1 Haddaba kuwanuna waa farcankii Ceesaw, isna waa Edom.

Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.

2 Ceesaw wuxuu gabdhihii reer Kancaan ka guursaday Caadah ina Eeloon kii reer Xeed, iyo Aaholiibaamah ina Canah, oo ahayd ina Sibecoon kii reer Xiwi,

Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,

3 iyo Basmad oo ahayd ina Ismaaciil, oo la dhalatay Nebayod.

And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.

4 Caadahna waxay Ceesaw u dhashay Elifas, Basmadna waxay u dhashay Recuu'eel;

And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.

5 Aaholiibaamahna waxay u dhashay Yecuush, iyo Yaclaam, iyo Qorax; kuwanu waa wiilashii Ceesaw, oo isaga ugu dhashay dalkii Kancaan.

Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.

6 Markaasaa Ceesaw kaxaystay naagihiisii, iyo wiilashiisii iyo gabdhihiisii, iyo dadkii gurigiisa oo dhan, iyo lo'diisii, iyo xayawaankiisii oo dhan, iyo wixii uu lahaa oo dhan oo uu ku urursaday dalkii Kancaan; markaasuu tegey dal ka fog walaalkiis Yacquub.

So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.

7 Waayo, xoolahoodu aad bay u badnaayeen oo ma ay wada degi karin; dhulkii ay degganaan jireenna ma uu wada qaadi karin lo'dooda aawadeed.

For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.

8 Ceesawna wuxuu degay Buur Seciir; Ceesaw waa Edom.

Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.

9 Kuwanuna waa farcankii Ceesaw oo ahaa reer Edom aabbahood oo degganaan jiray Buur Seciir.

So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.

10 Kuwanu waa wiilashii Ceesaw magacyadoodii, Elifas oo ahaa wiilkii Caadah oo naagtii Ceesaw ahayd, iyo Recuu'eel oo ahaa wiilkii Basmad oo naagtii Ceesaw ahayd.

These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.

11 Wiilashii Elifasna waxay ahaayeen Teemaan, Oomaar, Sefoo, iyo Gactaam iyo Qenas.

And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

12 Timnac waxay ahayd addoontii uu Elifas ina Ceesaw qabay, oo waxay Elifas u dhashay Camaaleq; kuwanu waa wiilashii naagtii Ceesaw oo Caadah ahayd.

And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.

13 Kuwanuna waa wiilashii Recuu'eel: Nahad, iyo Serax, iyo Shammah, iyo Misaah; kuwanuna waxay ahaayeen wiilashii naagtii Ceesaw oo Basmad ahayd.

And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.

14 Kuwanuna waxay ahaayeen wiilashii naagtii Ceesaw oo ahayd Aaholiibaamah, gabadhii Canah oo ahayd ina Sibecoon; oo iyana waxay Ceesaw u dhashay Yacuush, iyo Yaclaam, iyo Qorax.

And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.

15 Kuwanu waxa weeye ugaasyadii wiilashii Ceesaw. Waa wiilashii Elifas kii ahaa curadkii Ceesaw kuwaas oo ah ugaas Teemaan, iyo ugaas Oomaar, iyo ugaas Sefoo, iyo ugaas Qenas,

These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,

16 ugaas Qorax, iyo ugaas Gactaam, iyo ugaas Camaaleq. Kuwanu waa ugaasyadii Elifas dhalay oo dalkii Edom joogay; kuwanu waa wiilashii Caadah.

Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.

17 Kuwanuna waa wiilashii Recuu'eel oo ahaa ina Ceesaw: ugaas Nahad, iyo ugaas Serax, iyo ugaas Shammah, iyo ugaas Misaah. Kuwanuna waa ugaasyadii uu Recuu'eel dhalay oo dalkii Edom joogay; kuwanu waa wiilashii naagtii Ceesaw oo Basmad ahayd.

And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.

18 Kuwanuna waa wiilashii naagtii Ceesaw oo Aaholiibaamah ahayd: ugaas Yecuush, iyo ugaas Yaclaam, iyo ugaas Qorax. Kuwanuna waa ugaasyadii ay dhashay naagtii Ceesaw oo ahayd Aaholiibaamah, gabadhii Canah.

Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.

19 Kuwanu waa wiilashii Ceesaw oo ahaa Edom, oo kuwanu waa ugaasyadoodii.

These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.

