1 Markaasaa Israa'iil la guuray wixii uu haystay oo dhan, oo wuxuu yimid Bi'ir Shebac, oo halkaasuu Ilaaha aabbihiis Isxaaq allabaryo ugu bixiyey.
And Israel journeys, and all that he has, and comes to Beer-Sheba, and sacrifices sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;
2 Markaasaa Ilaah riyooyinka habeenka kula hadlay Israa'iil oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Yacquubow, Yacquubow. Isna wuxuu yidhi, Waa i kan.
and God speaks to Israel in visions of the night and says, “Jacob, Jacob”; and he says, “Here I [am].”

And He says, “I [am] God, God of your father, do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I set you there for a great nation;

I go down with you to Egypt, and I also certainly bring you up, and Joseph puts his hand on your eyes.”
5 Markaasaa Yacquub ka tegey Bi'ir Shebac, wiilashii Israa'iilna waxay aabbahood Yacquub, iyo dhallaankoodii, iyo dumarkoodiiba ku qaadeen gaadhifardoodkii Fircoon u soo diray in isaga lagu soo qaado.
And Jacob rises from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel carry away their father Jacob, and their infants, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh has sent to carry him,
6 Oo waxay kaxaysteen xoolahoodii, iyo alaabtoodii ay ka heleen dalkii Kancaan, oo waxayna yimaadeen Masar, Yacquub iyo farcankiisii la socday oo dhammuba;
and they take their livestock, and their goods which they have acquired in the land of Canaan, and come into Egypt—Jacob, and all his seed with him,
7 kuwaas oo ahaa wiilashiisii iyo wiilashiisii wiilashoodii isaga la socday, iyo gabdhihiisii iyo wiilashiisii gabdhahoodii. Farcankiisii oo dhanna wuxuu keenay Masar.
his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, indeed, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
8 Kuwanu waa magacyadii reer binu Israa'iil oo Masar yimid, Yacquub iyo wiilashiisii: Ruubeen wuxuu ahaa curadkii Yacquub.
And these [are] the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob’s firstborn, Reuben.
9 Wiilashii Ruubeenna waxay ahaayeen Xanoog, iyo Falluu, iyo Xesroon, iyo Karmii.
And sons of Reuben: Enoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10 Wiilashii Simecoonna waxay ahaayeen Yemuu'eel, iyo Yaamiin, iyo Ohad, iyo Yaakiin, iyo Sohar, iyo Shaa'uul oo ay naag reer Kancaan ihi dhashay.
And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite.
11 Wiilashii Laawina waxay ahaayeen Gershoon, iyo Qohaad, iyo Meraarii.
And sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12 Wiilashii Yahuudahna waxay ahaayeen Ceer, iyo Oonaan, iyo Sheelaah, iyo Feres, iyo Serax; laakiinse Ceer iyo Oonaan waxay ku dhinteen dalkii Kancaan. Wiilashii Feresna waxay ahaayeen Xesroon iyo Xaamuul.
And sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan). And sons of Perez are Hezron and Hamul.
13 Wiilashii Isaakaarna waxay ahaayeen Toolac iyo Fuwaah, iyo Yoob, iyo Shimroon.
And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
14 Wiilashii Sebulunna waxay ahaayeen Sered, iyo Eeloon, iyo Yaxle'eel.
And sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15 Intaasu waa wiilashii Lee'ah oo ay Yacquub ugu dhashay Fadan Araam, iyo weliba gabadhiisii Diinah ahayd. Yacquub wiilashiisa iyo gabdhihiisa oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen saddex iyo soddon.
These [are] sons of Leah whom she bore to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and his daughter Dinah; all the persons of his sons and his daughters [are] thirty-three.
16 Wiilashii Gaadna waxay ahaayeen Sifiyoon, iyo Xaggii, iyo Shuunii, iyo Esboon, iyo Ceerii, iyo Aroodii, iyo Areelii.
And sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 Wiilashii Aasheerna waxay ahaayeen Yimnaah, iyo Yishwaah, iyo Yishwii, iyo Beriicaah, iyo walaashood Serax; wiilashii Beriicaahna waxay ahaayeen Xeber iyo Malkii'eel.
And sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and their sister Serah. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
18 Kuwanu waa wiilashii Silfah, tii uu Laabaan siiyey gabadhiisii Lee'ah, oo intaasay Yacquub u dhashay, waxayna ahaayeen lix iyo toban.
