< Sharciga Kunoqoshadiisa 14 >

1 Idinku waxaad tihiin Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah carruurtiisii, haddaba qof dhintay aawadiis jidhkiinna ha u goynina, oo indhihiinna dhexdoodana ha u xiirina.
“We are people who belong to Yahweh our God. So, when people die, do not show that you are grieving by gashing/cutting yourselves or by shaving the hair on your foreheads [like the other people-groups do].
2 Waayo, waxaad Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah u tihiin dad quduus ah, oo Rabbigu wuxuu idiin doortay inaad ahaataan dad hanti isaga uga ah dadyowga dhulka jooga oo dhan.
We belong to Yahweh alone. Yahweh chose us from all the other people-groups on the earth to be his special people.
3 Waa inaydaan cunin innaba wax karaahiyo ah.
“Do not eat anything that [Yahweh] detests.
4 Kuwanu waa xayawaanka aad hilibkooda cunaysaan, oo waa lo'da, iyo idaha, iyo riyaha,
The animals [whose meat] you are permitted to eat are cattle, sheep, goats,
5 iyo deerada, iyo cawsha, iyo dibtaagta, iyo garannuugta, iyo goodirka, iyo biciidka, iyo adhidibadeedka.
deer, gazelles, wild goats, antelopes, and mountain sheep.
6 Xayawaan kasta oo raafkiisu kala jeexan yahay, oo calyanaqsiga raamsado oo xayawaanka ka mid ah kaas waa inaad cuntaan.
Those are animals that have split hoofs and that also (chew their cuds/regurgitate their food [from their stomachs] to chew it again).
7 Habase yeeshee kuwa caynkan ah oo calyanaqsiga raamsado oo raafka jeexan leh waa inaydaan cunin, kuwaasoo ah geela iyo bakaylaha iyo walada, maxaa yeelay, calyanaqsiga way raamsadaan laakiinse raafkoodu ma kala jeexna, oo iyagu waa idinka nijaas,
But there are other animals that chew their cuds that you must not eat. Those are camels, rabbits, and rock badgers. They chew their cuds, but their hooves are not split. So they are not acceptable for you to eat.
8 oo doofaarkana ha cunina, maxaa yeelay, isaga raafkiisu waa kala jeexan yahay, calyanaqsigase ma raamsado, sidaas daraaddeed waa idinka nijaas, oo kuwaas hilibkooda waa inaydaan cunin, bakhtigoodana waa inaydaan taaban.
Do not eat pigs. They are unacceptable for you to eat; their hooves are split, but they do not chew cud. Do not eat the meat of those animals; do not even touch their dead bodies.
9 Waxa biyaha ku dhex jira oo dhan kuwan ka cuna: wax alla wixii baalal iyo qolfo leh cuna,
You are permitted to eat any fish that has scales and fins.
10 laakiinse wax alla wixii aan baalal iyo qolfo lahayn waa inaydaan cunin, maxaa yeelay, waa idinka nijaas.
But anything else [that lives in the water] that does not have scales and fins, you must not eat, because [if you eat them], you will become unacceptable [to Yahweh].
11 Haadda daahirka ah oo dhan waad cuni kartaan.
“You are permitted to eat the flesh of any bird that is acceptable [to Yahweh].
12 Laakiinse ha cunina haadda caynkan ah: baqalyada, iyo babawga, iyo saratoosiyaha,
But eagles, vultures, black vultures,
13 iyo xuunshada, iyo shimbirlaayaha, iyo faragooysta caynkeeda,
buzzards, all kinds of kites,
14 iyo cayn kasta oo tuke ah,
all kinds of crows,
15 iyo gorayada, iyo aboodiga, iyo shimbirbadeedda, iyo cayn kasta oo haadka adag ah,
ostriches, seagulls,
16 iyo guumaysta yar, iyo guumaysta weyn, iyo guumaysgeesaleyda,
owls, hawks, falcons,
17 iyo cantalyaaga, iyo gorgorka, iyo xeebajoogta,
pelicans, vultures that eat dead animals, cormorants,
18 iyo xuurta, iyo haadbiyoodda iyo caynteeda, iyo ceelaljoogta, iyo fiidmeerta.
storks, herons, hoopoes, and bats, you must not eat.
