1 Reer Efrayim waxay quutaan dabayl oo waxay daba galaan dabaysha bari. Had iyo goorba been iyo baabba' bay badiyaan, oo waxay axdi la dhigtaan dadka dalka Ashuur, saliidna Masar bay u qaadaan.
But Ephraim is an evil spirit, he has chased the east wind all the day: he has multiplied empty and vain things, and made a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil has gone in the way of traffic into Egypt.
2 Oo weliba Rabbigu dacwad buu la leeyahay dadka Yahuudah, oo wuxuu reer Yacquub u ciqaabi doonaa si waafaqsan jidadkooda, oo wuxuu u abaalmarin doonaa si waafaqsan falimahooda.
And the Lord [has] a controversy with Juda, in order to punish Jacob: according to his ways and according to his practices will he recompense him.
3 Yacquub markuu uurka ku jiray walaalkiis buu cedhibta ku dhegay, oo markuu nin noqdayna Ilaah buu la dagaallamay.
He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his labours he had power with God.
4 Haah, oo wuxuu la dagaallamay malaa'igtii, wuuna ka adkaaday, wuuna ooyay oo baryay. Wuxuu isagii ka helay Beytel, oo halkaasuu nagula hadlay.
And he prevailed with the angel and was strong: they wept, and intreated me: they found me in the house of On, and there [a word] was spoken to them.
5 Rabbigu waa Ilaaha ciidammada. Rabbigu waa magiciisa lagu xusuusto.
But the Lord God Almighty shall be his memorial.
6 Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed Ilaahaaga u soo jeeso, oo naxariista iyo garsooridda xaji, oo had iyo goorna Ilaahaaga sug.
Thou therefore shalt return to thy God: keep thou mercy and judgment, and draw nigh to thy God continually.
7 Dadkaygu waa baayacmushtari, oo waxaa gacanta ugu jira kafadihii khiyaanada, waxay jecel yihiin inay wax dulmaan.
[As for] Chanaan, in his hand is a balance of unrighteousness: he has loved to tyrannize.
8 Oo reer Efrayim wuxuu yidhi, Sida xaqiiqada ah taajir baan noqday, oo maal baan helay, oo innaba hawlahayga oo dhan lagama heli doono xumaan dembi ah.
And Ephraim said, Nevertheless I am rich, I have found refreshment to myself. None of his labours shall be found [available] to him, by reason of the sins which he has committed.
9 Laakiinse anigu waxaan ahay Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah oo idinka soo bixiyey dalkii Masar, oo weliba waxaan ka dhigi doonaa inaad mar kale teendhooyin degganaataan sidii wakhtigii iidda.
But I the Lord thy God brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: I will yet cause thee to dwell in tabernacles, according to the days of the feast.
10 Oo weliba waxaan la hadlay nebiyadii, oo waxaan badiyey waxyaalo aan tusay, oo nebiyadana waxaan u soo dhiibay masaalooyin.
And I will speak to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and by the means of the prophets I was represented.
11 Reer Gilecaad waa xumaan miidhan oo iyagu dhammaantood waa wax aan waxtar lahayn. Waxay Gilgaal ku allabaryaan dibiyo, oo weliba meelahooda allabarigu waa sida tuulmooyin ku dhex yaal jeexjeexyada beerta oo kale.
If Galaad exists not, then the chiefs in Galaad when they sacrificed were false, and their altars were as heaps on the ground of the field.
12 Yacquub wuxuu ku dhex cararay beertii Aram, oo Israa'iil inuu naag helo buu u shaqeeyey oo ido u ilaaliyey.
And Jacob retreated into the plain of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and waited for a wife.
13 Oo Rabbigu reer binu Israa'iil nebi buu kaga soo bixiyey dalkii Masar, oo nebi baa iyagii lagu ilaashay.
And the Lord brought Israel out of the land of Egypt by a prophet, and by a prophet was he preserve.
14 Reer Efrayim si qadhaadh bay Rabbiga uga xanaajiyeen, haddaba dhiiggoodu korkooduu ku hadhi doonaa, oo ceebtoodana Sayidkoodu waa ku soo celin doonaa.
Ephraim was angry and excited, therefore his blood shall be poured out upon him, and the Lord shall recompense to him his reproach.