These [are] sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah, and she bears these to Jacob—sixteen persons.
19 Naagtii Yacquub oo Raaxeel ahayd wiilasheedii waxay ahaayeen Yuusuf iyo Benyaamiin.
Sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20 Yuusufna dalka Masar waxaa ugu dhashay Manaseh iyo Efrayim, oo waxaa u dhashay Aasenad ina Footiiferac, oo wadaadkii Oon ahaa.
And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, has borne to him) [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.
21 Wiilashii Benyaamiinna waxay ahaayeen Belac, iyo Beker, iyo Ashbeel, iyo Geeraa, iyo Nacamaan, iyo Eexii, iyo Rosh, iyo Mufiim, iyo Xufiim, iyo Ared.
And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22 Kuwanu waa wiilashii Raaxeel u dhashay Yacquub, kulligoodna waxay ahaayeen afar iyo toban.
These [are] sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons [are] fourteen.
23 Wiilashii Daanna waxay ahaayeen Xushiim.
And sons of Dan: Hushim.
24 Wiilashii Naftaalina waxay ahaayeen Yaxse'eel, iyo Guunii, iyo Yeser, iyo Shilleem.
And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25 Kuwanuna waa wiilashii Bilhah, tii uu Laabaan siiyey gabadhiisii Raaxeel, oo intaasay Yacquub u dhashay; kulligoodna waxay ahaayeen toddoba.
These [are] sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel; and she bears these to Jacob—all the persons [are] seven.
26 Intii Yacquub Masar la timid, oo xanjaadkiisa ka soo baxday, haddaan lagu darin wiilashii Yacquub naagahooda, kulligood waxay ahaayeen lix iyo lixdan.
All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob’s sons, all the persons [are] sixty-six.
27 Wiilashii Yuusuf Masar ugu dhashayna waxay ahaayeen laba. Reerkii Yacquub dadkiisii Masar yimid oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen toddobaatan.
And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt [are] two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt [are] seventy.
28 Markaasuu wuxuu iska hor mariyey Yahuudah inuu Yuusuf u tago, si uu u tuso jidka loo maro Goshen; oo waxay yimaadeen dalkii Goshen.
And Judah he has sent before him to Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;
29 Yuusufna wuxuu diyaarsaday gaadhifaraskiisii, oo aabbihiis Israa'iil ayuu kaga hor tegey Goshen; oo markuu isagii arkay ayuu qoortiisii dhab yidhi, qoortiisana wuxuu ku dul ooyay wakhti dheer.
and Joseph harnesses his chariot, and goes up to meet his father Israel, to Goshen, and appears to him, and falls on his neck, and weeps on his neck again;
30 Israa'iilna wuxuu Yuusuf ku yidhi, Haddaba aan iska dhinto, mar haddaan arkay wejigaaga, oo aad weli nooshahay.
and Israel says to Joseph, “Let me die this time, after my seeing your face, for you [are] yet alive.”
31 Yuusufna wuxuu walaalihiis iyo reerkii aabbihiis ku yidhi, Waan tegi, oo Fircoon baan u sheegi, oo waxaan ku odhan, Walaalahay iyo reerkii aabbahay oo joogi jiray dalka Kancaan ayaa ii yimid.
And Joseph says to his brothers, and to the house of his father, “I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say to him, My brothers, and the house of my father who [are] in the land of Canaan have come to me;
32 Nimankaasuna waa adhijirro, waayo, waxay ahaan jireen lo'ley; waxayna la yimaadeen adhigoodii, iyo lo'doodii, iyo waxay haysteen oo dhan.
and the men [are] feeders of a flock, for they have been men of livestock; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.
33 Markii Fircoon idiin yeedho, oo idinku yidhaahdo, Shuqulkiinnu waa maxay?
And it has come to pass, when Pharaoh calls for you and has said, What [are] your works?
34 waxaad ku tidhaahdaan, Annagoo addoommadaada ah waxaannu tan iyo yaraantayadii ahaan jirnay lo'ley, annaga iyo awowayaashayoba; si aad u degtaan dalka Goshen; waayo, adhijir waluba waa u karaahiyo Masriyiinta.
That you have said, Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is everyone feeding a flock.”
