1 Haddaba kuwanu waa farcankii wiilashii Nuux, kuwaas oo ahaa Sheem, Xaam iyo Yaafed: oo wiilal baa u dhashay iyaga daadkii dabadiis.
Now, these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and there were born to them sons after the flood.
2 Wiilashii Yaafed waxay ahaayeen Gomer, iyo Maajuuj, iyo Maaday, iyo Yaawaan, iyo Tubal, iyo Mesheg, iyo Tiiraas.
The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Javan and Tubal, —and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 Wiilashii Gomerna waxay ahaayeen Ashkenas, iyo Riifad, iyo Togarmaah.
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 Wiilashii Yaawaanna waxay ahaayeen Eliishah, iyo Tarshiish, iyo Kitiim iyo Dodaaniim.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish. Kittim, and Rodanim, —
5 Kuwaasay jasiiradihii quruumuhu ugu kala qaybsameen waddammadoodii, dad kasta sidii afkoodii, iyo qabiilooyinkoodii, iyo quruumahoodii ay ahaayeen.
From these, were dispersed [the inhabitants] of the coastlands of the nations, in their lands, each man by his tongue, by their families in their nations.
6 Wiilashii Xaamna waxay ahaayeen Kuush, iyo Misrayim, iyo Fuud, iyo Kancaan.
And, the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Phut and Canaan.
7 Wiilashii Kuushna waxay ahaayeen Sebaa, iyo Xawiilaah, iyo Sabtaah, iyo Racmaah, iyo Sabteka: wiilashii Racmaahna waxay ahaayeen Shebaa, iyo Dedaan.
And, the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabtah and Raamah, and Sabtechah, —And the sons of Raamah, Sheba and Dedan.
8 Kuushna wuxuu dhalay Nimrod: wuxuuna bilaabay inuu noqdo mid dhulka xoog weyn ku leh.
And, Cush begat Nimrod.—he, became a hero in the earth;
9 Wuxuu ahaa ugaadhsade ku xoog weyn Rabbiga hortiisa: taas daraaddeed waxaa la yidhaahdaa, Sidii Nimrod ugaadhsade xoog weyn Rabbiga hortiisa.
he, became a hero of hunting before Yahweh, for this cause, it is said. Like Nimrod, a hero of hunting before Yahweh.
10 Bilowgii boqortooyadiisu waxay ahayd Baabel, iyo Ereg, iyo Akad, iyo Kalneh, waxayna ku yiilleen waddankii Shincaar.
So the beginning of his kingdom came to be Babel, and Erech, and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Dhulkaas wuu ka tegey oo wuxuu galay Ashuur, wuxuuna dhisay Nineweh, iyo Rexobod, iyo Kaalah,
From that land, went forth Asshur, —and he built Nineveh, and Rehoboth-ir, and Calah:
12 iyo Resen oo u dhexeeyey Nineweh iyo Kaalah, (taasuna waxay tahay magaalada weyn).
and Resen, between Niveveh and Calah, —the same is the great city.
13 Misrayimna wuxuu dhalay Luudiim, iyo Canaamiim, iyo Lehaabiim iyo Naftuxiim,
And, Mizraim, begat Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim, and Naphtuchim;
14 iyo Fatrusiim iyo Kasluxiim (oo ay reer Falastiin ka yimaadeen), iyo Kaftoriim.
and Pathrusim and Casluhim whence came forth Philistim and Caphtorim.
15 Kancaanna wuxuu dhalay Siidoon oo ahaa curadkiisii, iyo Xeed;
And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth:
16 iyo reer Yebuus, iyo reer Amor, iyo reer Girgaash;
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;
17 iyo reer Xiwi, iyo reer Carqi, iyo reer Siini;
and the Hivite and the Arkite, and the Sinite:
18 iyo reer Arwaad, iyo reer Semaar, iyo reer Xamaad: dabadeedna qabiilooyinkii Kancaan way kala firdheen.
and the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite, —and after-wards, were spread abroad the families of the Canaanite.
19 Oo soohdintii reer Kancaan waxay ka bilaabmaysay Siidoon, markii loo kaco xagga Geraar, ilaa Gaasa, oo markii loo kaco xagga Sodom iyo Gomora iyo Admah iyo Seboyim, ilaa Laashac.
And it came to pass that the boundary of the Canaanite was from Zidon, as thou enterest in towards Gerar unto Gaza, —as thou enterest in towards Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboim, as far as Lasha.
20 Kuwanu waxay ahaayeen wiilashii Xaam, sidii qabiilooyinkoodii, iyo afafkoodii, iyo waddammadoodii, iyo quruumahoodii ay ahaayeen.
These, are the sons of Ham, by their families by their tongues, in their lands in their nations.
21 Sheem oo aabbe u ahaa carruurtii Ceeber oo dhan, oo ahaa Yaafed walaalkiisii weynaa, isagana carruur baa u dhalatay.
Now, to Shem, father of all the sons of Eber, elder brother of Japheth, to him also, were children born.
22 Wiilashii Sheemna waxay ahaayeen Ceelaam, iyo Ashuur, iyo Arfaksad, iyo Luud, iyo Araam.
The sons of Shem, Elam and Asshur, —and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.
23 Wiilashii Araamna waxay ahaayeen Cuus, iyo Xuul, iyo Geter, iyo Mash.
And, the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul, and Gether and Mash.
24 Arfaksadna wuxuu dhalay Salah; Salahna wuxuu dhalay Ceeber.
Now Arpachshad, begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
25 Ceeberna waxaa u dhashay laba wiil: mid magiciisu wuxuu ahaa Feleg; waayo, waagiisii ayaa dhulku qaybsamay; magaca walaalkiisna wuxuu ahaa Yoqtaan.
And to Eber, were born two sons, —the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days, was the earth divided, and the name of his brother was Joktan.
26 Yoqtaanna wuxuu dhalay Almoodaad, iyo Shelef, iyo Xasarmaawed, iyo Yerah;
Now, Joktan, begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;
27 iyo Hadooraam, iyo Uusaal, iyo Diqlah;
and Hadoram and Uzal, and Diklah:
28 iyo Coobaal, iyo Abiimaa'el, iyo Shebaa;
and Obal and Abimael, and Sheba:
29 iyo Oofir, iyo Xawiilaah, iyo Yoobaab: kuwaasu kulli waxay ahaayeen wiilashii Yoqtaan.
and Ophir and Havilah, and Jobab—all these were sons of Joktan.
30 Meeshay degganaayeenna waxay ka bilaabmaysay Meesha, markii loo kaco xagga Sefaar, buurta bari.
And it came to pass that their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou enterest in towards Sephar, the mountain of the east.
31 Kuwanu waxay ahaayeen wiilashii Sheem; sidii qabiilooyinkoodii, iyo afafkoodii, iyo waddammadoodii, iyo quruumahoodii ay ahaayeen.
These are the sons of Shem, by their families by their tongues, in their lands by their nations.
32 Kuwanu waa qabiilooyinkii wiilashii Nuux; sidii farcankoodii iyo quruumahoodii ay ahaayeen; oo kuwanaa quruumuhu ka kala qaybsameen daadkii dabadiis.
These, are the families of the sons of Noah, by their generations in their nations, and from these, were dispersed the nations in the earth after the flood.
