1 Haddaba rasuulladii iyo walaalihii Yahuudiya joogay ayay waxay maqleen in dadka aan Yuhuudda ahaynna ay ereygii Ilaah aqbaleen.

NOW the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

2 Oo markii Butros Yeruusaalem yimid, kuwii ka mid ahaa kuwii gudnaa ayaa la murmay isagii,

And when Peter went up to Jerusalem, they of the circumcision disputed with him,

3 oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Waxaad u tagtay niman aan la gudin, waadna la cuntay.

saying, Thou hast gone in to men holding uncircumcision, and hast eaten with them.

Then Peter taking up the matter from the beginning, explained it to them regularly, saying,

I was in the city of Joppa praying and I saw in a trance a vision, a certain vessel descending as a vast sheet let down from heaven by its four corners; and it came close to me:

6 oo markaan aad u fiiriyey, ayaan ka fikiray oo waxaan arkay xayawaankii afarta lugood lahaa oo dhulka, iyo dugaagta, iyo waxa gurguurta, iyo haadda cirka.

on which looking attentively, I perceived, and saw the quadrupeds of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the reptiles, and the birds of the air.

7 Oo waxaan maqlay cod igu leh, Kac, Butrosow, gowrac oo cun.

Then I heard a voice saying to me, Rise, Peter; slay and eat.

8 Laakiin waxaan idhi, Saas yaanay noqon, Rabbiyow, maxaa yeelay, wax xaaraan ah oo aan nadiif ahayn, weligay afkayga ma gelin.

But I said, By no means, Lord: for never yet hath any thing common or unclean entered into my mouth.

9 Laakiin markii labaad cod baa samada ka soo jawaabay oo yidhi, Wixii Ilaah nadiifiyey, xaaraan ha ka dhigin.

But the voice replied the second time from heaven, What God hath cleansed, call not thou common.

10 Taasna waxay dhacday saddex goor; markaasaa dhammaantood mar labaad samada kor loogu bixiyey.

Now this was repeated thrice: and the whole withdrawn again into heaven.

11 Oo bal eega, markiiba saddex nin baa istaagtay gurigaannu joognay hortiisa, kuwaasoo la iiga soo diray Kaysariya.

And, lo! immediately three men stood before the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

12 Ruuxuna wuxuu ii sheegay inaan raaco iyaga, anoo aan shaki lahayn. Oo lixdatan walaalaha ihina way i raaceen; waxaannan galnay ninkii gurigiisii;

And the Spirit bade me go with them, making no hesitation. But with me went also these six brethren, and we entered into the man’s house:

13 markaasuu wuxuu noo sheegay siduu gurigiisa ugu arkay malaa'igta taagan oo ku leh, Yaafaa cid u dir oo uga soo yeedh Simoon kan la yidhaahdo Butros;

and he informed us how he had seen an angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and invite Simon, who is surnamed Peter;

14 kaasoo kugula hadli doona hadallo aad ku badbaadi doontid, adiga iyo dadka gurigaaga oo dhammiba.

who will speak words to thee, by which thou mayest be saved, and thy house.

15 Oo kolkaan bilaabay inaan hadlo ayaa Ruuxa Quduuska ah ku soo degay iyaga siduu bilowgii inoogu soo degay innagana.

So when I had begun to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, just as on us at the beginning.

16 Markaasaan xusuustay ereygii Rabbiga, siduu u yidhi, Runtii Yooxanaa wuxuu dadka ku baabtiisay biyo; laakiin idinka waxaa laydinku baabtiisi doonaa Ruuxa Quduuska ah.

Then I recollected the word of the Lord, how he had said, John indeed baptised with water; but ye shall be baptised with the Holy Ghost.

17 Haddaba haddii Ilaah iyaga siiyey isku hadiyaddii, siduu inoo siiyey markii aynu Rabbi Ciise Masiix rumaysannay, anigu kumaan ahaa kaygan Ilaah diidi karaa?

