< Wacdiyahii 3 >
1 Wax kastaaba waxay leeyihiin wakhti u khaas ah, wax kasta oo samada ka hooseeyaaba waxay leeyihiin wakhti go'an.
For, every thing, there is a season, —and a time for every pursuit, under the heavens: —
2 Waxaa jira wakhti la dhasho, iyo wakhti la dhinto; wakhti wax la beero, iyo wakhti wixii la beeray la gurto;
A time to be born, and a time to die, —A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted;
3 wakhti wax la dilo, iyo wakhti wax la bogsiiyo; wakhti wax la dumiyo, iyo wakhti wax la dhiso;
A time to kill, and a time to heal, —A time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 wakhti la ooyo iyo wakhti la qoslo; wakhti la baroorto, iyo wakhti la cayaaro;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh, —A time to wail, and a time to dance for joy;
5 wakhti dhagaxyo la xooro, iyo wakhti dhagaxyo la soo ururiyo; wakhti laysku duubo, iyo wakhti iskuduubidda la daayo;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to heap up stones, —A time to embrace, and a time to be far from loving embrace;
6 wakhti wax la doondoono, iyo wakhti wax la lumiyo; wakhti wax la sii haysto iyo wakhti wax la xooro;
A time to seek, and a time to give up as lost, —A time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 wakhti wax la jeexjeexo, iyo wakhti wax la tolo; wakhti la aamuso iyo wakhti la hadlo;
A time to rend, and a time to sew, —A time to be silent, and a time to speak;
8 wakhti wax la jeclaado iyo wakhti wax la necbaado; wakhti dagaaleed, iyo wakhti nabdeed.
A time to love and a time to hate, —A time of war, and a time of peace.
9 Kii shaqeeyaa bal maxaa faa'iido ah oo uu ka helaa hawshiisa uu ku hawshoodo?
What profit hath he that worketh, in that wherein, himself, hath toiled?
10 Dhibaatadii Ilaah binu-aadmiga u siiyey inay ku hawshoodaan ayaan arkay.
I looked at the employment which God hath given to the sons of men, to work therein:
11 Wax kastuu ka dhigay inay wakhtigooda quruxsanaadaan, oo haddana daa'imnimadii ayuu qalbigooda ku beeray, hase ahaatee binu-aadmigu ma uu garto shuqulkii Ilaah sameeyey tan iyo bilowgii ilaa ugudambaysta.
Everything, hath he made beautiful in its own time, —also, intelligence, hath he put in their heart, without which men could not find out the work which God hath wrought, from the beginning even unto the end.
12 Waan ogahay inaan binu-aadmigu lahayn wax uga wanaagsan inay iska farxaan oo ay cimrigooda oo dhan wanaag sameeyaan mooyaane.
I know that there is no blessedness in them, —save to be glad, and to do well with one’s life.
13 Oo weliba waa hibo Ilaah in nin kastaaba wax cuno oo wax cabbo, oo uu wanaag ku istareexo intuu hawshoodo oo dhan.
Though indeed, that any man should eat and drink, and see blessedness, in all his toil, it is, the gift of God.
14 Waxaan ogahay in wax kasta oo Ilaah sameeyaaba ay weligood sii raagayaan. Waxba laguma dari karo, waxbana lagama dhimi karo. Oo Ilaah wuxuu saas u yeelay in dadku ka cabsado.
I know, that, whatsoever God doeth, the same, shall be age-abiding, unto it, there is nothing to add, and, from it, there is nothing to take away, —and, God, hath done it, that men should stand in awe before him.
15 Waxa haatan jiraa horeba way u jireen, oo waxa jiri doonaana horeba way u jireen, oo Ilaahna wuxuu doondoonaa wixii hore u dhaafay.
That which was, already, had been, and, that which shall be, already, shall have been, —but, God, seeketh that which hath been chased away.
16 Weliba waxaan kaloo qorraxda hoosteeda ku arkay in meeshii garsooridda ay caddaaladdarro ku jirto, oo meeshii xaqnimadana ay xumaanu ku jirto.
Then, again, I saw under the sun, the place of justice, that there was lawlessness, and, the place of righteousness, that there was lawlessness.
17 Waxaan qalbigayga iska idhi, Ilaah baa u kala garsoori doona kan xaqa ah iyo kan sharka ah, waayo, wax kasta iyo shuqul kastaaba halkaasay wakhti ku leeyihiin.
Said, I, in my heart, Both the righteous and the lawless, will God judge, —for [there will be] a time for every pursuit, and concerning every work—there.
18 Waxaan qalbigayga iska idhi, Waxaa Ilaah doonaya inuu binu-aadmiga u tijaabiyo inay ogaadaan inay xayawaan yihiin.
Said, I, in my heart, as concerning the sons of men, That God was minded to prove them, —and that they might see, that they were beasts, of themselves.
19 Waayo, wixii binu-aadmiga ku dhacaaba xayawaankana way ku dhacaan, oo xataa isku wax baa ku dhaca, oo sidii midkood u dhinto ayaa kan kalena u dhinta, oo weliba dhammaantood waxay leeyihiin isku neef, oo dadku xayawaanka waxba ma dheera, waayo, wax kastaaba waa wax aan waxba tarayn.
For, as regardeth the destiny of the sons of men and the destiny of beasts, one fate, have they, as dieth the one, so, dieth the other, and, one spirit, have they all, —and, the pre-eminence of man over beast, is nothing, for, all, were vanity:
20 Kulli isku meel bay tagaan, oo kulligood ciiddaa laga abuuray, oo kulligoodna ciidday ku wada noqon doonaan.
all, go unto one place, —all, came from the dust, and all, return to the dust.
21 Waayo, bal yaa yaqaan in dadka naftiisu ay kor tagto iyo in xayawaanka naftiisu ay dhulka hoos u tagto iyo in kale?
Who knoweth the spirit of the sons of men, whether it, ascendeth, above, —or the spirit of the beast, whether it, descendeth, below, to the earth?
22 Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed waxaan ogaaday inaan dadka wax u dhaama la arag in nin kasta shuqulladiisa ku farxo mooyaane, waayo, taasu waa qaybtiisii, maxaa yeelay, bal yaa isaga dib u soo celinaya inuu arko waxa dabadiis ahaan doona?
So I saw, that there was nothing better than that a man should be glad in his works, for, that, is his portion, —for who can bring him in, to look upon that which shall be after him?