19 Oo wax baalal leh oo gurguurta oo dhammu waa idinka nijaas, oo iyaga waa inaan la cunin.
“All insects with wings [and which walk on the ground] are unacceptable [to Yahweh]; do not eat them.
20 Laakiinse haadda daahirka ah oo dhan waad cuni kartaan.
But other insects with wings [and which hop along the ground] are acceptable to eat.
21 Oo wax alla wixii iska dhinta waa inaydaan cunin, laakiinse shisheeyihii irdihiinna ku jira waad siin kartaan isagu ha cunee, amase ajnabiga waad ka iibsan karaysaan, waayo, waxaad Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah u tihiin dad quduus ah. Oo waxar waa inaydaan ku karsan caanihii hooyadeed.
“Do not eat any animal that has died naturally, [because its blood has not been drained out]. You may allow foreigners who live among you to eat those things or you may sell them to other foreigners. But you belong to Yahweh our God; [and those who belong to him are not permitted to eat the meat of animals whose blood has not been drained out]. “You must not cook a young sheep or goat in its mother’s milk.”
22 Oo waa inaad toban meelood meel ka bixisaa midhaha abuurkaaga oo ah waxa sannad kasta beerta kaaga baxa oo dhan.
“Once each year you must set apart (a tithe/10 percent) of all the crops that are produced/harvested in your fields.
23 Oo Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah meesha uu u dooranayo inuu magiciisa dhigo hortiisa waa inaad ku cuntaa meel tobnaadka hadhuudhkaaga, iyo kan khamrigaaga, iyo kan saliiddaada, iyo curadyada lo'daada iyo kuwa adhigaaga, inaad barato inaad Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah ka cabsato had iyo goorba.
Take those things to the place that Yahweh our God will choose [for you to worship him]. There eat the tithes of your grain, your wine, your [olive] oil, and the meat of the firstborn male animals of your cattle and your sheep. Do this in order that you may learn to always revere Yahweh, [the one who has blessed you by giving you these things].
24 Oo haddii jidku kugu dheer yahay, oo aad u qaadi kari weydo, meesha kaa fog aawadeed oo uu Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ahu u dooranayo inuu magiciisa dhigo, markii Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ahu ku barakeeyo,
If the place that Yahweh has chosen [for you to worship him] is very far from your home, with the result that you are not able to take there the tithes [of your crops] with which Yahweh has blessed you, do this:
25 markaas waa inaad lacag u beddeshaa, oo aad lacagta gacanta ku qabsataa, oo markaas waa inaad tagtaa meesha Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ahu dooranayo,
Sell [IDM] the tithes of your crops, wrap the money carefully [in a cloth], and take it with you to the place of worship that Yahweh has chosen.
26 oo markaas waxaad lacagta ku soo iibsataa wax alla wixii naftaadu doonayso oo ah dibi, ama ido, ama khamri, ama wax lagu sakhraamo, ama wax alla wixii nafsaddaadu ku weyddiisato, oo waxaad ku cuntaa Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah hortiisa, oo waa inaad adiga iyo reerkaaguba faraxdaan.
There, [with that money], you may buy whatever you want to—beef or lamb or wine or fermented drinks. And there, in the presence of Yahweh, you and your families should eat [and drink] those things and be happy.
27 Oo waa inaadan dayrin kan reer Laawi oo irdahaaga ku jira, maxaa yeelay, isagu qayb iyo dhaxal midna idinlama laha.
But be sure to not neglect/forget [to help] the descendants of Levi who live in your towns, because they will not own any land.
28 Oo saddex sannadood oo kasta markay dhammaadaanba waa inaad soo bixisaa meeltobnaadka waxa sannaddaas kuu baxay, oo waxaad ku kaydsataa irdahaaga gudahooda.
“At the end of every three years, bring a tithe of all your crops that have been produced/harvested in that year and store it in your towns.
29 Oo markaas waxaa iman oo ka cuni oo ka dhergi doona kan reer Laawi, waayo, isagu idinlama laha qayb iyo dhaxal toona, iyo qariibka, iyo agoonta, iyo carmalka inuu Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ahu kugu barakeeyo shuqulka aad gacantaada ku qabato oo dhan.
That food is for the descendants of Levi, because they do not have their own land, and for foreigners [who live among you], and for orphans and widows who live in your towns. They are permitted to come [to where the food is stored] and take what they need. Do that in order that Yahweh our God will bless you in everything that you do.”