If God then gave an equal gift to them even as to us, on believing on the Lord Jesus Christ; I, indeed, who was I, that I should be able to restrain God?

18 Oo markay waxyaalahaas maqleen, ayay dooddii ka aamuseen, Ilaah bayna ammaaneen, oo waxay yidhaahdeen, Haddaba xataa dadka aan Yuhuudda ahaynna Ilaah baa siiyey toobadkeen inay nolol helaan.

So when they heard these things they were satisfied, and glorified God, saying, Well! then hath God even to the Gentiles given repentance unto life.

19 Haddaba kuwii u kala firidhsanaa, dhibaatadii kacday Istefanos aawadiis, waxay u sodcaaleen tan iyo Foynike iyo Qubrus iyo Antiyokh, iyagoo aan ereyga kula hadlin ninna, Yuhuudda oo keliya mooyaane.

Now those also who were dispersed by the persecution which arose on account of Stephen passed on as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no man except the Jews only.

20 Laakiin waxaa jiray qaar iyaga ka mid ah oo ahaa niman reer Qubrus iyo reer Kuranaya ahaa, kuwaasoo, kolkay Antiyokh yimaadeen, xataa Gariiggiina la hadlay, iyagoo ku wacdiyaya Rabbi Ciise.

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they arrived at Antioch, spake to the Grecian proselytes, preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 Gacanta Rabbiguna waa la jirtay iyaga; oo kuwa tiro badan oo rumaystay baa Rabbiga u soo jeestay.

And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a vast multitude believing, turned to the Lord.

22 Oo warkii iyaga ku saabsanaa baa wuxuu soo gaadhay kiniisaddii Yeruusaalem ku tiil; markaasay Barnabas tan iyo Antiyokh u direen;

And the report concerning them was heard in the ears of the church which was at Jerusalem: and they dispatched Barnabas, to go as far as Antioch.

23 kaasoo farxay markuu yimid oo arkay nimcada Ilaah; wuxuuna kulligood ku waaniyey inay Rabbiga ku xajistaan niyad qalbiga ka timid,

Who, when he arrived there, and beheld the grace of God, rejoiced, and exhorted them all, with full purpose of heart to adhere to the Lord.

24 maxaa yeelay, nin wanaagsan buu ahaa oo waxaa ka buuxsamay Ruuxa Quduuska ah iyo rumaysad; dad badan baana Rabbiga u kordhay.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and a great multitude was added to the Lord.

25 Markaasuu Tarsos tegey inuu Sawlos ka doono;

Then went forth Barnabas to Tarsus, in search of Saul:

26 markuu soo helayna, ayuu Antiyokh keenay. Waxaana dhacday inay sannad dhan kiniisadda la urureen oo ay dad badan wax bareen, oo meeshii ugu horraysay ee xertii loogu yeedhay Masiixiyiin waxay ahayd Antiyokh.

and having found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass, that during a whole year they were jointly employed in that church, and taught a vast multitude, and they called for the first time in Antioch the disciples Christians.

27 Wakhtigaas waxaa Yeruusaalem ka yimid nebiyo inay Antiyokh tagaan.

Now there came down in those days prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch.

28 Markaasaa mid iyaga ka mid ah oo Agabos la odhan jiray ayaa istaagay, oo wuxuu Ruuxa ku sheegay in abaar weyni dunida ku dhici doonto, taas oo dhacday wakhtigii Kalawdiyos.

And one of them named Agabus, rising up, signified by the spirit that a great famine was coming upon the whole habitable globe: which also came in the reign of Claudius Caesar.

29 Markaasaa mid kasta oo xertii ka mid ihiba, sidii tabartiisu ahayd, wuxuu goostay inuu caawimaad u diro walaalihii Yahuudiya jooga,

Then the disciples, as everyman had ability, determined every individual of them to send a sum to be distributed among the brethren who dwelt in Judea:

30 oo sidaasay yeeleen, oo waxay waayeelladii ugu sii dhiibeen gacanta Barnabas iyo Sawlos.

which also they did, sending it off to the presbyters by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