20 Kuwanuna waa wiilashii Seciir, kii reer Xor, oo ahaa kuwii dhulka degganaa, Lootaan, iyo Shoobaal, iyo Sibecoon, iyo Canah,

These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.

21 iyo Dishon, iyo Eeser, iyo Diishaan. Kuwanu waa ugaasyadii reer Xor, oo ahaa ilma Seciir oo degganaa dhulkii Edom.

And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.

22 Carruurtii Lootaanna waxay ahaayeen Xori iyo Heemaam, Lootaan walaashiisna waxay ahayd Timnac.

And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.

23 Kuwanuna waa carruurtii Shoobaal; Calwaan, iyo Maanahad, iyo Ceebaal, iyo Shefo, iyo Oonaam.

And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

24 Kuwanuna waa carruurtii Sibecoon; Ayah, iyo Canah. Kanu waa Canah kii cidlada ka helay ilaha biyaha oo kulul, markuu daajinayay dameerrada aabbihiis Sibecoon.

And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.

25 Kuwanuna waa carruurtii Canah; Dishon, iyo Aaholiibaamah, gabadhii Canah.

And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.

26 Kuwanuna waa carruurtii Dishon; Xemdaan, iyo Eshbaan, iyo Yitraan, iyo Keraan.

Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

27 Kuwanuna waa carruurtii Eeser; Bilhaan, iyo Sacwaan, iyo Caqaan.

The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.

28 Kuwanuna waa carruurtii Diishaan; Cuus iyo Araan.

The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.

29 Kuwanuna waa ugaasyadii reer Xor; ugaas Lootaan, iyo ugaas Shoobaal, iyo ugaas Sibecoon, iyo ugaas Canah,

These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,

30 ugaas Dishon, iyo ugaas Eeser, iyo ugaas Diishaan. Kuwanuna waa ugaasyadii reer Xor siday ahaayeen ugaasyadoodii dalka Seciir joogay.

Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.

31 Kuwanuna waa boqorradii xukumi jiray dalkii Edom intaan boqorna xukumin reer binu Israa'iil.

And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.

32 Belac ina Becoor wuxuu xukumi jiray Edom, magaaladiisii magaceedana waxaa la odhan jiray Dinhaabah.

Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.

33 Markaasaa Belac dhintay, oo waxaa meeshiisii xukumi jiray Yoobaab ina Serax oo reer Bosraah ahaa.

And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.

34 Yoobaabna waa dhintay, oo waxaa meeshiisii xukumi jiray Xushaam oo ka yimid dhulkii reer Teemaan.

When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.

35 Xushaamna waa dhintay, oo waxaa meeshiisii xukumi jiray Hadad ina Bedad, oo reer Midyaan ku laayay berrinkii Moo'aab, magaaladiisii magaceedana waxaa la odhan jiray Cawiid.

And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.

36 Markaasaa Hadadna dhintay, oo waxaa meeshiisii xukumi jiray Samlah oo reer Masreqah ahaa.

When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.

37 Markaasaa Samlahna dhintay, oo waxaa meeshiisii xukumi jiray Sha'uul oo reer Rexobod ahaa oo webiga ag degganaa.

When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.

38 Markaasaa Sha'uulna dhintay, oo waxaa meeshiisii xukumi jiray Bacal Xaanaan ina Cakboor.

When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.

39 Bacal Xaanaan ina Cakboorna waa dhintay, oo waxaa meeshiisii xukumi jiray Hadar, magaaladiisii magaceedana waxaa la odhan jiray Faacuu; naagtiisa magaceeduna wuxuu ahaa Meheetabeel, oo ay Matreed gabadha Meesaahaab dhashay.

And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

40 Kuwanuna waa magacyadii ugaasyadii Ceesaw dhalay, siday ahaayeen qabiilooyinkoodii iyo magacyadii meelahoodii ay degganaan jireen, waana ugaas Timnac, iyo ugaas Calwah, iyo ugaas Yeteed,

Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,

41 iyo ugaas Aaholiibaamah, iyo ugaas Eelaah, iyo ugaas Fiinon;

Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,

42 iyo ugaas Qenas, iyo ugaas Teemaan, iyo ugaas Mibsaar;

Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,

43 iyo ugaas Magdii'eel, iyo ugaas Ciiraam. Kuwanu waa ugaasyadii reer Edom sidii ay u degganaayeen dhulkii ay lahaayeen. Kanu waa Ceesaw oo ahaa reer Edom aabbahood.

Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
