1 Haddii nin dibi ama lax xado, oo uu qasho ama iibiyo, waa inuu shan dibi dibigii ku magdhabo, laxdiina afar laxaad.
When a man stealeth an ox or a sheep, and slayeth it, or selleth it, with five of the herd, shall he make good—for the ox, or with four of the flock, for the sheep.
2 Haddii tuug la helo isagoo guri u dhacaya, oo inta wax lagu dhufto uu dhinto, markaas kii dilay dhiig eed kuma laha.
If, in the place of breaking in, the thief be found and he is smitten so that he dieth, there is due for him no shedding of blood:
3 Haddiise qorraxdu u soo baxdo, markaas dhiigga eed buu ku leeyahay. Waa inuu u soo celiyaa, hadduusanse waxba haysan, de markaas waa in isaga la iibiyaa tuugnimadiisii aawadeed.
should the sun have arisen upon him, there would be shedding of blood due for him, —he is surely to make restitution, if he hath nothing, then is he to be sold, for his theft.
4 Haddiise wuxuu xaday iyagoo nool gacantiisa laga helo, ama dibi ha noqdo amase dameer, amase lax, waa inuu labanlaab u bixiyaa.
If the thing stolen is found in his hand—whether ox or ass or sheep, alive, with two, shall he make restitution.
5 Haddii nin beer canab ah ama beer kale xoolo daajiyo, oo uu neefkiisa ku sii daayo si uu nin kale beertiis u daaqo, de markaas waa inuu meesha beertiisa ugu wanaagsan iyo meesha beertiisa canabka ah ugu wanaagsan ugu magdhabaa.
When a man causeth a field or a vineyard to be depastured, or hath sent in his own cattle and stripped the field of another, he shall, surely make restitution, out of his own field, according to the yield thereof; or if, all the field, he depasture, with the best of his own field, or with the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
6 Haddii dab baxo, oo uu qodxanta qabsado, oo uu wada gubo xidhmooyinka sarreenka ah ama sarreenka weli baalka ku yaal, ama beerta oo dhan, markaas kii dabka shiday waa inuu magdhabaa.
When a fire breaketh out and hath come upon thorns and so there is consumed a stack of sheaves, or the standing corn, or the field, he that kindled the fire, shall surely make restitution.
7 Haddii nin deriskiisa lacag ama alaab ammaano ugu dhiibto, oo ninka gurigiisii laga xado, oo markaas tuuggii la helo, waa inuu labanlaab u magdhabaa.
When a man giveth unto his neighbour silver or jewelry, to keep, and it is stolen out of the house of the man:
8 Haddiise aan tuuggii la helin, markaas waa in ninkii guriga lahaa xaakinnada u soo dhowaadaa si loo caddeeyo inuu alaabtii deriskiisa fartiisa saaray iyo in kale.
if the thief be found, he shall give in restitution double, if the thief be not found, then shall the owner of the house be brought near unto God to swear that he hath not laid his hand on the property of his neighbour.
9 Waayo, wax kasta oo xadgudub ah ama ha noqdo dibi aawadiis, ama dameer aawadiis, ama lax aawadeed, ama dhar aawadiis, ama wax kasta oo baadi ah, haddii la leeyahay, Waa kan, waa in labada qolo arrintooda xaakinnada la hor keenaa. Oo midkii xaakinnadu ku xukumaan waa inuu deriskiisa labanlaab ugu magdhabaa.
For any affair of trespass—for an ox, for an ass, for a sheep, for a mantle for anything lost as to which one could say—This is it, unto God, shall come the affair of them both, —he whom God shall condemn, shall make restitution of double to his neighbour.
10 Haddii nin deriskiisa ammaano ugu dhiibto dameer ama dibi, ama lax amase neef uun, markaas hadduu dhinto, ama wax gaadhaan, ama la kaxaysto iyadoo aan la arkayn,
When a man delivereth unto his neighbour, an ass, or an ox or a sheep, or any beast, to keep, —and it dieth or is fractured, or is driven away, no one beholding,
11 markaas waa in dhaartii Rabbiga la dhex dhigaa labadooda, si loo caddeeyo inuu fartiisa saaray xoolihii deriskiisa iyo in kale, oo kii lahaana waa inuu aqbalaa, oo waxbana loo magdhabi maayo.
the oath of Yahweh, shall come between them both, That he hath not laid his hand on the property of his neighbour, —then shall the owner thereof accept it and he shall not make restitution.
12 Laakiinse haddii laga xado, waa inuu isagu qofkii lahaa u magdhabaa.
But, if it be verily stolen, from him, he shall make restitution to the owner thereof.
13 Haddiise dugaag bakhtiisto, waa inuu marag ahaan u keenaa, oo wixii dugaaggu bakhtiistay waxba ka magdhabi maayo.
If it be, verily torn in pieces, he shall bring it in as a witness—for that which was torn, he shall not make restitution.
