Thus hath said the Lord, Behold, waters are coming up out of the north, and they shall become an overflowing stream, and shall overflow the land, and what filleth it; the city, and those that dwell therein: and the men shall cry aloud, and every inhabitant of the land shall wail.
3 Gurdanka qoobabka fardihiisa xoogga badan iyo yaacidda gaadhifardoodyadiisa, iyo xiinka giraangirihiisa aawadood ayaa aabbayaashu ayan dib u dhugan doonin carruurtooda, waayo, gacmahoodu cabsi bay la taag gabeen,
Because of the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his stud-horses, because of the rushing sound of his chariots, the rumbling of his wheels, fathers do not turn round to their children from their feebleness of hands;
4 waana maalinta u imanaysa inay reer Falastiin wada baabbi'iso, iyo inay kaalmeeye kasta oo hadhay Turos iyo Siidoon ka baabbi'iso, waayo, Rabbigu wuxuu baabbi'in doonaa reer Falastiin iyo kuwa hadhay ee gasiiradda Kaftoor oo dhan.
Because of the day that cometh to devastate all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth; for the Lord devastateth the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphthor.
5 Baroorashaa Gaasa heshay, Ashqeloonna waa lala baabbi'iyey kuwii dooxadooda ku hadhay; ilaa goormaad isgoogooynaysaa?
Baldness is come upon Gazzah; ruined is Ashkelon with the remnant of their valley: how long yet wilt thou cut thyself?
6 Rabbiga seeftiisay, ilaa goormaad xasilloonaan la'aanaysaa? Galkaaga gal, naso, oo xasilloonow.
Woe! thou sword of the Lord, how long yet wilt thou not be quiet? withdraw thyself into thy scabbard, take thee rest, and be still.
7 Sidee baad u xasilli kartaa, iyadoo uu Rabbigu ku amray? Ashqeloon iyo badda xeebteedaba ayuu iyada ku amray.
Yet how canst thou be quiet? When the Lord hath given it a charge, against Ashkelon, and against the sea-coast—thither hath he destined it.