14 Oo haddii nin deriskiisa neef ka ammaahdo, oo ay wax gaadhaan amaba uu dhinto, isagoo aan ninkii lahaa la joogin, kaasu hubaal waa inuu magdhabaa.
And when a man asketh aught of his neighbour, and it is fractured or dieth, its owner, not being with it, he shall, surely make restitution.
15 Haddiise kii lahaa la joogay, waa inuusan waxba ka magdhabin, oo hadduu kiro ahaa, kiradiisii waa laga xisaabay.
If, its owner, was with it, he shall not make restitution, —if it is, hired, it cometh into its hire.
16 Oo haddii nin sasabto gabadh bikrad ah oo aan doonanayn, oo uu iyada la seexdo, de markaas waa inuu yarad ka bixiyo oo uu guursadaa iyada.
And, when a man enticeth a virgin who is not betrothed, and lieth with her, he shall, surely pay a purchase-price, that she may be his wife.
17 Haddiise aabbeheed innaba u diido inuu isaga siiyo, de markaas waa inuu bixiyaa intii gabadh bikrad ah yaradkeedu yahay.
If her father utterly refuse, to give her to him, silver, shall he weigh out, according to the purchase-price of virgins.
18 Saaxirad inay sii noolaato waa inaadan u fasaxin.
A sorceress, shalt thou not suffer to live.
19 Ku alla kii neef u galmooda, hubaal waa in la dilaa.
Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
20 Kii wax u bixiya ilaah kale oo aan Rabbiga keligiis ah ahayn, kaas waa in dhammaantiis la baabbi'iyaa.
He that sacrificeth to the gods shall be devoted to destruction, —except [he sacrificeth] to Yahweh alone.
21 Oo qariib waa inaadan xumayn, ama waa inaadan dulmin, waayo, idinba qariib baad ku ahaydeen dalkii Masar.
And, a sojourner, shalt thou not tread down neither shalt thou drive him away, —for sojourners, ye became in the land of Egypt.
22 Waa inaydnaan dhibin carmal, ama ilmo agoon ah.
Neither widow nor fatherless, shalt thou humiliate:
23 Oo si kasta ha noqotee haddii aad iyaga dhibtid, oo ay ii qayshadaan hubaal qayladooda waan maqli doonaa,
if thou, do humiliate, him, when he in anywise crieth out unto me, I will, surely hear, his outcry:
24 oo aad baan u cadhoon doonaa, oo markaasaan seef idinku dili doonaa, kolkaasaa naagihiinnu waxay noqon doonaan carmallo, carruurtiinnuna agoon.
so shall kindle mine anger, and I will slay you with the sword, —and your wives, shall become widows, and your, sons fatherless.
25 Oo haddaad lacag ammaahisid dadkayga masaakiinta ah oo kula jooga, waa inaadan ku noqon sidii mid dayn ku leh ama waa inaadan waxba kor saarin.
If, silver, thou wilt lend unto my people—unto the humbled one by thee, thou shalt not be to him like one that lendeth on interest, —thou shalt not lay upon him interest.
26 Haddaad deriskaaga dharkiisa rahmad uga qaadatid waa inaad u celisaa intaan qorraxdu dhicin,
If thou, do take in pledge, the mantle of thy neighbour, by the going in of the sun, shalt thou restore it to him;
27 waayo, kaasu waa kan qudh ah oo uu isa saari jiray, oo waa dharkii uu huwan jiray, oo muxuu ku seexan doonaa? Oo waxaa dhici doonta in markuu ii qayshado, aan maqli doono, waayo, anigu waan raxmad badnahay.
for that is his only covering, that, is his mantle, for his skin, —wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass when he maketh outcry unto me, then will I hear because, gracious, I am.
28 Waa inaadan xaakinnada caayin, mid dadkaaga u taliyana ha habaarin.
God, shalt thou not revile, —and a prince among thy people, shalt thou not curse.
29 Waa inaadan ka raagin inaad wax ka bixiso midhahaaga badan iyo dheecaanka macsaraddaada. Oo curadyada dadkaagana waa inaad aniga i siisaa.
Thy fulness and thine outflow, shalt thou not delay, —the firstborn of thy sons, shalt thou give to me.
30 Oo sidaas oo kalena waa inaad ka yeeshaa dibiyadaada iyo idahaaga; toddoba maalmood waa inuu hooyadiis la joogaa, maalinta siddeedaadna waa inaad ii bixisaa.
Thus, shalt thou do with thine ox with thy sheep, —seven days, shall it be with its dam, on the eighth day, shalt thou give it to me.
31 Oo waa inaad dad quduus ah ii ahaataan, oo sidaas daraaddeed waa inaydnaan cunin hilib neef oo dugaag berrinka ku bakhtiistay, laakiinse waa inaad eeyaha u tuurtaan.
Holy men, therefore shall ye truly become to me, —and flesh in the field torn to pieces, shall ye not eat, to the dogs, shall ye cast it.
